Kobe Bryant is on a whole new level and he has staying power, he's been prolific. Tons of people get hot - I see it all the time. They're hot for a year or two then they are just gone, they can't hack it over time. Consistency and patience trump fire because burnout will take you out of the game forever if you let it. Part of success is making sure you stay engaged over the long term, in addition to the daily motivation and work required to achieve something. Also, I've noticed, the real benefits can take years to mature and bear fruit.

Edward Adam Then how could you put more stock into T-Mac's one game over all Kobe's game winners and comeback? His 81 point game where he lead his team back from a 20+ deficit? Even his final game brining his team back and scoring 60? Not to mention Kobe being one of the greatest defenders ever. T-Mac never even made the all NBA-Defensive team once... please don't put him in the same breath as Kobe. T-Mac was superstar great. Kobe is on a legendary level that only MJ, Bird, Magic & Kareem are in.

Edward Adam That's true. That was all thanks to MJ, Hakeem, Shaq & Kobe tho. T-Mac had has chances. That man had Yao Ming, Shane Battier, Luis Scola, Rafer Alston, Arron Brooks & Ron Artest all in their prime. That squad would be in the Finals today. He just didn't have the skillsets that Kobe had to take his team over the top. Kobe taking the Lakers to the playoffs in the tough Western Conference with Smush Parker, Chris Mihms & Kwame Brown was a bigger accomplishment than T Mac ever made. T-Mac never had a squad that piss poor. That was a 1 vs 5 situation damn near every night that Kobe had to play through....
