Interview portion is very cool. The performance footage is from Ultrasonic Studios, Hempstead, New York on September 19, 1974. Thank you! My father was Lowell George.
I think the interview was from the Aussie tour around 1976. Greatest band of all time Forrest but Feats were never the same without your Dad IMO. And love Inara's work to! Good to see the genes passed on!!
Topanga homie!!!
really?
I actually cried when I saw your pop’s jacket and a guitar in the hall of fame museum. Lowell and John Hartford are my favorite artists to ever live. I never got to see either🙏 Much love from the hollers of West Virginia v
Your Dad had great taste in cartoons too. Love the Bugs Bunny Shirt!
Lowell looked so clearheaded, together and cogent. Incredibly sad ending to a major talent and under appreciated band.
Not sure about them being unappreciated especially not in Britain.
I could listen to Lowell’s voice all day and nice. So relaxing and smooth.
Wow..thank you for this lost gem! There's never been another like Lowell and the mighty Little Feat!
Outstanding, one of a kind band. I saw them 4 or 5 times here in Houston. Even the original 4 piece line-up! 😻👍
that's some of the best LOWELL GEORGE footage I've ever seen. They were never the same without him, when he went solo and then passed on shortly thereafter
Kenny Gradney looks so cool with that monster Afro and distinguished moustache.
Two degrees in Be-Bop, a PHD in Swing, He’s a Master of rhythm….
Lowell’s style was musicianship unsurpassed. Left us way too soon. Thankfully we have his recorded legacy.
🎵 "Nacodoches to New Orleans." I'm living in Nacodoches now. 😻
Thank you! Good to hear from you Forrest! All the best!
I've been trying to understand what's so special about Little Feat for years; for the first time, I can sort of see it now after watching this "rock n'roll doctor" performance. Pretty groovy with all the different backup voices and the call and response, etc. Wish I could find a whole set from this early period.

🤩
One of the coolest people to ever live
Interviewed in Sydney International Airport. 😎🇦🇺👍🏻
Steely Dan, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Little Feat...are there any other bands that epitomize '70's rock?
GFR, BTO, BST, CHICAGO.
DOOB IE BRO'S.
SWEET.
Marshall Tucker Band, Traffic, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac
Nilsson.
Good ole days.
He didn't sell out for money. He kept his integrity, and played his music as he felt it. Too bad he was done in by his addictions- (and there were many).
& Came Out SmellING like A ROSE!. ROCK ON CHILDREN.
Yes, the interviewer has an Australian accent, probably the ABC, Australian tour.
Golden Throat.
Fuck….Lowell died too young.
too "deadish" for me. see
Little Feat absolutely mopped the floor with the Dead. I don't hear the comparison haha.
@@boaz9208 I agree 100%
I don’t hear any resemblance to the dead
