When I first did this boss I was on expert mode, let me just say it was HELL

Personally, I love how it's completely optional. You get nothing from beating it in hard mode - no achievements or anything. It's just a bonus challenge, the hardest thing the base game has in store.
And I still struggled more against hard mode Headhunter.

My theory on this fight is that the first stage is real
But the second and third are all in zeros and the therapist's head
The second is when the therapists infilitrates your mind and attacks your psyche directly but you beat it back by stabbing him in the eye (both in reality and psyche)
The third stage i believe is the therpaist's mind now seperate from his body desperately trying to kill you, maybe if he wins and you give up he takes your body from you, or just makes you brain dead
Or maybe when you kill the eyes, that's when you stab and kill him, and the final phase is him trying everything to survive inside your mind and kill you to take you over.
its chronos withdrawal making you see really weird hallucinations ontop of him having psychic supersoldier serum stuff, so the first phase is real, the second and third are just zero going insane from chronos weird stuff so it looks way crazier than it is

Bruh the eye part is the hardest part for me.
Eye part isn’t that bad, its just that one part where everything is flipped twice and there are multiple colors, that part got me a bit
