I know the guy was close but if possible I would have tried to take it down to the Reaper's Lair. It would have protected you from most people and you could have probably gotten some sweet screenshots and just sold it to someone down there

I sat my ass at sea dog tavern for an hour waiting for this to drop, this was the only opportunity to get one guaranteed and I wasn’t going to miss out! Got it uncontested.😅
I was so happy when me and the boys dug one up. The turn in price for it at Grade 5 on Community Day was like 160K. Have to look at screenshot again anyways I had however found one naturally a year ago in the roar while me and a random was chasing a reaper sloop running with the fotd key. Went to an island to get supps and ran into it. Safe to say we stopped chasing lol. So it definitely was more exciting then but the friends with me this time around on community day this was their first so it was pretty special. Hope to see this pop up style system to become permanent. Maybe a weekly event. Had a blast.

it's crazy that you've been playing since the beta and never got that chest. I got 4 in 2 months of playing.. all in Devil's roar while farming ashen vaults
I got 3 in 1 day once no joke. Me and my friend did shores of gold 5 times and 3/5 we got the chest, while travelling to the shores of gold, I shot myself out the cannon on each island, and luckily got one. (was also my first one after many years)

Help! My problem is on pc when I use my mouse, moving the canon is VERY slow. I have changed sensitivity and mouse DPI settings, but they never move like MixelPix's does. What am I missing here?

Nice job; I got my first Chest of Wonderous Secrets on a fluke; I was doing a mission in the Roar and this hacker teleported to my ship and keg sunk me, when I respawned, I was still in the Roar but where my boat was anchored on the respawn, there was a Chest of Wonderous Secrets right there on the beach by my boat. I snatched that up and was in a serious panic trying to get it to Reapers...I thought for sure the hacker was coming back....got it sold. Sadly, it is a bit anti-climactic, there isn't even an accommodation attached to that chest so....blah.
