I'm not in a hurry. It doesn't feel like fh5 has been out that long, and I want them to take their time with the next one. Make it something special, not just another repeat of the same formula on a different map.

@@GamerDaSkater I've been playing since day one, and I agree about the location being boring. That's another reason I want them to take their time with it. We can play other games until then, and when it does come out, hopefully it'll be as great or better than FH3's map. Hopefully have some progression, and more to do than just drive aimlessly around the map.
Torben Ellert has confirmed that FH6 is going in a "Completely Different Direction to any Previous Forza Horizon Game" as the FH4/5 Formula "Just does not work". So it is going to change Formula, we just have to wait and See!
Ive been saying long before the xbox showcase that fh6 wasnt going to be features OR come out anytime soon, and i guess so many people just overlooked the rather obvious hints the devs gave in some of thier livestreams that fh6 was still a long ways away. Either way fh6 releasing early next year is still too early. They already confirmed that they are remodeling some cars that have severely outdated models, and that kind of work has been well documented to take a year at the very least. A 2026 release is the most likely, especially since fh5 updates are still very beefy with content.
So i think the reason why fh6 hasn't been announced yet is one we've known for a bit now that they're wanting to remodel cars and I doubt they'll add those new models to existing games. two, the piss poor reception motorsport got at launch and playground don't want to repeat that, three, they don't want to release the game around when gta 6 is meant to be coming out. Another reason is I still think horizon 5 still has a few really good updates left and they did say back in 2021 that this would be the horizon game with the most post launch support, Also just let them take their time honestly, for all we know they could be already working on it and making sure it's perfect at launch unlike motorsport which I think is why we haven't seen it yet.
They need to take their time and polish the hell out of Horizon 6, and make improvements. More things/features being optional would be great(Offline drivatars being toggle-able during freeroam for example, Regular traffic doesn't irritate me though).
Don’t forget about the cars they’re rescanning. They said it could take up to a year for just 1 car (including sourcing it). As of now they’re planning on rebuilding 9 cars. I don’t know when they will start doing that or if they already have. But they also said that those cars are intended to be added to “future games”. This heavily implies FH6. They could always add them later but still I think expecting FH6 in 1-1,5 years is not unrealistic.
I can't help wondering if Forza Motorsports poor reception has had any impact on FH6? Considering that FH5 also got a lot of flack from the start for bugs and other issues I wonder if that changed anything going forward. I can see how it could put more pressure on quality control.. which could push the release date later. I can see how it would increase the need to get FH6 to market making them release sooner. I can see them needing to work on the game engine to ensure higher quality which would also argue for a later date. In short: I have no clue 😁
I'm just hoping that the next Horizon doesn't have anywhere near the amount of bugs and glitches as FH5 on release, thats a concern with AAA games nowadays
Motorsport and Horizon are different from teams. The only crossover really is cars. Saves each other resources adding cars between titles. TBH if Horizon wasn't anywhere near Xbox it would not have the name Forza.

I agree! I wasn’t surprised that FH6 wasn’t announced at Xbox Showcase this year. I was expecting 50/100 chance it was going to be announced and 50/100 it wasn’t going to be announced. Although I was disappointed about FH6 not being announced at Xbox Live Studios Showcase this year I wasn’t surprised either. I’m also sick and tired of the comments as well on other videos like Forza Horizon 4 back in the day and Forza Horizon 5. I was thinking about leaving the Hardcore Forza Community. Not talking about the Forza Community Today (not talking about the Casual Forza Community). I’m done with many hardcore Forza Fans Complaining about FH5, calling all the racing games today the dark ages of racing games, them getting angry over FH6 not being announced at Xbox Studios this year. Look, they should realize that the updates in FH5 since update 19 has been excellent. I have really been enjoying FH5 lately. I also really love to cruise around with the Ordinary Cars (normal cars) that Playground Games added throughout FH5’s Life and Normal Drive like the Traffic Cars. On the base map I usually drive 30 MPH in Urban Areas and the small towns, I drive 55 to 60 MPH on the big Bridge in FH5, I drive 35 to 45 MPH (sometimes 50 MPH) on the Rural Roads, I drive 65 to 80 MPH on the Highway and I rarely drive but drive sometimes 20 MPH to 45 MPH on dirt roads. On the Rally Expansion on the Other Hand when I drive Ordinary Cars (Normal Cars) I would usually drive 15 MPH to 30 MPH on extremely twisty roads, the same speed 20 MPH to 45 MPH on dirt roads, and the Maximum Speed I would drive in the Rally Expansion is 45 MPH on Asphalt. I rarely go on the Hot Wheels Expansion though. But, sometimes I do go on. When I’m driving cars starting at B-Class or any powerful cars I would just go top speed on any roads.
The chances for fh6 to be relesed next year are low with the release gta 6 a game that will overshadow every other game, and i don't think the fh6 devs will risk that, i could be wrong but most likelly fh6 will not be released next year.
Another factor to consider is Fable. I know Playground has a separate studio working on it and it's scheduled to release in late 2025 and I just don't see Playground releasing both games near each other. This leaves spring 2025 or sometime in 2026 for FH6.

