Luv this video. Maybe add a teal pillow in the sofa. Add the ottoman for your comfort. You have to enjoy your own home not just the aesthetics. Its about you, you bf and cleo's comfort and happiness. Cleo owns the main sofa so you have to squeeze in yourself in the addition lol.

I love the idea of an ottoman and use a tray when you need it as a table. I also love how yellow cushions look in a neutral palette.

Tip for keeping flower bouquets for longer that I got from my uncle who owns a flower shop. Use the following recipe to make the water for your flowers:
- 2 litres of water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp bleach
If you don't need 2 litres, you can just halve the recipe, but it makes the flowers last longer and look better!

Wow 😮 What’s the science behind that? Normally, with house cleaning, you can’t mix vinegar and bleach because of the toxic chemical fume it creates. Does the sugar neutralize that for the flowers? I mean, it’s not cleaning lol, sugar wouldn’t be a great addition to a house cleaner 😂 but 🤷♀️ yeah what is the science?
I would get a darker wooden chest for that middle space, colour match with the speaker. Make it really cosy x plus lots of storage
I would add short legs to the cabinets in your living room and your sofa to allow light to reflect off the floor, bringing in more light and making the furniture less heavy. Ikea sells some pretty affordable ones. I would also add 2 stacked storage boxes to cover the wall outlets. Always remember to style your decorative pieces in threes (ex. a vase, a storage box or a couple of books, and a candle). 😊

I still think a coffee table wouls be the most practical for the space. Or you can do an ottoman with a bigger flat tray on top so that you can still place things on top of it if you want to veg out on the floor.

Love the decoration direction you're going with. Teal is a great choice for pops of color.
An ottoman would be nice and maybe more practical. You can always get a wood tray to use as a drink holder when you need it, put it aside when you don't.

A dash of lemonade in the flowers will make them last and floral wire in tulips will stop them drooping. I know you're not tv people but I've seen amazing tvs that are framed beautiful works of art when switched off! The sofa, curtains and shelving look amazing 👏

love longer videos! The colours in the living room go really well do together :) I think making the couch L-shaped, is a good idea! If you do, a small light wooded round table would be a good addition. Especially, if the mirror is round, I think it would work well.
Please Adrienne don’t feel bad about buying stuff. This is such a normal thing to do when you move in and settle in a new place :) these purchases will make you feel at home, and this is so important for one’s wellbeing 💜 take care !

I recommend the ottoman and a small table for the left of your couch in the same wood color you have the plant stall and for the wall you have the cabinets will be a little tricky because if you want to put a painting in the future on the other wall is going to be much in the space so i recommend some book shelves with little plants, books and stuff related with your recording work like camera, roll film and that kind of stuff

Adrienne!!! I LOVE the things you chose to bring a little color into your apartment😭 Also the lamp looks great and brings a really good subtle warmth to the room!
TIP FOR TULIPS!: They love COLD water(you can add a couple ice cubes to the vase). Cut the ends of your flowers at an angle, not just straight across! And I always add a little bit of sugar to my water(sometimes lemon & bleach as well).

I definitely think a small beige textured coffee table would look great in the space and if you’re looking for something to put your feet up as well a cute puff would work really well!
Love how your home is coming along, it's starting to look so cosy and it's really aesthetic. As for candles, I always really liked buying the candles from IKEA as they're consistent in all countries I've lived in x
Hi Adrienne, Your living room is coming together beautifully.
If you're not sure about a mirror above the cabinets, why not have a look at getting a large painting to stand up and lean against the wall, preferably in portrait, which would hide the sockets and give some height to your room. Especially as you said you prefer a non cluttered look, then your vase of flowers and a candle would be your display in three. I'd then add a large floor mirror in dark wood next to your sofa and another large plant. Also, double up on the curtains for a more luxury drape, and then the knot tie backs will hang better.
And I agree with everyone,
creating an L-shaped sofa with a dark wood round coffee table is perfect, as would putting the sofa and cabinets on legs to give the illusion of more space.
I truly hope I haven't been rude in suggesting my ideas to you.

I think adding a nice picture/art above the console in the living room and then hanging a big wood or metal mirror above the couch. (This way you can bring color in, have a cute decor mirror, and also no stare into your own soul when you sit on the couch) :O

As far as the table situation I would personally go with the ottoman and maybe an end table next to the sofa that way you won't take away so much floor space and still have a spot to put stuff down.

I like your idea of the extra ottoman so you can relax in your own home with a little coffee table as well. That way you can both sit on the sofa in comfort (as it doesn’t look to be a super long sofa). Have fun planning!!

You may want to think about putting legs on the white cabinets to raise them. They would make them look more stylish. This may also solve the issue of hiding the electrical receptacle since they would be higher. A nice big mirror would look great on that wall and bring in more light. I love mirrors for this reason.

