Note: Satan was not an Angel , he was a Jinn, a righteous Jinn before he became jealous of our father prophet Adam(pbuh) and became arrogant and disobeyed God.
To add to that, Jinns have free will just like Humans, but Angels do not! So it would be impossible for an Angel to disobey and why Iblees was able to do so.

Yes the saten was a jin , because it mentioned in quran that he has been created from fire (the jin from fire). Jin and humans have the free well , the angels doesn’t have the free well. The jin have been on eath before us and Iblees(the satin) was with them , some how he ends up living with the angels as an angele but he has the free well (there are some stories of the jins when they live on earth before us but we can’t believe in it because it doesn’t mentioned in quran) but the thing that hooked me in the story that the jin did so bad generally then angels come to earth fight them.. and they took eblees (the satin) with them to heaven. The saying says they took him under one of two reasons he was the only good jin from them. Or he was a child. But from an islamic point of view it doesn’t mean anything to analyze that whats important that he was in heaven with the angels and he has the free well because he is a jin. (it answers the ignorant people who said how iblees refuse his lord command)

If you reject the truth then you only have yourself to blame. The 8th rule you mentioned (everything that happens is good) reminded me of a Hadith. The Prophet ﷺ said: Wondrous is the affair of the believer, as there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone but the believer. If he experiences ease, he thanks Allah and thus there is good for him. If he experiences hardship, he remains patient, and thus there is good for him.
I was about to write the same thing as the comment below me. He was a jinn. Jinn roamed the earth and caused destruction and death long before we got here. That's why the angels were shocked that Allah was making another being with free will. All jinn have free will, just like we do. That was the only way iblis could refuse to bow. An angel can not refuse to bow. An angel has no free will. I'm hoping Allah leads these two to the right path inshA’llah. 🙏
I wanted to comment that also. Thank you for commenting this. I just want to add a little thing about Jinns, it's that the Jinns are intellectually a lot bellow than humans. That is the reason human are superior than them. Human has the immense gift of intelligence, knowledge and imagination with that we can reason our choices what the Jinns don't have. They can not deal with new knowledge, they can not create new knowledge, they just process whatever is given to them. Either they rebel or follow they have no middle ground.

I really appreciate that you watched it all. I have watched it multiple times because it is so interesting and the points he raised are so genuine and his explanation is just awesome. As a revert to Islam from Christianity, I can tell you that in Islam God's existence is both rational and evidence based and God (Allah) does not mind if any of His creations asking a question because God created us humans as an intellectual creature who learns and questioning is the basic part of learning, in fact you heard the discussion between Allah and the angels and Allah did not mind their genuine question rather He answered it in a way that satisfied their curiosity. If you read Quran, you will find other instances where even great Prophet Ebrahim (Peace be upon him) asked Allah questions despite he had one of the strongest faiths. Furthermore, God in Islam is uniquely one, no children, no parents, no associates & partners and in fact nothing is like Him. Since God is the objective reality, so it does not rely on any subjective stuff like personal personal experiences which can neither be tested, falsified or even reproduced.
