Theory: Paimon is not the Primordial One or its Shades, but the shell from which it hatched and then turned into the Firmament/False Sky, since that would explain why her character design references Celestia, the stars, constellations, and the 3 moons since they all reside within the Firmament, with her outfit looking egg-shaped. She would also be the Goddess of Protection (like she calls herself in the Traveler's profile) that is shielding Teyvat from ourside incursion, and the Guardian Angel who Guides Travelers (like she says during the kite-making scene in the 2024 Lantern Rite Festival event) since they would have to pass through the False Sky to reach Teyvat, and the stars within the sky are used for navigation. Additionally, in this theory the melusine who saw her as a balloon whose strings go past the sky was just misinterpreting seeing the strings go into the sky itself, or possibly to the other side of the Firmament.
I agree that gods of the current era are simply taking on the appearance of humans to blend in and also to make it a sign marking the end of the draconic era, Morax used to take the form of a dragon, besides the archons are the most supreme and strongest incarnation of their element as Ei says. Lastly, if Celestia ends up being overthrown by the Fatui, it's most likely that the new order - whether it's made by the Fatui or someone else, it's gonna walk down the same path, I highly suspect we disagree with the Fatui and confront them. Side note, I don't believe the Tsaritsa is being manipulated, I rather think she is agonized by what happened to khaneriah and the injustice of Celestia.
In my opinion, although the Fontaine archon quests, although really fun, the fatui situation in the nation is underwhelming to say the least for a few reasons: - We saw neither Sandrone or Dottore - Arrlechino, contrary to expectations, turned to be pretty chill rather than a two faced witch that we often imagine.
I have to agree actually have an arlecchino video tmrw discussion on jist that topic but ya wasnt the best fatui situation Sandrone has to be from Fontaine so what gives?
Arlecchino tried to murder Furina. She isn't chill at all. She literally is a wolf in sheep's clothes. Kind side wears white clothes, while evil wears black.
We already saw the concept of an existence creating another existence with it's own "parts": Egeria created the Oceanids, Focalors created Furina, etc. So, my guess is that all Teyvat's gods are actually creations of the 4 shades or something with this greatness, like Egeria was created by the shadow of life, and Venti is "a breeze from the god of time's thousand winds". Since one create another, the creation is in a lower "level" of divinity. Bit of Aerosiderite description: "The coastal nations of Teyvat refer to the region beyond the protection of The Seven as the Dark Sea. It is said that many defeated gods refused to live under the new order of The Seven, so they fled to remote islands and became evil gods. However, THEIR POWERS CAME FROM THE SAME SOURCE AS REX LAPIS, separate from this all-devouring darkness."
VERY nice video! It's offered me some clarity though I don't agree on all points. In terms of what you described, I want to highlight the 'Control and Worship' aspects, and in tune, how they're the very core of what creates a Genshin God. If I were to simply summarize it, Gods within Genshin are merely wielders of Collective Human Faith. I find this different from Archons who not only wield a massively higher degree of this power in scale, but also hold the authorities of the Elemental Dragons via the Gnosis as a bonus. It really clicked within my mind. You could view the Archon War as not only a purging of gods, but also a focus of human faith into seven thrones, forging their 'authority' in order to manipulate the world on grandiose scales. Back then with multiple gods, such as the God of Stove and the God of Salt, these were concepts that garnered traction and the belief of humanity at the threshold but never to massive outputs, in kind, allowing them to manipulate this particular scope of the concept. So I believe the bigger question could be focused onto what enacted the need for change? What was the motivation to wire this potential with elemental power? Since I view these potentials; Faith and Elemental Power as two entirely different spheres. Gnosis and in kind, Visions have just made the two seem like it all hailed from a singular source. The 'God System' as I'd coin it heavily relies on humanity not only existing, but them DEPENDING on the entities that enacted a high scale level of faith. If we want to look at another wielder of this potential, except seemingly removed from The Primordial One's influence, we could look at the crystal that not only inspired Clothar, but enabled him with the abilities to create the Abyss Order. That felt like one of the defining moments that this was more of a 'technique' compared to a 'miracle' within Teyvat's sphere. The Crystal is wholly conscious, it chooses those that worship it, and further solidifies that fact by producing 'miracles' due to it's manipulation potential by I imagine having a bigger following than we first realize. For instance if the Hilichurls just unconsciously decide to revere this thing, let's imagine just how MANY of these existed even well before the Cataclysm, Khaenri'ah is just another massive spike in it's power due to this. So with the arms race on human faith and in kind, human will, I believe that taking a deeper dive on this may unearth some secrets on why humanity being selectively sustained, but ALSO created via means of Teyvat is very important. Important enough that tampering with such matters such as Egeria did can be pinned as a horrible crime by Celestia. Keep up the good work!
“O almighty sovereign, the universitas magistrorum has provided the predictions you have requested: the two stars have been captured by the world’s gravity… After a lengthy orbital period, today their paths shall intertwine once more”. I find this very intriguing, it’s from a name card. Achievement: Orbits. I get the gist of it but who is the sovereign that requested the prediction? And who gave the prediction. Also I am firmly of the belief that Paimon is a stripped down version of the primordial one, purposefully because she didn’t want to be hunted down in some form.