Your home is really coming together. The curtains you chose look very chic. I would hang some art prints or framed posters behind the sofa to add a bit more colour and add interest. Also a throw blanket on the sofa would make it more cosy. You could display some beautiful books and objects, sculptures and a unique lamp on the unit opposite your sofa. Even if you don't like watching TV, it is still nice to have one for movie nights and you can display artwork on it when you are not using it, so that you don't have to look at a black box. There are art screensaver channels on RUclips specifically for this purpose. I like the idea of having a seperate ottoman that you can use to rest your feet or put a tray on for drinks.
It's really coming along nicely - great job! A couple of ideas to consider (just bc you seem to welcome ideas): Perhaps buy some warm colored wooden legs to screw into the bottom of your cabinets - lift them up high enough to cover the outlets, add in color, and open up space underneath for a robot vacuum, etc. Also, imagine how incredible a wooden side table (shaped/visually like a tree stump) on the side of the couch if you get the ottoman. It would really tie all of the browns together nicely and offer a place to sit a drink, etc. I really like your choice of greens/browns as a way to add in warmth and color while still staying true to your preferred calm aesthetic. Over time, I am sure you'll find a lovely piece of art for above the sofa or cabinet and mirror on the opposite wall. :-) Enjoy your new home.

Hi Adrienne, just finished watching the vlog… in regards to the wall art I am the same way…
I suggest maybe doing a photo collage of places you have been areas you liked around Korea or the states.. you can frame them in wood or white frames… printing them in color or black and white and use command hooks so you wont have holes in the walk.
For the tulips I know they dont last long but if you want them to stand up right put a penny( if you have one😊) you are doing a good job on the decor… using a white base and adding warm tones and greenery adds that warmth to your space❤. I am loving how everything is looking! You give such a bright and calm vibe, I could watch you for hours! 🤣 Too bad that the table is no longer available ( I voted it) But getting an oak round mirror, ottoman and a cristal coffee table sounds really nice! Is al about feeling comfortable and cozy.
Having a neutral base for your apartment is so important and saves money in the long run, allows you the flexibility to add color which is so hard to do while you’re moving, no rush girl I’ve been living in my place for 6 months and still struggle with art 😂💕 I love the place so much

PSA- don’t put the candle in between shelves like that because when it burns it the heat will go up and leave a burn mark on your shelf. 😅😅😅(speaking from experience)

Hi Adrienne a ottoman would be comfortable in the living room but I would also get a coffee table too. You can place your tea there, candle or even sit down and eat there and watch TV.
Perhaps a picture on the wall and a rug.
Hi Adrienne, I love how you're decorating your place, it's coming out very nicely. For the extra cushion, maybe a peach color? To give it more colors to the couch. 🤷As for the coffee table, 2hearts 1 Seoul has a coffee table that expands into an eating area. and there's storage space, to put whatever items you need but don't want to be laying around. You can hit them up and enquire more about it. A mirror with a light wooden frame would be nice for the empty space above the cabinet. 💜
Well, for me to warm up an all white space, some of the things I would do would be to add wood. Wood coffee table, end tables, maybe a woven chair in a wood tone. Plants always help. You can warm up the space too with a rug in light colors, not the all white rug that you chose. Pillows! You don't have to choose colors that overwhelm you, there are lovely pillows that are textured in shades of off white, cream, beige, soft blues, or a pretty print. Add a tray to a coffee table to corral all your stuff and add more texture. Baskets too in wood tones to hold magazines or whatever. Even a darling wooden cabinet instead of the white ones :) As for art, how about some spontaneous pictures of you and your boyfriend to start? You could have them framed or on canvas.........a little gallery!
I love coffee tables ☕ mainly because I struggle to walk so having water close by and being able to set it down is extremely helpful.
However being able to have your legs up after a long day is fantastic 😊

With tulips you should only put like 2 inches of water in the vase. And refresh it every day. (Coning from a dutchie from tulip country, The Netherlands)
You'll keep them a lot longer and they won't start to hang
For those two cabinets where your flowers are, you can add one wooden plank/top the length of the two together to elevate the look and add more warmth to your room. Also, a peachy-colored throw pillow would pull that little pop of color around a little bit from the succulent planter on the shelving unit. You could make it very pastel so the color enhances the space, but does not take it over. But you do you, girl. Just some thoughts. 🙂

For above the cabinets you can get a pretty vintage looking wall clock. There are so many nice styles available and various colors. A small coffee table will tie everything nicely together. Just found your channel and loving it. New subscriber here.

How about a large digital picture frame to hide your outlets? You could upload pictures of places, Cleo, art, etc. Also, a smaller ottoman that matches your couch and you could place a wooden tray on top during the day to act as a coffee table. It wouldn't close off your living room but still functional. Great moving vlog series.

