- The Dragon opened with the new Castle area at Legoland Windsor in 1998. It was a version of the original Dragen at Legoland Billund, featuring an animated dark ride through the castle and family-thrills coaster section in the grounds.
A great family attraction that many grew up with!
(The date on the tape is incorrect)
This tape has been donated to Euro Theme Park Archive by the original owner

Went on the dragon the other day, last time I was there the wizard in the turret no longer said anything, but now all the bookshelfs and decorations have been removed and you can see the marks on the walls where they were :(

Nothing's really changed apart from the loudness of the animation and the vibrant colours, madness!
All of the musical changes have been replaced by different music and some animations removed but otherwise the characters are largely the same, its been looked after better than most!
British Theme Park Archive fairy tale brook is basically the same too, I know for a fact that all the Lego figures need cleaning, I was at work today in the dragon and I looked at the figures and was just thinking... I want to clean these 😂
Fairytale Brook had a big change a couple years back and is very different now with many different Lego scenes, sadly not as imaginative as the original!
Has anyone else been his year and noticed how all of the witch and wizard theming in the queue line has been removed? Such a shame. Also, I miss this old medieval style music!
Unfortunately, I don’t think that is the case, as the witches cat and books are now scattered throughout the dark ride section of the ride, as well as the wizards cloaks at the bottom of the queue line.
@@EuroThemeParkArchive four years later nothing has happened and now all we got is advertisements for the LEGOLAND app and screens and crap. In fact I don't even think those screens work anymore.
First ever roller coaster, and really scary at the time actually! Good air time!

The guy and the princess at the beginning have now been moved at the front of the entrance for knights kingdom!

Unfortunately we dont however we do have photographs of it brand new and will feature it in our book next year
Why does it smell of chicken in the indoor section of the ride?
