Need to get you guys up here in lake erie layout shoot for puddle ducks and divers my dad made his own layout boats real popular on the sandusky bay when he made them
That was awesome Titus and Thomas. I will have to look into this hunt, but i can tell you this i need 2 things first. 1 a co2 operated life vest and at least 1 whole bottle of Dramamine. Lol. Awesome great hunt
I did this kind of hunt on the 8th of November and it was not that rough. It does feel awful lonely though being out there by yourself. I could see the tending boat still out about 300-400 yards from me. :)
@@MidValleyMercenaries It was the first time I had done it, but always wanted to. It was part of a Veteran's Duck Camp that went for about 2 weeks. I liked it, but the boat was not comfortable to lay in and hard to shoot from. I think the "sit up and shoot" style needs to be practiced. :)
Mid Valley Mercenaries First time I did it I kept wanting to get up and shoot because they looked close but they were about 70 yards away, luckily I had someone experienced with me to help
Where do you live?? And where do you do the shot gun pattern videos? Just curious because I live in the Bay Area, and looking to move up north to the foothills, or even at the snow line. Just subscribed! Looks like you’re right where I want to live. I’ll be out at RVO duck hunting next week, hopefully bringing home some ducks!
We’re in Merced county. Not the greatest area. If I had a choice it’d be somewhere around Rocklin. Beautiful area. Thanks for subscribing! Good luck on your hunt
I would be sick out there going up and down in those ways looks like fun but I'm very sensitive to movement even being a helicopter pilot if I ride with somebody doing egg turns I will turn green but if I'm flying I'm good guys look like you're having fun
Sweet hunt guys!!! Shot my first Old Squaw on Lake Champlain in Vermont last year...amazing birds!!! Just curious what were you using for ammo and choke tube combo. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks man. They are amazing. We were using several different ammos, hevi Metal, Kent and super x. Modified chokes and my gun and Thomas’ don’t know about Adams
Those old squaws are tough bastards dude and when you think they are cold dead they decide to turn into submarines and they will go for hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you serious man? You’re looking awfully hard to find something wrong with us. Shouldn’t waste my time but look again. His 3rd shell didn’t feed right. Bolt was locked to the rear and shell had already come out of the magazine port. Only way to unload is to chamber it and than eject it. Maybe you just weren’t aware but good catch anyways. Fish and game watch all these I guarantee it and I welcome them to. There wasn’t one thing done wrong here ask any dfg officer
This video never gets old. Cant wait to try it myself one day.
It’s worth the trip
The best guide around here not going to lie
👍🏼👍🏼
Glade u guys went out with Austin I've know him for a couple years good guy

Definitely a pretty bird to Mount, nice job!
For sure. Thanks!
That look so cool I will have to do that sometime...
I follow a lot of guys on RUclips but none of their videos have the production quality of yours. That intro was epic! Great hunt
Appreciate that!
Awesome that the captain got to hunt too. How comfortable is the 2 man to hunt out of?
Very comfortable. Might even fall asleep
Haha nice. I have a single and it is a very soothing feeling riding the waves out on the big pond
awesome man!! Those ducks are cool looking!!
Thanks. Liking the new name John!
Thanks!
Incredible guys!
So many birds killed in conditions of madness with this slight boat ... It's just crazy ^^
Thanks to share boys!!
Thanks for watching!
Are you mounting any of them?
Ya we both had mounts done
That’s sick, hell of a shoot there!
Thanks!
That was epic!!
Thanks man!

Haha! You won’t get sick! We thought the same thing but the frequency of the waves is totally different than the ocean. Thanks!

Right on! How’d you like it? It def is a little different feeling

Ya I agree with you on that one
Sweet vid Titus! Looked like a great time! Those little layout boats freak me out.
Thanks Chase! It was a little sketch at first until you remember you’re in a lake and not the ocean haha
@@MidValleyMercenaries Yea. No sharks!
Exactly
That was Epic!!!
Thanks! It was a trip worth going on!
Epic.... Great video guys. Super cool looking birds. How do they taste?
Thanks man! I don’t know we sent all of ours to the taxidermist 😂 but Adam said they’re decent in poppers
wish I saw this last year - How did they taste? how'd you cook 'em?
Fishy you have to soak them a long time
Where about in WI did you guys hunt?
The west shore
So u all picked up ur emptys?
I river hunt mergs/divers and I've found waterswatting the wounded its better to aim a tiny bit higher
Going on one in panama city in December, Cans, Pennies, and Redheads!!
Nice! Good luck sounds like fun!
When layout hunting out on the lake you gotta let them get in, even if they look close wait longer
Ya we learned that lesson
Mid Valley Mercenaries First time I did it I kept wanting to get up and shoot because they looked close but they were about 70 yards away, luckily I had someone experienced with me to help
I layout on Michigan on other lakes regularly.. When you think you should shoot.. count to 5 before sitting up! Get em in close!
Was this a guided hunt or sum?
How was it in that boat with the waves?
It honestly wasn’t bad. It made it a little tougher to shoot. You don’t sick like the ocean cuz the frequency of waves are totally different
It looks like it would with how small the boat is and those were some nice sized rollers
What is your recipe for old squaw?
Awesome vid man!!
Thanks!
The tough shooting is because of laying on your back and the wave action. If you had the ShotKam going, you'd see how wobbly your aim was. ;-)
No doubt about that.
Epic
🤘🏼😎

loved the intro
Appreciate that
The only reason why I still buy 3 1/2 inch shells is for the sea ducks, boy they can take a beating and still keep flying!
We realized that quickly! I don’t know how those suckers are so tough
no.. just shoot 3's or 4's.. let em work close. Or should Tungsten.. 3" #4 Crushed Kings at 50-60 yards
I would be sick out there going up and down in those ways looks like fun but I'm very sensitive to movement even being a helicopter pilot if I ride with somebody doing egg turns I will turn green but if I'm flying I'm good guys look like you're having fun
Nice hunt bro
Thanks!
Hes a really good guide
We 100% agree with that

Dude what’s the name of the track in the intro!? Hell of a video🤘🏾🇺🇸
Slappy Tactical honestly I can’t remember. Thanks
A little more extreme movement trying to shoot ducks in a kayak on the River. Fun time💯
Ya totally. It was tough but a blast
Those old squaws are tough bastards dude and when you think they are cold dead they decide to turn into submarines and they will go for hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No doubt! Unbelievable!
Meant to say AG turns
more please.
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Good vid but you guys were leading them birds all wrong. Should prolly shoot some clays before your next hunt but great vid!!!
It was their first time in a layout boat. I know Titus and Thomas are good shots. Completely different ball game in the boat.
Very different
Adam Stamm I have hunted from a boat plenty of times so I understand
Ok one more and chasing them in a kayak and not a tender boat is HELL
Cory McCullough I can only imagine! That would be terrible
that is a limit as he reloads his shotgun.
Easy to unload an auto after chambering it... just saying. That might be beyond you though.
@@15Stammer i am sure fish and game would be as understanding as you are

Mid Valley Mercenaries give em a call. Regardless he could have still shot mergansers if I felt the need. So keep trying.
@@15Stammer Shooting a triple limit on squaws - they sure as fuck better be eating them - unless floating around and killing shit for fun is the game.
I am native american and im offended by your title.
Jk..
Haha. I was like 🤷🏻♂️
