This is my daily dose of youtube videos now. Good vibes, history, real travels wow nothing compares to vloggers out there. By the way Mr. Mergim, thank you for being an ambassador of our lovely country Philippines 🇵🇭 your second home.
Born and raised in the Philippines, but, I am learning my Philippine history just now from a British who arrived just two weeks ago. Thank you for your history lessons Merg!
Hi Mergim, I'm the one who called you at Ylaya Street in Divisoria. I hope your doing great here in the Philippines. Places are really good in here, but what is best is not our beautiful sceneries hence it's the Filipino people. Enjoy your stay! Mabuhay!
You should consider the Philippines to be your home base for your youtube channel, the amount of support you get and the many views you get is unmatched from the past videos you made. I compared and see thousands of more views compared to your old thai videos. Not saying anything bad about thailand but the amount of support the filipino community is pouring on your channel is crazy! Keep up the good work.

If you like Markets try to visit Marikina City (street) market mall -its basically the Divisoria of Metroeast. It's also huge and with roofs but more organized and clean. The street market mall of Marikina was featured in a Bourne Legacy film. You can take the LRT line 2 from Recto LRT station in Manila to get to Marikina City and discover that part of Mega Manila which is quite different bike friendly, clean and green.

Yes that’s where I get my christmas gifts to my young students and family. The amount of people going there probably multiplies specially on holiday season.
New subscriber here. Been watching your videos for a while now, but just recently subscribed coz I think you've earned it - the effort you put into your videos is very commendable. It's one thing to just go around the Philippines vlogging, but I appreciate the research you put into it, and the quality is top notch. Also liked the fact that you're willing to go to the routes less travelled - you venturing into narrow alleys to explore the real everyday life of the people is something you never see foreign vloggers do. Hoping to see more of your travels around the archipelago. Cheers!
One thing I noticed about your videos is how you produce and tell the story which is a breath of fresh air for foreigners doing vlogs about our country. GREAT Job in creating interesting and entertaining videos. I can't wait for your island travel videos...
Hi, new subscriber and been catching up on your Philippine blogs, really like the quality and excellent production value of your vlogs. You actually show the beauty of where you have been and the history and background .like the way you are respectful of what you are blogging and treating the locals well and tipping (giving back to the community). Keep up the good work, hope you travel north to Vigan and the rice terraces around Baguio before doing Palawan,Coron and Borocay.Keep enjoying the street food
Hello Mergim watching from Brunei..I am a Filipino working here since you stay and vlogging in our country I always watch your vlog..Stay forever in the Philippines you can discovers many interesting places.
Hey Mergim, try to hit the province now... i know its rainy season and its a little risky on the island, try to go to TAGAYTAY (ta-gay-tay, "a" as in apple and not Ta-gey-tey 😆), its only 2 hours (by land travel) from Manila. the scene there is awesome! You will find there the smallest active volcano in the world.. and try to find the Starbucks coffee with the view, or "bag of beans" cafe. you can also try to taste the "BEST BULALO".. a beef soup for rainy season!
Good morning Mergim & Maya; Lucky Chinatown, Tutuban Mall, Tabora, 168, 169, 999 and Divisoria Mall is all part of Divisoria, including the edge of the port where the dried sea produce are. *One day tour is not enough to complete Divisoria* Most items you buy in Shopee and Lazada are from these malls. The difference from Quiapo Market is the electronics, uniforms and medical items. Ongpin is for food and gold/jewelries.
168 is just a little somewhere behind The Lucky Chinatown Mall. So if you live somewhere near Lucky Chinatown, you’re already beside that area of Divisoria already. There are several wholesale mall buildings beside it - 168, 11/88 (or99?), City Square, etc.
Hi Mergen, you are right Tutuban back in the day used to be a train station. From where you walk if you look down you will still see the iron train tracks. A few years ago that area was practically impassable but recent clearing operations has decongested it somewhat. Thank you for another interesting blog. Keep up the great work!
There is Still a functioning train station at the back of the mall. Take the METRO SOUTH COMNUTER if you wanna go to MUNTINLUPA. I think it reaches Biñan, too. I have tried riding from España to Muntinlupa. Fully airconditioned.
