Disposable Protective Nebulization Chamber

Nebulization plays a major and life savings role in managing patients with lung
diseases like bronchial asthma. This procedure is an aerosol generating procedure.
This can contribute to spread of viral diseases like COVID 19. Safe guidelines in
managing COVID 19 advice, not to nebulize patients, in fear of spreading the disease.
But this puts patients at high risk of aggravating the acute severe lung condition.
Using this new device, patients can be nebulized safely and also the equipment can be
disposed safely without contaminating the surroundings.
Main component of the device is a disposable transparent bag, that is mounted to a
pre-formed frame and only the patient’s face is exposed in to the nebulizing chamber.
Nebulizer device is inserted through a small opening, and later can be disposed or
kept in a separate bag without contaminating for further use for the same patient. The
main chamber is fitted with a viral filter connected to a vacuum suction device and
suctioned air can be sent through a viricidal solution. There is also a small vent with a
unidirectional flow to inside from outside air to prevent negative pressure developing
inside the chamber.