Apparently I have heard rumours about Forza Horizon 6 being in Germany because they have opened up a German Twitter/X page, and if we were to look back before Horizon 5 was announced they opened up a Mexican Spanish twitter page.
If there's a long wait for FH6, I'm going to be seriously disappointed if they haven't made huge strides in their game engine. Fixing pop in, adding VR, good wheel support on day one, and improving efficiency for a dense and detailed urban environment are the biggest things I want. And hopefully they don't add multiplayer stuff to the playlist unless they've finally figured out how to do a good job with multiplayer.
This game is a 2026 release they will not wanna compete with GTA 6 in 2025. It’s also supposed to be on the new forza tech engine. (BTW the new Motorsport is NOT on the new Forza engine think of it as FM7 2.0 with a bunch of cars and tracks removed
Dont think forza has anything to worry about GTA 6. Only games to compete with GTA 6 would be Watch Dogs, similar games, racing game vs open world game like GTA 6 is not gonna affect anything

FH6 will be set either in China or Japan cause FH6 has been getting more Asian vehicles more than German vehicles so with that said FH6 will be set in either China or Japan and also I don't see FH6 being released in 2026 that's way too far away so I'm expecting it to be released in 2025 but I could be completely wrong about it though but we'll have to wait and see
They should work on fixing Forza Motorsport before releasing Forza Horizon 6. They need to to a rescan most of the cars, fix the graphics, car sounds and etc.
@ethmister are they ? Personally, I think they are going backwards. After the last update, my game just crashes every time I leave an event . The "new" tracks are now every 2 months. Instead of one and the new cars being added is abysmal. 2 a month. .
It's actually the other fixes and improvements which matter. Stuff like reworking AI, Endurance Races, Reworking Nord Curbs. Pit lane updates happening on every track etc
@ethmister as I said, improvements that cause your game to continuly crash. As for the endurance races, they end this week and then get removed rather than leave them there .. the AI in the endurance races is worse than it has ever been. But if that's getting there, then congratulations to turn ten.

Apparently Xbox is showing exclusive games at Gamescon. If we are going to get a FH6 release on the anniversary of the Forza franchise on may, its likely we will see the game being announced at Gamescon. If we don't see anything at Gamescon, prob 2026 lol

Gta is going to make it very hard for open world driving games. The people that develop these games don’t have any “ drip “ or swagger… they think bodykits and emotes will patch things up. If fh6 doesn’t implement the real URBAN car communities in gaming where different genres off car culture are exploited, fh6 will indeed flop. Hardcore players will return ( myself included) but for the most part, other developers don’t really have to be told or informed on “ what’s cool” Playground can make a might good impression if they understood that s lot of people play forza to express themselves artistically. @@bgu8h7u 2026 isn't five years, the poor reception of FM along with a new game engine they're going to use plus the fact that they are working on Fable tells me it's going to be 2026 on the next gen Xbox. The next Xbox is rumored to be out in 2026 so that aligns perfectly as a launch title for the next gen hardware. What you might get is an announcement or trailer next year, but don't expect the game to release in 2025. Also, I don't get why people are rushing the developers to release it quickly when we got FM, it's better they take their time and get it right rather than rush it.

