thank you for you detailed explanations. This add great value. In a world where hiperactivity is our illness, a pause to reason is always welcome. (sorry by my poor english)
Please use the correct terminology. The correct term is "perpetual" check, not eternal check. If player A checks, and player B wishes to block the check with the moving of a piece, the correct term is "interpose", NOT cover. Why presume to create a chess video without mastering these simple concepts?? Arrrgh. Annoyingus maximus...
@@ColinWrubleski-eq5sh If I created videos in my own language I would surely get everything right but advanced terminology is not easy for me in English, sorry about that.
@Chess-strategy: Oh, I see. Hmm, I guess I should have considered that, since i have taught English overseas before.^^ Well, it seems i was intemperate, so apologies for that, but now at least someone has suggested better expressions to use... (^-_-^)
That was fun and not too difficult, but did I solve it correctly? It may be modesty or pride that prevents me from telling, so I will let the reader decide.
At 2:30, what happens if you move your queen down to c1? It's protecting the pawn so black's king can't take it, and is also now protecting your king. Black's queen can still put you in check, but with the queen to hide behind, it doesn't become eternal check.
You would get a draw instead of a win. I think you meant Qc2, not c1, but either way black would gladly trade queens if you block a check with your queen. After the queen trade, the black king captures both of your pawns, but won't be able to win with an a file pawn. If you don't block the check, black has eternal check options.

Your idea is so good it would be a pity for it not to be expressed in any way it could.
Got this one quickly! This channel has taught me about the magic of zugzwang. :-)
Excellent as always, thank you very much and God bless you
Always very good puzzles!
Brilliant!🙂

If someone like me Solved it within a minute you prolly solved it in seconds so i believe you
1, b7 kxb7 2. a6+ Kb8 3. Qe8+ Qc8 4. Qc6
1) b7 ch --- Kxb7; 2) a6 ch -- Kb8; 3) Qe8 ch -- Qc8; 4) Qb5ch -- Ka8; 5) Qc6 ch -- Kb8; 6) Kc8 wins
Thanks. Illustrates soupsung well.
nice. saw the first few moves... yay!
This one was easy to solve. Every move was obvious. The king move was needed for zugzvang. It's okay because we need varying degrees of difficulty.
Wasn't that hard! First move came quickly, it got a bit hairy in the end, but all in all rather easy! Enjoyed it! 😊❤
Actually, I saw the win in one second. Even for those who did not see the zugzwang at first, they would know to move the king as the final move.
Almost 10k bros
Tomorrow we'll pass it I think!
