While I'm still learning the ropes fly fishing, part of the reason I wanted to get into it was that it seemed like a good way to fish while backpacking or traveling. The gear breaks down and doesn't take up too much space. I was up in Virginia for a week and found enough time to check out a state park there and do a little bank fishing.

What's your setup? That's a 5 weight? Floating line too, or full sinking?

That was a 3wt 7’6 Reddington with an orvis 2/3 battenkill, floating line sized up. I have a 5wt as well which would’ve probably been a little better to use but I brought the 3wt hoping to find some smaller creeks to fish but ended up out here.
