I don't know why people compare singers when they cover a song?I love both versions and I wouldn't like it if Aaron tried to be like anyone other than himself.He didn't cover the song to compete he covered the song to play it as a tribute.
all songs are open to interpretation. this is aarons interpetation. and it's awesome. if you don't like it you don't have to listen. i think it is a great cover.
It's not easy to bend 13 gauge acoustic strings, and there is no back up music so it would make the song empty sounding. this allows it to be more full. i love clapton more than lewis, but this is really great.
