#3: This Bamboo Resort Celebrates Orang Asli (Malaysia Aboriginal) Culture! [Tadom Hill]

Want to experience Orang Asli (aboriginal) culture in Malaysia for yourself? Try Tadom Hill! Our host Lai had sustainability in mind when he developed this resort, on the territories of the Temuan (one of the Orang Asli peoples). Bamboo was used to build each building, and the leftovers were made into charcoal so resort guests could enjoy barbecues ... and once the charcoal's burnt to ashes, the ash can be collected and made into fertilizer to grow plants for the garden. It's a zero-pollution, zero-waste organic cycle - very fitting for a resort that promotes Orang Asli culture and employs many members of the Temuan community.
