I also think it was kept in the back pocket for Petelgeuse to have his "HOW CAN YOU SEE THE HANDS?" moment But even if I concede the Unseen Hands point, he was still never affected by Gluttony's authority, and I wouldn't argue that he was building an immunity to Wrath, but rather that's just a natural weakness to an Authority like hers. The character development and world building of this arc is crazy. All of the arcs in re:zero are very important and the flesh out the story in very interesting ways. I love re:zero it’s such an interesting and unique wn/anime. Arc 5 is a great arc and I can’t wait till you get up to arc 6 cause that’s a wild ride. Also considering how great these vids are you should be getting way more subs and views

I just only yesterday caught up and finished arc 5 on WCT, and I remember that during this phase, people were actually braindead and complained about Subaru not dying to reset. Like you said, if you watched the anime and actually paid attention instead of jerking off to the witches, or even bothered understanding the story you are reading right now (because Subaru literally mentions it in his POV) that he does not want to rely on RBD and refuses to rely on it. It also helps because during this arc, Subaru started growing and accepting that the people he likes, also like him back, and he does not want to risk the chance of them losing him in case that world still continues due to what he saw in the witch trial during arc 4.
Re-watching this as S3 is airing, and something occurred to me (*note: I've only read up to the end of Arc 5): When it comes to Subaru possibly building up resistance to each Authority, I suppose he could've been affected by Gluttony at some point in the past and we'd have no way of knowing! Granted, this necessitates that Subaru must have spent some amount of time in the isekai world (which... doesn't have a name as far as I know? Curiouser and curiouser...) that both Subaru and we aren't yet privy to, but I don't think that's much of a stretch

Bro I have been waiting haha The Subaru speech was by far my most favorite chapter out of all of it. It gave me goosebumps. I was listening to Studio Reverie about it but yeah. I read Chapter 51 until Arc 7 Chapter 38 on WitchCult translation and man it was truly a pain reading those comments. I mean why are you even reading the series if you don't get the idea. I swear even until Arc 7, dumb comments pollute the comment chapters so if you want, to save you from stress don't read it. Many ( not all ) comments are just dumb and doesn't make sense. Anyway, hoping to watch you react until the latest chapters
I dont remember many comments being stupid, they are basic.
@@dvanepope5602 Yeah I get that there are a lot of comments about thanking the translation and some comments are about fun theories. But half of those comments in the tab are people either not getting Subaru's development, missing lore pieces important for their take, or just some other nonsensical thing like " I would have sacrificed everyone for Shaula " or Rem or this one comment on the chapter where [ Spoiler for Arc 5 later phases ] Regulus died & he was like " My Regulus is the best and he will come back and beat them all up " near that line [ END OF SPOILER ] It's a bunch of I don't know what to call them, Twitter fans? Just as if they haven't read the story especially in around Arc 7 where some comments want Subaru to die because of what he did to Rem. You know the rejection so Subaru deserves it like, bro, your halfway through the story, you still don't understand why he rejected Rem & all like it's MOSTLY a bunch of these or thank you. Some comments are great like theories or added information ( not a lot of them but like stuffs about Side Stories ) but because Asahara has his discord, he doesn't really have to skim the WitchCult translation's comment section because it's not much of theorizing & fun information. Most of them are appreciation or just a bunch of " I forgot an important piece for my argument that if I bring that piece my argument becomes nonsensical " or just weird comments like the Regulus chpater. But that's my opinion, thanks

The sins & virtue, the family drama from Astrea family to the Royal family, the witches, the if routes, side stories, character interactions, the Arc 6 & 7 world building stuffs
