Ain't great for dead battery, tried on dead, started around 2.0 volt flashing for around an hour, then went into bad battery mode, the fix, charged a while with regular 1 amp charger, then paralleled 2 dead batteries on one amp charger for about 6 hours, then went back to viking 4 amp still with two batteries in parallel and got 12.9v with one bar and one bar flashing, might have to go back to one amp charger if second bar doesn't kick on, charger runs alot cooler than one amp charger, bought the harbor freight cen-tech 2/10/50 the gauge seemingly had malfunction after first year, then while playing with an inverter 12 v to 120v it stopped working and couldn't find a fuse within, a comparable replacement 12/24 charger from ebay around $25 without the fancy stuff

What happens if you forget to switch to the correct battery mode? I just charged my AMG battery in the std mode by mistake 😮

Using a conventional battery charger on an AGM battery could cause severe damage to the electrolytes and premature failure to the battery.
Conventional chargers also have the potential to cause an AGM battery to literally explode.
NOTE: Don't do that no more :(
