I appreciate that you share your ways of making coffee with us.
I have been a coffee drinker for a long time but only got into brewing last year. Before that I just used a simple filter machine.
The methods that I use are V60, moka pot and an Aeropress. I really enjoy testing out different stuff and different coffee beans, getting very different results with each method.
I still grind my coffee by hand and it can get really tiring. So the next upgrade I'm making will definitely be an electrical grinder.
What I also do a lot and have never met anyone that does this, is that I reuse my coffee powder. I put it in my Aeropress with boiling water and let it infuse many hours, similar to a cold brew. What I then get is what I like to describe as coffee-tea. It has a softer and sweeter taste and I usually use to mix with other drinks like in a hot chocolate or use it for cooking and baking.
I find it really cool that you roast your own beans and know that it's something that I would definitely enjoy doing too. It gives so many more possibilities to adjust the coffee to ones preference. I'm still learning how to properly extract those flavors from my coffee so it not something I'd be trying in the near future.
I've had my eyes on a nitro coffee maker for some time now and trying to get it for a good price. Have you tried nitro coffee and how did you like it?

I use a Breville Cafe Roma for my morning espresso, and my husband loves his French press coffee. I rarely drink drip coffee nowadays, only if I have no other option. Most of the times, I add a bit of milk in my espresso, so it becomes macchiato:-). When it comes to taste, my husband and children prefer darker roasts, and I am more of a medium roast person. I find the dark roasts too bitter/acidic. Thank you for a very informative video. I am going to buy a proper coffee grinder!

Most people I know here in Europe quit drinking filter coffee in the early 80s, I think you call it drip coffee in the states. Also the French press method went out of style back then as well. Everybody switched over to espresso as the caffeine goes much slower into your body, up to six hours I think. With drip coffee you get the caffeine hit Immediately, and Americans generally drink more watery coffee because they like to drink it all day. I normally drink four double shots of espresso per day, the first one at 5:30 in the morning last one at 4pm. Then I can get to sleep no problem at 9 o’clock in the evening.
