    What if happen when the ending vowel is 'a' or 'u'?

    • @KoreanClass101
      @KoreanClass101  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Patricia,
      Thanks for posting. You only use 았/었/였 after the verb stem to make it past tense. If the verb stem ends with ㅜ, then it would be followed by 었어요. (every other vowel rather than ㅏ ㅗ is followed by 었어요).
      Cheers,
      Team KoreanClass101.com

    I wanna to ask, iam still confuse about "if the last vowel ㅏ, ㅗ". The last word "know = 알다 "and "cry= 울다" same ㅏ, why know to be 아랐어유, cry to be 우렀어유 not urasseoyo, while the end of the word is ulda,?? Please help me to get this answer, thankyou

      The last vowel before the 다 ending is what I think they were talking about. Because once the word is conjugated from the dictionary form, the 다 is replaced by the appropriate ending. I hope that helps :).

      No u should remove 다, and should add 았어요 or 었어요 based on the last vowel ofthe stem
