Bobby is that friend who always has some funny and entertaining stories, but you know he always twists those stories in his favor. So when it comes to serious stuff you know not to trust him and always hear the other side.

I basically tried to downplay the chick to the one dude who was dating her if he asked cuz it was more like she’s not worth it in my mind and if she was looking at other dudes clearly she’s not into him so I tried to get that across to him without straight up ratting on the other dude...while if the other dude trying to mack on her mentioned anything I would be like if u like her u do u and let me know how it goes. But besides that it’s best to just try and stay out of the middle. Otherwise you end up like Bobby and get your ass beat. He tried to play friends to both sides instead of just being like bro, she’s a hoe to Ari. His mistake but not mal intentioned. If Ari had any balls he woulda confronted the guy trying to get with his girl. Instead he let it fester and it ended up almost getting the cops called on him and banned from the comedy club, his passion.

After years of listening to different podcasts (Rogan, Joey Diaz, Tigerbelly, etc.), I realized that a lot of comedians are fucked up scumbags. Like for real. Many are great performers whom I love to watch and listen to for sure. But when they talk about personal matters, it's a mess.

She's bringing baggage from her past and putting it on him when she asks a question like that. That's just not right. Not only that but it's a direct confirmation of mistrust. Once again, this is just me, but a relationship is over when there's no trust. Even if it's something small, I can't date someone if I can't trust. It's a sacred thing. Once it's gone, the chances of your relationship continuing happily ever after are next to none. It goes both ways too, I can't trust someone if they don't trust me. At that point there's nothing left to salvage from the relationship. Taking a break and gaining each other's trust back is the only way to recover from that.

Saying that it doesn't matter what she's been through and that she's bringing baggage is another way of saying she should just get over past abuses and just trust you, but that's not how trauma works. You don't just get over something you've experienced if it had a big impact on you. I was molested when I was a kid, should I just get over that too?

Seems like Ari was probably abusive to Natasha or whatever her name is. When she asks "are you gonna hit me?" I find it hard to believe that it just came out of nowhere.
Maybe bobby helping the other guy was helping Nat get out of an abusive relationship with Ari. Maybe bobby was jealous of Ari becoming a little successful so he fucked with him. I think knowing what the motivation behind bobby helping the other dude would clear some stuff up.

The implication you're making is that Ari only hit Bobby because Bobby is so much smaller than him, and that's simply not the case.

I think most people understand that in a situation like that, the fact that someone gets beat up is no surprise. But who gets punched? Who would *you* punch out in that situation, your slag gf, your worthless home boy, or the guy who doesn't even know you?
