    Great video. I was just on one of these machines after leaving the ICU on a ventilator. Once I was off the vent I used this machine and it was very good. The mask was very comfortable and you can really tell there is humidity. Oxygen helps as well and I wondered about the wires in the hose, i thought it was a fancy design on the hose until I realized it was actual wires. Anyway very impressed with this machine and it was a great patient experience to use it for CPAP while in the hospital after being on a ventilator. Great video!

    What does filter off mean? If its off, does it still provide pressure for cpap mode?

    What are different obstruction in breathing circuits that lead to maximum pressure and wrong alarm in sophisticated hospitals?

    I don't understand how the expiration works. The tubing has only one arm. You pointed out that small hole on the end of the tubing is for the CO2 elimination. Are you saying the whole expiration, eg. 500ml over 2sec. expiration time goes through this small hole? That can't be possible. What am I missing?

    do you have to have oxygen with it ?

    • @dannylittle1865

      Tyson McCormack yes the machine runs with o2 the o2 cable can be connected to a wall outlet or if your moving the patient say to ITU / HDU or to another location within the hospital the machine can be connected to a external o2 bottle and can run on internal battery so that the unit can be moved around still connected to the patient hope this helps 😊

    And why don’t you have a filter on that V60 ?????

      John Oryall you can clearly see the filter attached to the mask when he puts it on the end of the circuit.

      tyson mccormack it's a very odd experience it's like sticking your head out the car window doing 70mph and trying to breath in and out normally I've had a go on this exact model when doing my training to use this machine

    Is that circuit smooth walled? I was under the impression you could not use corrugated tubing with this vent? Thanks

    How do you adjust the VT 1226 when you are demonstrating? give more details that'd be more help. Thanks!

    • @princeg24
      @princeg24 5 лет назад

      The Vt is based off of your own respiratory drive.

    • @n3wpv
      @n3wpv 5 лет назад +1

      To adjust the Vt you adjust the difference between the IPAP and EPAP. Bigger range = bigger Vt, smaller range = smaller Vt.

    As with most BiPAP's I see set up here, the expiratory port has been placed inline backwards. Which only matters if you're going to attach it to an ETT or trach

    Why does "RATE" mean when you set it as 5? Isnt it respiratory rate?