I think not seeing Forza Horizon 6 being announced is a good thing. Forza Horizon 5 is REALLY successful, so why not keep adding content and chewing up our storage... like with big AAA games these days. If you look at other games like The Sims 4 and GTA V, they have sequels already announced in the works and they still keep supporting their current titles. If there is one game that would likely be announced from Microsoft at Gamescom with an official release date, it has gotta be the game that Playground Games has been working on for a few years, and that is the reboot of the Fable franchise that is already slated for a 2025 release. Not only is it a good way to make the next Forza game wait, but also so that GTA VI doesn't get much of a competition at all, cause if you look at the gaming industry these days... their competition is not their rivals, it is the players and their WALLETS!

If people buy it then they will redo this as much as they can, less work needs to be done and money will still flow. It's not about the game itself but money, they redo the same thing each game and add only small changes to the overall game mechanics. It's been like this since FH2 and Motorsport 3.

I rarely go on the Hot Wheels Expansion though. But, sometimes I do go on. When I’m driving cars starting at B-Class or any powerful cars I would just go top speed on any roads.

The chances for fh6 to be relesed next year are low with the release gta 6 a game that will overshadow every other game, and i don't think the fh6 devs will risk that, i could be wrong but most likelly fh6 will not be released next year.
Another factor to consider is Fable. I know Playground has a separate studio working on it and it's scheduled to release in late 2025 and I just don't see Playground releasing both games near each other.
This leaves spring 2025 or sometime in 2026 for FH6.
Playground have 2 separate development teams and a release of Fable at the same time as FH 6 is not a problem at all as they are not competing games.

I hope it's not gonna be soon, I started playing FH5 last summer, I hope it's gonna be released in summer 2026 or later.
If there's a long wait for FH6, I'm going to be seriously disappointed if they haven't made huge strides in their game engine. Fixing pop in, adding VR, good wheel support on day one, and improving efficiency for a dense and detailed urban environment are the biggest things I want. And hopefully they don't add multiplayer stuff to the playlist unless they've finally figured out how to do a good job with multiplayer.

FH6 will be set either in China or Japan cause FH6 has been getting more Asian vehicles more than German vehicles so with that said FH6 will be set in either China or Japan and also I don't see FH6 being released in 2026 that's way too far away so I'm expecting it to be released in 2025 but I could be completely wrong about it though but we'll have to wait and see

They should work on fixing Forza Motorsport before releasing Forza Horizon 6. They need to to a rescan most of the cars, fix the graphics, car sounds and etc.

@ethmister are they ? Personally, I think they are going backwards. After the last update, my game just crashes every time I leave an event . The "new" tracks are now every 2 months. Instead of one and the new cars being added is abysmal. 2 a month. .
It's actually the other fixes and improvements which matter. Stuff like reworking AI, Endurance Races, Reworking Nord Curbs. Pit lane updates happening on every track etc
@ethmister as I said, improvements that cause your game to continuly crash. As for the endurance races, they end this week and then get removed rather than leave them there .. the AI in the endurance races is worse than it has ever been. But if that's getting there, then congratulations to turn ten.

The people that develop these games don’t have any “ drip “ or swagger… they think bodykits and emotes will patch things up. If fh6 doesn’t implement the real URBAN car communities in gaming where different genres off car culture are exploited, fh6 will indeed flop. Hardcore players will return ( myself included) but for the most part, other developers don’t really have to be told or informed on “ what’s cool” Playground can make a might good impression if they understood that s lot of people play forza to express themselves artistically. So instead of giving us a twerkstallion, give us the freedom to make our own creation that rivals it

@@901gt Pretty much, but, that Includes all Age Ratings if they are PEGI ones, be it Forza's 3, Motorfest's 12 or GTA's 18, all PEGI Ratings are Controlled by the British Government via the Video Standards Council under the 1984 Video Recordings Act (yup, the old "Video Nasty" Act!) so pretty much all Games sold in the UK and the EU (the PEGI Region) even GTA, are Government Controlled to some Extent!

