I’ve been listening to Trivium since Ember. I literally love every song they have produced. This is still my favorite song of all time, probably because of nostalgia, but regardless I always find myself coming back to watch this video. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Not dissing travis but this is not his best performance, the double kicks are very unclean and didn’t really feel like he got control over them. The ascendancy cut is much better
The reason for doing so is because it makes it easier to complete more technical parts with little to no errors. Wearing your strap super low is pretty pointless
@@AnthonyTLKR exactly what i was about to say man. Wearing the strap too low just makes it harder to position your hands correctly.. unless you're like alexi laiho
@@AnthonyTLKR 100% correct. I've played for 2 years with low positioned guitar, it just makes you look cool. Played for 5 more years and I was able to do impossible things on high strap that you cannot do on the other.
I'm new to this band, and I keep seeing that people are mad about the change in their sound on their new record, but I personally enjoy it more. Don't get me wrong, I like this too! And I love metalcore, but I appreciate that the singer has pushed his vocals to the next level and I think the new vocals and better writing of their songs has made them heavier, and way more technical. The guitar playing is really solid here especially for their age at the time, but it's crazy to see how far their playing has evolved. The solos on Shogun make this look like the solo for Smells Like Teen Spirit. They've gone from prodigies to full-on virtuosos.
