The confidence sachin carries for this profession is something different I have ever seen in someone, gave me lot of courage to tell people that I am a tester.
Just completed my manual testing course.. couldn't crack any interview.. still working on my skills for manual testing should I stick to manual testing or take more time and should learn automation....
Right now i am also giving interviews having 5 years experience in Testing and this video work as booster for me to motivate urself...khud ki asaliyat ko janna...it was fantastic...
Omg, What a podcast, i have never heard this type of Tester. Testing is in his blood. And he proved that he is from Ayodhya. Shlok and all. Thanks for this podcast. ❤❤
Keep aside the dev or testers. But i feel he is the most knowledgeable person I have ever seen on any of the podcast. He is good in delivering what he has learned
Exactly,I got shortlisted for so many organizations but all they are asking DSA questions in beginning of the assessment which is the very first round of interview process...hiring mangers should change the process
This video popped out in my suggestions. Good insight. I think AI would never replace testers, I see many creators are creating FOMO, to use AI everywhere even it’s not needed.
Good Podcast nowadays reality is different .I recently gave interview for one of the MNC in Pune for manual +automation profile , they asked 90 % questions on java , including questions like internal working of hashmap & only two question on Selenium . They are expecting developers but at the pacakge of tester.
Loved the Podcast. I have been a tester for 4 years now and I have always found this field to be an amazing field to build a career in. Please keep sharing podcasts like these.
Wow, what a well focused and clear thinking person! My career path also followed like him. I am in my first IT job in testing but I was very clear I wanted to get into testing. I am in this job after 15 year gap. Still I got the job because of my passion.
Thank you so much. I worked very hard to get that first job as I have no experience in IT and with 15 year gap. But I started first to do freelance bug finding online on projects, to see if I have talent. Then when I saw I liked it, I took a fantastic course in automation with full Selenium, Java, CI CD, docker etc. Then I realized I needed testing experience. So I did free internship on manual testing from internshala. Meanwhile all my free time , I was always learning new tools from Udemy, I learnt postman, restful api testing, cypress. Started to spend everyday 30 mins just doing Java exercises. Did mini.projects on automation. But mainly I learnt testing concepts in my internship. Then I constantly applied and attended interviews knowing I will fail but took it to learn. Finally I got interview where I was so confident I was offered job immediately. Knowledge is power. Now I have been in this job for 2 years, manual testing was main but I have now started contributing to their automation framework. But my passion is always manual testing. I enjoy testing a lot. I also passed istqb foundation in this time.
One of the best testing podcast I ever seen. Best part was he was giving very good examples with great explanations about QA wonderful podcast lot of things got to learn from him big thanks to #Ajay suneja to brought such an amazing gossips.
15 years in industry, worked with orgs like Microsoft, Amazon, Google hell even flight software that needs zero bug...I always wondered why why do the great minds that I worked and learn from never go and share their knowledge on a podcast...after listening to him and reading through the comments I realised there are enough fool to beleive you and all you need to do is just tell them what they want to hear. Though I agree in principle that software testing is taken very lightly in most if the IT industry but its one if the most important aspect and finding a good task is a difficult job.
Now i am learning automation and manual testing also , Thanks to create a short movie in our mind that tester job is not a too much hard we have to grinde our skills and focus on our goal Thank you so much ajay sir to give that much clarity about real time scenario ☺️☺️
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful podcast. It's really inspirational for everyone who is working as a QA or SDET Or who is thinking about starting a career as a tester
I agree that Tester cannot be replaced by AI. But when no. Of years experience increases and we get layed off the opportunities decrease as the place we left with 10yr experience will be filled by 6yrs exp person and that position will be filled by 3yrs exp and that with a fresher. Can you tell how to move ahead after 12yrs exp as tester?
Awesome and very inspiring...podcast for Testers sachin is really amazing. best part about him, delivering Shero shayari and that संस्कृत श्लोक with simple examples. 🎉❤nice
Dear Testers, who ever watching this vlog, let me tell you, you will be taken to the world "The Test Chat". Amazing video. May I get a chance to work with you buddy in life time. May you both be blessed with 1000's of utmost useful vlogs like this. I have no words to describe about the importance of this video & kind of knowledge that Sachin had shared.
It was a superb podcast. Testing is a art nobody is understanding that. I agree on the point that we are getting 2nd seat always .Actually we should get the respect as same as developer. And there is discrimination on offering package as well. It's high time to change that ..😊
I really like the way he shares his thoughts and the way he make this podcast so exciting . But at the year of 2024, testing is not based on only UI Automation(Selenium/Cypress/playwright, Java/Javascript, Framework design, Jenkins), it's way beyond that and which includes Backend testing, Non-functional testing, Contract testing, chaos testing and many more. As a fresher getting introduce to testing mindset and UI automation may work, but if anyone really serious about Quality Engineering, there are far more very important topics which should be there in the SDET roadmap.
Appreciate the comment. I do agree that there has to be detailed information shared about the roadmap, also I am in agreement with your thoughts when you say only UI automation is not significant. Btw, tools like Cypress, Playwright or even Selenium for that matter does more than UI testing they have strong utilisation in API testing as well. Having said that, the question of roadmap was towards different segments of people and I kind of focused to answered it that way, but I should definitely have covered segments of type/category of testing/tools that should be considered while answering such open ended points. I will keep this in mind. Point noted, thanks for this feedback !
