FORESTELLA (CROSSOVER-vocal-group) is considered the kings of harmonies and simply masters every genre and style. Technically highly qualified, they are known for unexpected reinterpretations of legendary songs. They are very creative, set new accents, add a twist and their own spice to it (always respecting the original), are like to experiment and the result is always TOP. Their own original M/V's are auditory and visual masterpieces on an other level, that show what this unique group is really capable of. FORESTELLA is a musical delight that you should no longer miss.
It seems not many people know the fact that this operatic part 4:40 ~5:46 has never been performed live because when Queen recorded the song, the pitch was raised by recording engineer. If anyone watched the documentary of Queen, you would understand that Forestella singing this operetic part live is in fact incredible feat.

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die!
And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too.
Forestella released their new single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans.

They have so many covers and several originals. You have enough material for a long time with Forestella and they are simply phenomenal. Every song and cover is unique and executed with perfection ! Let me tell you something. You have just been hit by the Forestella phenomenon, the best cross over vocal group in the world. There is no turning back, no recovery possible. Just enjoy them, listen to them, watch them, cheer them, promote them so that these wonderful guys keep growing more and more.

Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. This video was filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour.
I prefer their Immortal Songs video because we can see their acting in the performance there. Here it's too dark to see it well.. I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella.

You'll enjoy their cover of 'Despacito' as much as you will enjoy 'Nella fantasia' and 'Smooth criminal'. They are extremely versatile. Love them.
I am sure you will love their cover on Bad Romance (of Lady Gaga). And check their covers on Shape of you, Time in a bottle, MAMA (of EXO-K), Smooth Criminal (of MJ, don't blame their dance! Forestella is a crossover vocal quartet, not an idol group), etc.

So glad you’ve finally got to Forestella. You’ve been sleeping on them for way to long. You’re in for a hell of a ride. Nearly every cover they do it is either the best cover or better than the original and their original work is magic. There is a lot for you to listen. Maybe something a little more classical as a contrast next such as Parla Piu Piano (Godfather theme) or Nella Fantasia (The Mission/ Sarah Brightman) but to be honest you could just pull up a list of vids and everyone will wow you. Happy listening.
And please treat yourself and listen to Scarborough Fair ... it's exquisite, their arrangement and vocals both.

Insane hey!!!!! they are beyond skilled awesome singers!!! South Korea has an extraordinary amount of incredible singers......the beauty and Soul and skill of their vocal talents seems to be in their DNA!!

They are a South Korean classical crossover group known for their versatility and harmonies, and the members from left to right are Ko Woorim (classically trained bass), Kang Hyungho (rocker, countertenor), Cho Mingyu (classically trained tenor), and Bae Doohoon (baritenor, musical actor). glad you 2 finally reacting to Forestella. all I can say is to react to them more to find out how phenomenal they are instead of having me blah blah blah how great they are.
Forestella have been taking Korea by storm, they even had a brief tour in the USA this year (I saw them in Atlanta). They are simply amazing! Everything they touch turns to gold. I highly recommend “Nella Fantasia” (where you will hear Hyungho’s beautiful soprano), “Parla Piu Piano”, “Je suis malade”, and “Time in a bottle” (new take on old classic). There is a very very long list of gorgeous songs by Forestella, please react again! Put together through the Phantom Singer 2017 contest, they are composed of 2 opera singers, one musical actor/singer, and one rock singer turned soprano (I am not kidding..!). They are practice freaks and pride themselves to deliver a perfect result in any language they tackle, with also perfect pronunciation. I hope to hear you react more to this wonderful group, they deserve to be known worldwide!

It is so heartwarming to see Forestella receiving the attention they deserve in Western spheres. I remember doing exactly what Justin did at Kang Hyungho's top note - I jumped out of my seat, hand over mouth, and leant on the mantle above the fireplace place, I was so excited at stumbling across this group, their sound, on RUclips. Discovering them, and other classical South Korean artists in our winter of 2020 was the only good thing to come from the covid lockdowns in NZ.
You should check out some songs from the k drama sound of magic. It is a musical drama and some of the songs literally give me goosebumps they are that good.

Forestella i known as the kings of harmony and i think you would love watching Legends Never Die, Sound of Silence, We Are The Champions, Champions, The Unknown Legend and their own songs called White Night, Save Our Lives and Utopia. They also have Despacito, Bad Romance, Shape Of You and Smooth Criminal and they are all incredible and different. I've seen their daily lives on a Korean TV show. They are always together except for a few days a year. So I could understand their amazing harmony. + And there's a funny video that you can watch on their channel. It's a video of them switching parts, and the painful high note of the bass player, Go Woo-rim, is so funny.

Forestella is actually a classical crossover quartet group of 4. The four members formed in JTBC Phantom Singer 2017, an audition survival program for classical singers, with 2 classically trained singers, 1 musical actor, and 1 'freak of nature' singer 😁
The bass, Ko Wo Rim, is a basso profondo opera singer classically trained at the Seoul National University. Bae Doohoon, studied acting at Korea's National University of Arts and also a musical actor. Cho Mingyu, one of the tenors is leggiero tenor opera singer also classically trained at the Seoul National University. Kang Hyungho, the second person started to sing, are the only one without any formal classical music training (but with a voice so powerful like a contra tenor, so he called a freak of nature) because he was a chemical engineering researcher and was the lead singer of a garage rock band as a hobby. He studied chemical engineering at Busan University and worked as a researcher after graduation at a quite big famous company before he resigned due to the more busy schedule of Forestella after their debut.

Forestella is absolutely incredible, they remind me more of Dimash than Pentatonix, but as you hear more you will see why I say that. Je Suis Malade is incredible, if you haven’t watched Lara Fabian perform that, you definitely should first, and then watch Forestella. I heard Pentatonix first, was obsessed, then Dimash, then and now-insufficient words to describe Dimash, then I heard Forestella, in my humble opinion, I think mostly because they are a rock/opera crossover, this is why Dimash comes to mind, plus their performance style, arrangements, they definitely know how to put on a show, Bad Romance is a great example of that.❤ Thank you for sharing your astonishment with us, I can figure we will see more Forestella in the future and hopefully much more Dimash.