Another great video yay 🤩 for the coffee table thing, my friends at home have a rectangular-shaped wood coffee table that is two-tiered so they can use it both as a table and as a footrest (as they can rest their feet in the lower tier of the table), so that might be a good option 😉 I would personally choose a light wood color because a dark wood would contrast too much with the white tones of your home and stand out a lot 😌

I like the idea of a round mirror with wood that matches the speaker on the shelves...I think a coffee table is the way to go...(maybe with some wood and the same color wood as that speaker too)...the ottoman seems like it would seem a bit much for your space...like a little crowded in that corner...I also would just do your TEAL throw pillowS...maybe beige... the brown pillow seems a bit too dark...(just my opinion)... Love this apartment... it's REALLY NICE AND COZY AND BRIGHT...💜🥰💜😊

If the extra sofa piece can be used as a stand-alone ottoman, I’d get that. You could set it in the middle as a coffee table or hook it up as an L-shaped unit. Either way, a lovely blanket/quilt could be draped across it to add more color. Then, it could be changed out seasonally.

Pinterest is a great place to get ideas, if you haven’t tried it already 🙂. For that tv stand, maybe you can consider vases, books, art, greenery, etc. “wood” furniture pieces or decor could help add that warmth that you had mentioned. Wish you the best!

tuliptip: if you put the tulips in the fridge if you have enough space, our outside if it is cold enough but not too cold when you are not around to adore them they will keep a lot longer.

The living room looks so cozy now, the curtains were a great idea. For the empty wall, I'd recommend a nice framed piece of artwork. I wouldn't put a mirror there, otherwise you'd be watching yourselves while sitting on the couch.
I'd separate the 2 cupboards add a occasional chair on the end cupboard spot. Makes the living room more conversational. And the other cupboard on the wall beside the sofa ❤

Your living room looks so nice. If you do get the ottoman and dont want to get a coffee table you can always get a tray that can go on top if you wish to use a coffee table?
Also with the bookshelf (if you do decide to put books on it) you can always get ones that are all the same colour and if you change the colour scheme its easy to change the books to match.

A Kotatsu table with heater is a great alternative.
A table and an ottoman sounds like the best out if the two, I think for the table maybe glass or like marble top
We have a black wooden rectangle coffee table in our upstairs living room and in our basement we have a light brown rectangle coffee table where the top lifts up and you can store things in it. For some extra color you could add a throw blanket on your couch. If you want an ottoman to add to your couch, you can put a small side table on the side closer to the kitchen.

Definitly get the ottoman and then see how you like it and tbh beside your couch there is so much empty space. You could easily get 2 nesting coffe tables and put them there. When you need them you could pull them out.
I would suggest you go this the same wood colour as the speaker. The ivory and darf wood plus the greenary look very nice togeather.

You could ad the ottoman and then put a small table on the side of the sofa. Then if you need a coffetable for some reason you can just move the table and then put it back when your done.

Just my opinion but I think you can get the ottoman and a small coffee table. Defo a medium to dark wood round mirror on the cabinets. Also loving what you’ve done with the living room and the long videos 😊

The flower shop was wow, spoilt for choice. The mix of flowers are lovely but, I think the neck of your vase is perhaps a little narrow, I had exactly the same problem. Curtains filter the light making it softer. You definitely like a neutral, powder or dusky pink and teal or duck egg blue look good. Once you’ve got some pictures up and some ornaments it will make a difference as you can introduce colour that way. Or, a throw or two to lift the room and you can change them to mix it up. It was good to hear your thoughts on a rechargeable light as I’ve got a dark area with no sockets, and this might do the job. Nothing like a bit of Frank Sinatra in the background. Oh my you defo need to cover the plugs as they aren’t straight. I think a few books, photos, mirror or a painting. I’d get the ottoman which can be moved should you need to and a side table at the end of the sofa, which if you move it down a bit, away from the window the light and plant wouldn’t looked cramped and would make the area look bigger. But, what you have to think, is it’s your space, your home and you need to be comfortable and relaxed. You’re putting together a lovely home which is very stylish. 😊

I would get a warm wood coffee table. Glass coffee tables can be beautiful but they smudge easily. Mine is at a height where my dog likes to walk underneath it too and look up, which is cute, but I worry about her when she walks under there lol.

Hello A. :) Thank you for another video. The progress of the apartment looks amazing! I'm watrching this late at night cuz after work and showering. Monday is off for me but I like to watch some videos like yours the same day as upload :D Although its Monday for you already while I'm typing at 11 pm. :P
The spots after whiped cream maybe try lactose free if they make one? Or in generel they have an ingredient that cause this. I rarerly buy whipped cream. We usually make ourselves from 30% or more cream and whipp with electric whisk with some vanilla sugar. Anyway..I hope you are doing well. Greetings! A. :D

Biology standpoint - trim the stems once a week or so at a roughly 45⁰ angle - massive help! Also make sure leaves are above the water/dont be afraid to prune lower down ones for longevity!

The L piece would be great with a small round table!
Get the ottoman to extend your couch like a chaise. I would suggest getting a couch high end table for the end of the couch. You can put drinks on if your sitting there. I stage homes with a designer tray on the ottoman so it has multiple uses. The shelf is adorable you put together and yes you need one more couch pillow. Don't get a coffee table, your area is small and it will look congested. ❤

For the console table a mirror will look great, but if you are hanging it a round walnut wood look nice, if you are not hanging it then a rectangular i wood tones , the sofa sectional will look great too and adding a small table in case you entertain to set drinks …