IMO, FH6 is going to be October 2026. As much as GTA is *Poison* to Me (IMO it should be *Banned from Sale* here in the UK!) I am still more than aware that Launching a Car themed Game in 2025, the Year of GTA6, at *any* point of the Year, is going to be Marketing Suicide.
Given PGG has also Recently Stated that FH6 is still a "Long way Off" , I do not expect to see it until 2026, Especially as Microsoft has also confirmed that all of its First Party Titles are now on a Four to Six Year Development Cycle, which Points strongly to 2026 IMO. Five Years would fit in Perfectly with Microsoft's Official Statement of 4-6 Years of Development now being Corporate Policy for all First Party Titles as of 2022 Onwards.
Also, if he is a Smart as I think he is, Torben, when he took over last year, would have Probably Ordered a Mid Development Reboot on FH6 to rid it of Mike Brown's absolute Mismanagement of the Series and Start again from a Clean Slate (and Torben has Officially Stated that the FH4/5 Direction "just has not worked" and that FH6 is going to go in a "completely Different direction to any Previous Horizon Game" (Note: Microsoft has *Mandated* a PEGI 3 Rating for all Forza Games made after 2019, so do not expect FH6 to suddenly turn into NFS! a 3 Rated Version of Motorfest is Possible, and, IMO, Very Desirable Indeed, However!), which smacks of both a Mid Development Reboot and a Franchise Reboot! so FH6 may not even be FH6, it may just be "Forza Horizon" ) , which, if that has happened, and I hope it has, would delay the Development of the Game by a Year, so FH6 could even be Penciled for 2027 for all I know.

Again, the Delisting and the End of Live Service Support is nothing to do with FH6 and purely because some of the Car Companies in FH4 are Refusing to Renew their Licenses with PGG/Microsoft. Same with FH3, nothing to do with FH4, purely due to Licenses not being Renewed!
I think FH6 will be a complete *No Show* at Gamescom, Summer Showcase is the *Big* One for Microsoft, Gamescon is nowhere near as Important to Microsoft as Summer Showcase is, and given FH6 was a No Show at Summer Showcase, which is *Literally* Microsofts in House Replacement for the much missed *E3* (and *E3* was the *Big* one back in her day!), I just don't see it appearing at the less Important Gamescom, especially as Horizon is *the* Gamepass Pusher for Microsoft, and it is all about Gamepass for them at the Moment!

Sadly, I am dreading that FH6 is going to be Set in China (due to all the Chinese Cars in 5), which means, as I am *Zero Tolerance* on Communism, I am going to skip the Game, I will also Skip it if it is anywhere Else in Asia, such as South Korea (a lot of Cars from that country have also been added to FH5 lately) because, as a Reformed Anglican who Puts his Faith above *everything* Else, I am also *Zero Tolerance* on Idolatry, which is Rampant in the Rest of Asia :( I would love to see Germany, but I just don't think it can happen. @@bgu8h7u 2026 isn't five years, the poor reception of FM along with a new game engine they're going to use plus the fact that they are working on Fable tells me it's going to be 2026 on the next gen Xbox. The next Xbox is rumored to be out in 2026 so that aligns perfectly as a launch title for the next gen hardware. What you might get is an announcement or trailer next year, but don't expect the game to release in 2025. Also, I don't get why people are rushing the developers to release it quickly when we got FM, it's better they take their time and get it right rather than rush it.

I think not seeing Forza Horizon 6 being announced is a good thing. Forza Horizon 5 is REALLY successful, so why not keep adding content and chewing up our storage... like with big AAA games these days. If you look at other games like The Sims 4 and GTA V, they have sequels already announced in the works and they still keep supporting their current titles. If there is one game that would likely be announced from Microsoft at Gamescom with an official release date, it has gotta be the game that Playground Games has been working on for a few years, and that is the reboot of the Fable franchise that is already slated for a 2025 release. Not only is it a good way to make the next Forza game wait, but also so that GTA VI doesn't get much of a competition at all, cause if you look at the gaming industry these days... their competition is not their rivals, it is the players and their WALLETS!

If people buy it then they will redo this as much as they can, less work needs to be done and money will still flow. It's not about the game itself but money, they redo the same thing each game and add only small changes to the overall game mechanics. It's been like this since FH2 and Motorsport 3.
