I looooooove the tutorial. Most of videos starts telling bla bla bla. My grandma made cookies and my neighbor bla blah blah. This one: straight to the point, and well explained thanks a lot!!!!!! Im not sure if you have any other video explaining how to process this vst. And how to add compressor properly.
I got myself an Akai MPK mini mk3 to use with Cakewalk, and honestly nothing works - on the verge of throwing it out the window. I just got your plug-in, and it is amazing, the download specifications and clarity are on point. I got the wrong one at first, but redownloaded the new one. (32-bit v. 64-bit). Brilliant. I am trying to setup an Akai MidiMix and not having much luck. Covering issues such as when to import ACT data and how to use it for a controller would be very useful.

Awesome content! thank you. the question i have , is it able to use my own drums sounds like ones from purchased drum kits? id like to use the grooves but with my own sounds.
MT PowerDrumKit itself can't do that but you can output the grooves as MIDI data, as shown in this video, and then send that to another virtual instrument -- either another drumkit or a sampler with your individual drum sounds. You most likely just need to adjust the note/sample mappings, so that for example your own kick drum is a B2 note if PowerDrumKit's MIDI uses B2 for its kick drum, etc.
hi vacthe, can i turn a drum loop into each separate tracks for quing using impact xt like you did in this video? or is there a way around for it? thanks
I'm totally lost at 7:35 and can't figure out how to add the midi track. My layout looks different than yours and I have 2 + signs under "View" and nothing under track. I tried clicking on them and can't see any option to add a midi track. I have a single plus sign and a double one which is for adding a duplicate track. I click on the single one and I get the thing to pop up that says Add Track with Audio and Instrument on top. But what I can't figure out is how did you get to that drop down menu with "Views" on top where you clicked on Insert Midi Track. The video jumps from the popup to that menu and I can't see how you got to it. I guess this crap is just to complicated for me. I've been trying to figure out basic stuff on a few DAW's like this one and I just don't get it. I have an engineering degree in electronics and also do some computer programming but using these DAW things just does not make any sense to me.
I'm using ezdrummer 2 in cakewalk. For whatever reason when I multi track ezd, it doesn't let me solo each individual drum. I can hear the midi track, but then if I want to solo the snare let's say, I get no sound out of the snare channel. I can only get sound from the midi track itself. All the outputs are set correctly and the levels are showing for each individual drum in the cakewalk mixer. I'm confused
@@RecordingStudio9 found another (easier) work around for this. Rather than soloing the midi track also, press shift and click solo and that will enable "solo safe" mode and allows you to listen to each individual midi drum WITHOUT soloing the midi track also. Much easier to listen to the music and just the snare (or any other drum) than the other way
