    My guy I have been trying for a couple of weeks to work out why I couldn't get this to work! Not sure what you did that was different from other tutorials that I've seen but it finally actually let the VNC connect! You have earned an upvote!

    Intel E1000 limits communication between physical AND ALSO virtual machines to 1 GB. It also puts a lot of strain on the processor.
    Other than that, good tutorial.

    Great content, I would have said the day if I had seen that video yesterday... 😅
    Though, I can't access a web server I deployed on it from the lan, is it due to win server firewall or proxmox?

    • @i12bretro
      @i12bretro  Год назад +1

      I would guess Windows firewall. I have a domain controller running in Proxmox with a web server and several other services and I've never had an issue with Proxmox blocking any ports

    How much worse is it if you specify cache=none for the disk?

      I'm not sure. This is based on the Proxmox install docs. Feel free to change it to see how it effects performance

      @@i12bretro you limit the throughput to 1gbit with your settings. With VirtIO network you get a theoretical max of 40gbit