You can also visit Quiapo Church it is near Divisoria. Also Manila Zoo has just opened and entrance is free. You could also go to National Museum , Luneta, Ocean Park, Star City, Intramuros and they are all located near each other.
I believe Divisoria is waay bigger than Quiapo market, but that's just my opinion. It's gritty, chaotic and I love it! I dunno I think Chatuchak market in Bangkok is also huge! 👍
Hey Mergim, when we say it in English we say ' the Philippines' or in the Philippines. short from its original " the Philippine Islands, you can use it in your video Title. It is simply like The Netherlands.
Addictive vlog, high quality content and videos. Not boring reason why I always watch your vlogs (every morning) hehehe. Good luck and more subscribers to come.
Tips to consider Why not take your girl to a Manila dinner sunset cruise. Board a spacious modern yacht and cruise along Manila Bay while you enjoy a delightful dinner on board. Immerse yourself in the captivating bay view with this sunset dinner cruise on a yacht with an enchanting live performance from talented local bands. Enjoy the enchanting scenery of Manila Bay and its iconic landmarks. Check out Manila bay yacht charters and cruises. Or you can try Manila bay cruise by Sun Cruises (if you like to visit Corregidor Island) FYI: it's not as expensive as one might think 😉
Mergim, I think you have to visit the other provinces now so they’ll get to know you too. Maybe the beaches aren’t a good idea since it’s been raining a lot but there are other city type provinces to explore (where beaches are not the only tourist spot). Cebu, Iloilo, Baguio (and Benguet province) to name a few, Vigan. Maybe collaborate w another foreign vlogger (couple) to share car rental and do a roadtrip to North Luzon (or South) if you plan to explore Luzon first. Maybe even visit Tagaytay or Antipolo (nearby areas in M Myla but already out of town and diff provinces). Can be day trips but IF commuting and you’ll be doing DAILY vlogging , you’ll simply get more knackered coz traffic is your enemy. Metro Manila is something you can always explore later on (you haven’t even been to QC or Quezon City, Alabang, Ortigas or Mandaluyong areas, etc.) but I think Filipinos in other parts (of the P. I) should get to know you first.
@@myra8158 lol speak for yourself. Everywhere there's pickpockets and people trying to take advantage of you, stop demonizing Cebu just bec you had an unfortunate experience here. A lot of RUclipsrs have been here and enjoyed their stay, without problems.
@@myra8158 well, if i had known Mergim was going to Divisoria (even that busy Tondo street of food stalls for that matter), i would have warned him of pickpockets or to be extra careful. But I'm sure he's been already warned or taking extra precautions to deter such activities since he's been staying in an area known for that from the very beginning in his stay. There will always be petty thieves in questionable areas. You just have to be very careful. So far, he's had ok experiences.
Recently a friend got back from spending 30 days in Philippines , he said Manila is definitely bigger than Bangkok because in 15 days he barely touched 10% of the city Considering it's rainy season on the islands now you're probably better off exploring most of Manila
Hey MERVIN..you have also try to vist GREENHILLS Shopping Mall,..you can have all the Replica and class A brand there, like FENDI, LV, CHANNEL , ROLEX etc,.. its so beautiful and fun to shop, ist in the boundary of San Juan and Ortigas,..and after visiting GREENHILLS mall just a little disrance you can go to THE PODIUM mall!..there you can see all the ELITES living here in the phil. 7:56 Royal Tru (often referred to simply as Royal) is a carbonated fruit-flavored soft drink brand owned by the Coca Cola Company that is only available in the Philippines. The brand was introduced in 1922 by the original San Miguel brewery. Since being acquired by Coca-Cola Philippines unit in 2007, the brand has become the Philippine counterpart of Coca-Cola's Fanta brand. Basically Royal is the Fanta of the Philippines. It has a somewhat similar story to Jollibee in that it was not a clone of an American drink, but already existed in the Philippines and already popular.
Can wait to see more of your travel vlogs outside the city after you fully immersed yourself in different corners of manila. I think youre the only foreign travel vlogger who made lots of contents about manila which is actually good for us to see these parts of the country.
I am pleased that Divisoria is alive again. It was very quiet during the pandemic and many people lost their jobs in the retail business. Great job Philippines for opening up again.
Another great vid. Please visit the southern part of Metro Manila, too. Like Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Alabang. You can drop by on these on your way to Tagaytay. Have a good one!

