Helion cannot be used in tropical and coastal areas such as Indonesia, Australia, Saudi Arabia and other countries with hot weather. Iflight Helion has the weakness of "Overheating Very Quickly" at the core temperature in the FC/Air Unit so that it very easily reaches temperatures above 70 degrees Celsius when hovering, even when flying slowly cruissing. The Helion cover causes very minimal cooling air circulation. I canceled buying it, over price
Iflight went full monty! Does it come equipped with RID since its a 10 inch? March 16th 2024 is just around the corner. Bottom mounted batteries are the way to go if they do fall out of the sky you don't need turtle mode.
@NOT-ANOTHER-FPV The bright side of RID is if you lose your drone, you can find it easier. But long-range drones are why RID is being pushed when the public freaks out and doesn't know what the drones' agenda is really doing. But I do understand why not to comply.
I have some questions for anyone who’s interested about what remote and goggle combo I need to use for the new Helion I just ordered. Here’s what I have: - DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI Remote Control 2 (Came with the DJI FPV Fly More Combo) - DJI Goggles 3 and DJI Remote Control 3 (Avata 2 Fly More Combo) I purchased the Helion 10 with the additional ELRS 2.4 receiver and a Commando 8 Remote Control. I know I can use the DJI Goggles and Remote with the Helion 10 as it has the DJI O3 HD Air unit preinstalled. However, if I use the Commando ELRS remote with the ELRS 2.4 receiver, which goggles are compatible? Can I use the DJI FPV Goggles V2? Or do I need the DJI Goggles 2? Or the DJI Goggles Integra? If I decide I’d rather fly the Helion 10 with the DJI Goggles and Remote, do I need to disconnect the ELRS 2.4 receiver or can I just link the DJI Goggles and Remote to the DJI O3 Air Unit? Thanks in advance for the help! I’ve been struggling with finding the answers!
exactly. I was disppointed with the flight time for chimera7 pro v2. The amp draw with 8000mah 6s liion with 7040 prop cruising at 40 -50km/h was like 14 15a draw.
just ordered one omg. I was going to transform my chimera 7 pro v2 with 9 inch frame but I needed to to a lot of work for it. This is perfect 900kv is good but underbelly battery...
There will be a print or even a carbon plate with slots for the straps either produced by Iflight or the community. Under belly batteries make sense for more capacity, range and aerodynamics but mostly battery capacity in my opinion
@@freespirit2129 yes. I can fit one on top of my AOS 7 UL although I won't be doing too much acro with it 😁. Long range or long duration crusing is fine

@@freespirit2129 ideally yes. I suppose it can be modified and you could have three antennas sticking out of the spine. An SMA/RPSMA mount to fit a Bardpole or similar. I haven't seen it with the cover off fully to see if it could be fitted easily

@@mlentsch well 3s the current draw is to much for 10 inch unfortunately otherwise it would be a great option. the reason you increase voltage is to reduce amp draw. there is a big misconception within FPV and lack of understanding about voltage. people think increasing voltage makes drones more powerful. it does not as when you increase you also decrease KV in order to protect the motor from burning out. if you swapped Helion to 8s you would have to carry a wider and more cumbersome battery or alternatively two 4s batteries. you would not gain any flight time, all you gain is a reduced amp draw which is not a problem when doing long range as your aim is to draw as little amps as possible and as consistent a draw as possible. The only reason to increase voltage is when you go larger prop sizes to reduce the amp draw in order to protect connectors and ESC's. But for longer flight times smaller voltage packs can often be advantageous, especially when dealing with Li-ion. a great example of this is DJI look at there Avata its a 4s drone.
@@mlentsch for ripping i agree 8s is better for less battery sag, but the Helion was not designed for ripping rather long crusing. we have a 5inch coming out soon which is designed for ripping!
and get a 200ft cable with a 190ft string (10ft slack) then a 2 n 1 connector for each goggles antenna adapter and put the 200ft cable on them , then 2 antennas on each one and those 2 antennas taped to each side of a helium balloon then send balloons up at 190 string feet of lot better penetration . now u can fly 2 miles away at ground level lmao cause u just reversed the free air penetration.
to bad it sucks when u feel u have gps turned on correctly being it works on the switch , but still u then lose radio signal and it drops and then u dont care to go look for it in other peoples property. evoque 5 hd 600$ down the drain. i atleast got a good 100 flights out of it atleast.
