Tahitians are very well versed with the way they dance, they have different styles of dance techniques and their costumes are to die for,and to make it to the top Ori Tahiti is famous around the world, they don't need hip-band to shake better, they were born to shake.

@@kiribetio123 Kukis always thinks it's a competition due to inferior complexes, as Ori Tahiti is more famous than Ura. Kukis always argue they started everything, when nobody cares, especially not Tahitians, who are busy promoting, and evolving their culture!

@@kilipaki87oritahiti I'm both kuki and tahitian and I totally agree with you, however it makes me sad that due to so many foreigners in tahiti, the ura is evolving to please the eyes of the papa'a. Most tahitian dancers now can't even dance the traditional way as they are usually non-tahitian and are all trying to add unnecessary components such as belly dancing and emphasising more buttt movement than the hips which is not hura. I'm actually glad cook island dancing is not exposed to the world because we have managed to retain more of our traditional ura components. It just makes me sad more kukis are now trying to follow the tahitian evolved ura because then we will lose our traditions and the uniqueness of our ura.

@@kilipaki87oritahiti a few Cook Islanders online aren’t all Cook Islanders. So I’ll disagree. Not all Kukis think this is a competition because of an inferior complex.
If no one cares to argue then why feed into the bs. Can’t we all just get all & enjoy the dances