Hi Mergim. Following the theme of this vlog, consider the following kegendary markets in the Metro. 1. Farmers Market in Cubao - a popular source of raw materials for chefs. 2. Balintawak market beside Ayala Cloverleaf - where the bulk of goods from the North are offloaded 3. Navotas Fish Market - the largest fish market by volume in the Philippines 4. Dangwa Flower Market - the largest flower market in NCR. Also are you into buying the freshest fish, then bringing it to a restaurant to cook for you? Try 4. Dampa Seaside Market in Macapagal Blvd.
Nice! You have just explored the cheapest market in Manila. Unfortuately, the property had just been sold to give way to high rise condo developments. Tutuban will be redeveloped this year to serve as the common station for the north/south comuter railway- its historical built since spanish era.
Thanks for the tip, I think I might have to you know :)
@@MergimVlogsYT enjoy the beauty of the Philippines with Maya and travel safe you two!
I thought it was pronounced 'Tah - guy - tie'
Yes... Try going during the weekend to experience the heavy traffic. Hehehe.
@@winterwolf211 yes. NOT ta-gey-tey because of the accent.
You are both a delight to watch. Very entertaining and informative.
Lets go support Mergim! This guy is legit! Your channel growing so fast
I’m glad it’s growing, road to 50k
Yeah support this channel for 100k mabuhay
very busy, fun, divisoria. eyes are always filled w things to see!!!
I've just watched this vlog before I go to church. Take care always Mergim and Maya.
Thanks bro, hope you have a nice time at church :)
@@angkabilangpanig oh thanks for the info
You can also visit Quiapo Church it is near Divisoria. Also Manila Zoo has just opened and entrance is free. You could also go to National Museum , Luneta, Ocean Park, Star City, Intramuros and they are all located near each other.
Road to 40K. Let's keep on supporting this Channel. Keep it coming!
I believe Divisoria is waay bigger than Quiapo market, but that's just my opinion. It's gritty, chaotic and I love it! I dunno I think Chatuchak market in Bangkok is also huge! 👍
The blind couple singing "Kool Ka Lang" song which means Just Keep Calm. A hit from the mid '90s. 😍😍😍
You can also try Green hills shopping center in San Juan City. There could be a change to bump some celebrities or famous people in the country.
Tips to consider
Why not take your girl to a Manila dinner sunset cruise.
Very nice video ...keep it up
Another great vlog! I can watch them all day! Riding public transport here in PH can be an occupational hazard LOL. Take care
I’m glad you can :)
Whewww you sure have covered a lot on this video! Yet there’s not enough time in a day! I enjoyed this video & thanks for sharing 😊
Recently a friend got back from spending 30 days in Philippines , he said Manila is definitely bigger than Bangkok because in 15 days he barely touched 10% of the city
Considering it's rainy season on the islands now you're probably better off exploring most of Manila
One of the best foreign vloggers these days in the Philippines.... Beautiful and informative Videos ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️....
Keep safe while traveling. More goodvibes and blessing. For your channel
Because that is one of the most expensive and Social CLASS mall in the Phillipies Its architectural can be like more stunning near behind the DUBAI Mall or emirates,.even paradox can’t stand against the elegancy of The PODIUM…
It becomes a daily morning habit to check if you have a new upload 😅 I'm addicted to your vlogs, here's to more subscribers 🥂
Can wait to see more of your travel vlogs outside the city after you fully immersed yourself in different corners of manila. I think youre the only foreign travel vlogger who made lots of contents about manila which is actually good for us to see these parts of the country.
i love watching your vlogs. im always looking forwarding to your new videos
Your uploads has become a part of my morning routine before going to work. Watching from Dubai!

Such a people’s person u are there mate. That trait there brings u closer to the hearts of many. Keep exploring and sending across good vibes. Take care for now👍🏼
The SM mall in Qiuiapo that you have been visit is the 1st SM mall of the country....from humble shoemart to the gigantic SM malls
I admire your intelligence and hardwork for all the research you do.

Greenhills shopping center also is a “baratillo” type of market much like Tutuban but less chaotic.
Mergim love ur style of vlogging with real history narative well studied and ur alternation of High end Places then the next day you travel to places for common masses.2👍👍's Up.
daily dose indeed!!! lI watch this eveyday, love the contents! I miss my country and cannot wait to visit. Thanks to both of you.
You're becoming popular there in Manila. Perhaps some part of the Philippines like me, where I'm living in the southern part of the country. Keep your content coming, mate. We're loving it.

