Come to think of it, Karbala was the arena where every virtue known to man was manifested in its superlative degree as was every vice- be it patience, resilience, and forbearance in response to extreme cruelty; unmatched bravery, courage, and humility in return for shameless cowardice, ruthless force, and maximum arrogance; God-consciousness, submission to the will of Allah, and unfathomable gratitude in the face of ultimate savagery. This IS the legacy of Karbala. This is the reason we feel extreme love and profound sadness for our dearly beloved Imam EVERY single year- such deep emotions that we can never muster for anyone else- not even our own flesh and blood!
Let the world consider us 'a bit overboard' in our expression of love and grief. Let the world also know that it is our honor and God-granted privilege to feel and express such emotions for our Imam's supreme sacrifice.

Hur came with an army of 1000 soldiers and Imam hussain(as) give water to all of them n their horses. And what a tragedy that from 7th of muharram the same people didn't let imam hussain(as) to have water from the furat. :(

Many times in our majlis maulanas recite that Hur pbuh left with his son and asked his son to blindfold and than take him towards Imam hussain a.s out of shame

Salam. What was the age of Aun O Muhammad in the battle of Karbala??
The barbarous murder of Imaam Hussain was the catalyst for the destruction of the Kaaba and Madina. This was a seriously symbolic act to show the people that their "God" lies in Syria and that his name is Yazid....
This accursed thing was trained very well, presumably starting with the grandparents. If 'revenge' was the ultimate objective, he most certainly made his forbearers proud... and of course simultaneously booked himself a one-way ticket into the deepest pits of Hell!

Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain, peace be upon them both, are universally acknowlwdged as the 'Sayeds' of the 'youth of Paradise', by all Muslim schools of thought, based on the authentic sayings of the Holy Prophet. And everyone in Paradise is belived to be eternally in their youth.
Imagine the fate in the afterlife of anyone who hurt them in this world, and didn't get forgiven.
Hurr was one lucky man who repented and sought forgiveness from the Imam himself for his horrendous misdeeds just in time, before it was too late.
The Imam acepted his penance and allowed him to become one of the martyrs of Karbala, fighting for the Imam's cause.
Setting a precedent for anyone who wishes to recognise the truth in time and change the course of one's life on earth.
