My theory is correct and Mike is the vengeful spirit though it doesn’t exactly say who he is vengeful towards. Himself, William, Evan. But the hospital moment was very wholesome and felt like a fresh start for Mike and Alex. And since now we know who the vengeful spirit is, there bound to be a new issue to come…

I understand why not wanting to be better is unappealing. It’s terrifying to change, especially when being terrible to others is most your life.

Mike being the vengeful spirit is something that surprised me to say the least. But I do think he’s vengeful against William & Evan. He’s simply more vocal abt William than he is Evan. But I also think he’s vengeful against himself. In nearly every situation, he holds himself accountable. Knowing that truly in most cases, it isn’t anywhere near his fault. But it’s surely a good character choice. But also development. I’ve never been this proud of Mike in this AU. Truth be told, I found him annoying. Another character being angry at William for me to crap on…Until I saw this. Micheal while yes, holding himself accountable, never made an effort to restart & now he is. If he gets revenge on Evan or William then so be it.
This is so adorable, Im so happy Michael finally let them in and they're all on good terms, this made me so happy and this was the most wholesome thing I've seen today, but I wonder what will happen since we all found out Mike is vengeful?? Can't wait for the next video!!!

Tbh, I was half expecting the gem to not light up, like Michael becoming willing to try to move on was him no longer being vengeful towards himself, but I suppose that was too optimistic.

I really liked how Cassidy consoled Elizabeth. The poor girl only wants to be loved and taken seriously. Maybe with expanding her circle with Cassidy and possibly also the missing children, she will be able to find a group that will love and appreciate her exactly the way she is.
I think that's Michael subconsciousness who was speaking to him. Either that or the vengeful side of him. Whoever or whatever it was, it probably helped Michael see that really isn't alone and like Jessica told him before he doesn't need to "fix" himself but to rebuild himself up. And now he's a bit more open to himself and others. Hopefully, with the help of Alex, Naomi, Terrance & Elizabeth he can build a new version of himself
And I hope the confrontation between Cassidy & co and Michael won't be too hard on anyone in general.

Also I guess I was right. Now I wonder who he is vengeful to. Could be himself or someone else. However, he seems to be really deep in denial. Which is why I think he would be shocked if confronted about it.
You know I’ve noticed nobody is asking. . . WHY IS HE/ WHAT IS the reason for him being a vengeful spirit perhaps? So, to answer that question I’ve come up with maybe a theory.
Since vengeful spirits often seek vengeance (of course), I believe he is a vengeful spirit because it could be towards his family relationships specifically, William in particular as Michael was always mistreated by him (based off of lore wise), OR another theory is that he is a vengeful spirit perhaps because he has suffered to such a degree it will all eventually end up in his suffering becoming fuel to make other people suffer and that’s why he is the vengeful spirit (tho, so far he hasn’t done anything to do that so mainly a hunch), but I’m curious that if that’s the scenario that were to play out, what would cause his breaking point?
It’s interesting to think about, I quite like this Afton AU as it feels like we learn more with the characters as we come up with our own theories or ideas for how the plot will turn out!

Hopefully Terrence won’t mention his problem with Jeremy for now but I have a feeling that Mike will figure it out and give him supportive chewing out. Because, Jeremy might be Terrence‘s partner, but he was Mike’s friend first.
Edit: This video could not have come at a better time because I feel like garbage because of a medical thing and I genuinely felt better after watching this. The payoff is so much better when characters take small steps towards recovery rather than everything being forgiven in the reunion episode.

After putting a bit of thought into it, I believe Mike is vengeful at William. I don't think a vengeful spirit could be vengeful at themselves, and Mike probably wouldn't have been agreeable to change, and Evan, while I could see him being added, wasn't the cause, because michael was a vengeful spirit before finding out that Evan was just using him so the only Viable option is William

WAIT! I remembered in the Lie detector vid we found out that it wasnt Michael's fault Evan died. I watched the video again and Michael said, "Yes(referibg to forgiving Evan), after all it was my fault."
HOWEVER!!!
In response the room turned orange which we were told mean a half truth i.e. he did forgive Evan but *Evan's death wasn't entirelyhis fault.*
Going with this theory we can assume that there is another candidate to whom Michael is vengeful. Someone who may have assisted in Evan's death either by helping or by persuading.
This leaves us with a couple of suspects.
1. Michael's friends (The Tormentors)
2. Henry Emily
3. Michael's mysterious ex who was mentioned by Alex

I definitely expected the vengeful spirit, I mean, Cass said that the eyes were EXCLUSIVE to vengeful spirits, and then Liz said HE, AWAY FOR DAYS which also hint at it, I keep seeing everyone say that the vengeance is against William, Evan, Terrence, and/or himself.
I believe it is only William and himself, I just got off the lie detector for this channel and he definitely forgives Terrence and Evan, just he denies that his own death wasn't his fault at all when told he had also said he'd never forgive William... Soooo yeah!
