WFL is a lathe wilth milling..this is a mill with turning..more power in the milling head than the WFL but limited to short workpieces although great for big diameters.
Howdens compressors just got rid of all their 5axis centers which they machine all compressor blades on and replaced them with 3 wfl and they have increased production so they have replaced 7 centers with 3 mill turns and a Kuka robot you tell me what's the best ?
compressor blades are different from what you are seeing the wfl is a better solution because you can hold the part from both sides which gives you more rigidity and reduce chatter wich allow for higher feedrates and sorter cycle times
no I doubt so because it is a keyturn process the tool geometry is unique at that there is only one company that makes them and it was patented so the software programing was hit and go because there is one use for the software feature

Wohl derzeit mit die beste 5-Achs Fräsmaschine weltweit. Würde viel drum geben dieses Baby zu programmieren und darauf zu arbeiten.

das ist kein zahnrad, sondern eine nabe mit tannenbaumnuten zur aufnahme von turbinenschaufeln einer dampfturbine.