I think the sovereign is King Irmin, the king of Kaenri'ah who is kinda like Odin. No human in a world ruled by archons would call himself "almighty sovereign". Seems out of character for all the archons we know too. More importantly, the two stars seem to be the twins, and they are connected to Kaenri'ah, not to King Deshret or the Primordial One or anybody like that. On the other hand, "universitas magistorum" is Latin, and we have yet to encounter a Latin-themed country. Enkanomiya is Ancient Greek, Fatui are Italian (unlike Snezhnaya, which is Russian), and Kaenri'ah is Norse. Which suggests that there is a civilization we do not know about yet, somewhere. Perhaps Remuria?

Because in starting there was only one taboo according to sun and moon and that was temptation( to forbidden knowledge). And Primordial one came here with some purpose, it's not like they were trying to be god of being they have created.
Yeah that is most likely but what is that purpose? And all the thosands of gods that have lived in teyvat big or small what grand purpose do they surve truly?
@@TheGamerChronicles999 But One thing I understand is all gods are not dead completly. All gods died but as archon wished other gods came back to life like in all nation after war ended.
Well... Maybe gods were not on good terms at the time, or they were already fighting over territories and such. So Celestia probably started the archon war to end the conflict between gods, and let humans live their lives given they're the weakest population, hence why every archon led their nation based on their ideal and philosophy.

The triquetra is a symbol of magical protection-wondering if she won’t betray us but rather sacrifice herself to protect either the world or Traveller.
I always thought gods in Genshin were too humanoid. Thanks to this video I now have a little theory in my head. A god indeed is just authority and worship (and lifespan) so gods are fake humans in a way. The adepti are seen as demi gods while they sometimes act more like a god than Zhongli. Someone like Ei never felt like a god to me. A god in my eyes is a neutral being, or a different moral compass.
There are basically only two options for human-like gods to appear. As opposed to decidedly nonhuman beings such as Melusines. First, is that back in the day when Teyvat functioned properly, humans could ascend to godhood, in a process similar to ascending to Celestia. And so, all the gods Teyvat has, were once humans. They may have forgotten their origins, or maybe they didn't, but their nature as humans remains. Second, that humans were made in Primordial One's image (or Primordial One in human image), and all the gods are shades of shades of the Primordial One, or something like that. You know, kind of like Marchosias turned himself into a myriad of little bears that ran around helping people.
Tbh none of the archons seem like gods and that simply because they’re too human for people to comprehend that they are gods the archons have human emotions they can feel sadness and grief they can feel love and excitement, though I kind of disagree that God is just worship and power if that’s the case then what makes a human a human appearance? No gods to me are being who have a special kind of power only able to be achieved with ambition and power and thats divinity to me I believe that God’s divinity is what makes them a God because to me I believe the divinity in a god is there ambition and will or more specifically their ambition, turning into a will that’s why vision holders have a chance to ascend to God, because if their ambition is strong enough, it can turn into a will
im gonna be so sad when the games story finishes but im also excited to rewatch all these theory videos and see if everything lines up with the story, though im sure theres more than just the last 2 regions since genshin impact will probably want to milk everything to make profit so maybe we will visit whats left of khaenri'ah, possibly fix it maybe? or something like that, i hope they actually come out with an anime, but maybe the anime will only come out once the story is over and thats why we have no information about it, because they arent close to done since they will find a way to make the story longer, i really hope they make the story something like all the archons, vision holders and adepti work together to defeat the heavenly principles or something cause in my head that looks so cool
i strongly want to believe in the story ending up proving the real primordial one was the 1 and only "good hearted" god that created the human realm everything else is bitter considering the real world being driven towards destruction & poverty by those exact demons that were left free by aleister crowley & more the world is done bruh hoyo pls drop that happy ending hahaha
I mean, it doesn’t seem like it’s headed in a happy direction in terms of not everything’s gonna end happily but it’s going to end with us finding our sister or brother
The way it looks, something is badly broken in Teyvat. And it's up to the Traveller to fix it. Because he has the heart and the willpower to make it happen. And whoever is in Celestia doesn't. Perhaps it would mean the Traveller becoming the ruler of all of Teyvat, sitting on a throne in Celestia. Perhaps it would mean breaking open the false skies, and Teyvat finally getting born from the egg. We shall see. But it would be a good ending. Even if many sacrifices would be made to achieve it.
The first references to supernatural tree are in Before Sun and Moon, in the Parable of the Tree. That parable probably explains something very crucial, if we could understand it. The events there probably happened when the Celestial Nails fell down, and many special trees, like the one in Dragonspine, were destroyed. Still, it suggests that Irminsul existed for a long time at that point. So it was probably created at around the same point as the Primordial One came, or possibly earlier. Or it could be, that the branches that the doves held when the Primordial One came, were branches of spirit tree somewhere outside of the world.
