No that email is based on a successful migration. It is really there just to notify the user that they have been migrated. There is a preference for sending emails/notifications/etc around the whole migration structure. Have a look at my other website - cloudocm.com - As I do have facilities there around Organization Change Management and the best practice on communications.
Ah, you are talking about the Deployment Pro. My apologies, I was talking about the email notifications regarding mailbox migration status. Sorry about that. Yes the deployment pro will send the email to their source address prior to the migration as it contains the installation details for the agent. :-)
Yes it will. When logging in for the first time into outlook after running the tool it will need login information but essentially it will be fine in that scenario.
@@thecloudgeezer thank you so if the AD accounts sync via Entra ID, when prompted to enter credentials in deployment pro it will be the existing user AD password?.
Is there a way to disable DP from asking users to create a new password? I have a policy for them to change their O365 pw at first login and enroll into MFA
Hi, this is very good stuff. So the email they receive, will be BEFORE the migration right? At old tennant?

Will this work if your doing an office 365 mailbox to 365 mailbox migration when the mailbox has been setup on the destination tenant.
Yes it will use the UPN credentials inside Entra ID which will contain that synced password.
What if I'm using Azure ad connect to sync my passwords? will the endpoint app still ask for a new password?
No, it will ask for the current password that is set on the account. As they sync from onprem, the two are in sync, so you can use the current one.

I don’t think there is. It is something that has always been in DP. Sorry about that.
