Talking about weird pausing - when you pause The Sims 3, Sims often proceed to turn their heads slowly for a couple of seconds until they stand still. It's creepy. What's that all about?
I’ve seen in sims 4 when you go into build mode, the sims and fountains sometimes move for a few seconds after you go in. I think it’s because I use the Xbox version which is usually super broken anyway
doesn't really happen in the sims 3 if you just play the base game i figured it's the simulation engine lagging behind abit from having all the dlc's installed, or lots of mods. the sims 4 starts to have similar issues with all the dlc's installed, but also you see lag sometimes during gameplay and pausing and unpausing fixes it.
So cool! I love the process of understanding how certain mechanics work like this. in reference to blues having no effect on quarter frames: in one of the older 10 Shines (No Shines) routes it is used. to do sirena whenever with a barrel you can pause and attempt to save to get on the correct qf for the trick to work, but if you grab a blue coin before you pause then you do not need to attempt to save. weird game.
huh that's strange. I only did one test of grabbing a blue and throwing fruit and noticed no difference, but I guess having a memory card in makes a difference?
@@AverageTreyVG maybe that's the reason that hovering after a no memory card save box doesn't work because it may affect when you input the R button in a frame

Another part of the collision system ported from SM64 is how floor collision initializes the playable level space and anything not directly above floor collision seems to be obstructed by an invisible wall even though it isn't.