From BGC to Divisoria people recognize you now! Wow!
It’s everywhere, and I’m blown away!
@@MergimVlogsYT people recognizing you everywhere you go makes me feel Manila is just a small town afterall considering your subs is till less than 50k and average viewership is around the same number, give or take.
Kudos to Maya who always patiently beside you while creating your awesome vlogs! She is such a nice gf.Take care to the two of you and goodluck to the success of your channel!
mergim, i just subscribed in your channel just because you interact well with the locals. You dont have to shoot pictures to get the Filipino attention, we get those a lot from other youtubers.. just sit down and talk about your experiences during your first few days in our country and that is going to get you more subscribers and viewers...i wish you a lot more happy experiences in my beautiful philippines.
Ok, I've been checking your ph videos, but was hesitant to sub since I'm already subbed to so many already. I like how I'm seeing areas other vloggers have never been, like the Japanese casino ( I didn't even know ph had it). I'm subscribed to a dozen ph bloggers, and they mostly show the same things (typical tourist places I've seen/watched a dozen times). You have my sub, because you keep filming and doing unique things other vloggers are not doing.
You might want to check and vlog Balintawak Market in QC in the wee hours of morning, the biggest market for fresh produce I guess in Metro Manila. That would be lit.,🤔
Hi there Merg.. finally you discovered our human jungle in the Philippines.!! Be vigilant out there you'll never knew bad elements just around you...Pick pocketer and snatchers are mostly common in a crowded areas..Takecare stay safe..
It is like the Pratunam Market in Bangkok the outside of Divisoria and the 168 Malls is like the Platinum Mall in Bangkok
For dessert always do the mix mix. Mix everything first.
👍❤️🇵🇭🙏 Greetings from Canada. Ty for promoting the Philippines. You are big help to our tourism industry. God Bless you Bro. & enjoy your blessings.
Good afternoon watching from California USA Mabuhay thanks for exploring the Philippines 🇵🇭 Godbless you always 💜💜💜
l love watching your content because your bring the culture of our country to the rest of the world....🇵🇭❤️❤️
Hi Mergim.
Following the theme of this vlog, consider the following kegendary markets in the Metro.
1. Farmers Market in Cubao - a popular source of raw materials for chefs.
2. Balintawak market beside Ayala Cloverleaf - where the bulk of goods from the North are offloaded
3. Navotas Fish Market - the largest fish market by volume in the Philippines
4. Dangwa Flower Market - the largest flower market in NCR.
Also are you into buying the freshest fish, then bringing it to a restaurant to cook for you? Try
Just nearby metro manila, pls visit tagaytay 60 kms down south and clark global city new city being developed 80 kms north of metro manila mla. Keep up the good blog- seems filipinos appreciate you- easily 100 subs in 2 months- esp when you start to travel the islands…
Be careful mergim, there are a lot of snatcher on your surroundings. Happy travel in the Philippines :)
Yep I’ll keep an eye on my surroundings, thanks for the heads up :)
I've never been bored watching ur vlogs.... 😊
Im really pleased to hear that :)

Hi to both of you ! Awesome ! I love to go shopping there but never had a chance to. Thanks again for another interesting place , take care and always be safe . 🇦🇺👍🇵🇭👍🙏🙏🙏
When my wife and I went to divisoria looking for items for our wedding... we went inside a building and found this noodle shop owned by a filipino-chinese...
... it was the best bowl of noodles we ever tasted...
... sadly, I dont remember the building but it is near 168.
Take care alwyz stay inluv more videos to come
I hope you can also visit Eastwood City in Quezon City. It's a beautiful modern area but doesnt get more attention than it deserves.
You are really an intelligent vloger. Researching before vlogging. Divisoria is always crowded since then but cleaner this time
i used to go divisoria atleast once a week and buy some stuff. I hope you could explore more the other side of metro Manila like Quezon city, Ortigas Greenhills Megamall. waiting for your visit also here in Cavite and Tagaytay
It's cool to see everthing's starting to go back to normal now. That's a lot of people. So busy street.
