As someone who has been independently studying math/physics outside of a formal school setting, it is so rare to stumble across others who share interest in it. Often when I mention that I study it for the sake of pure interest and curiosity, I'm met with blank stares or condescending comments. I think it is important for us mathematicians to not give in, and rather try our best to explain why we enjoy what we do and feel completely unashamed for it. Anyone willing to learn a challenging concept is on the right path in my book. Perhaps this is anecdotal based on my internet experiences, but I do believe math is slowly and steadily gaining more positive traction, thanks to channels like Professor Leonard, 3blue1brown, Khan Academy, etc. I'm excited to see where this realm of free and open education leads to. Thank you for posting this, Professor Leonard.

I'm a Computer Science student and when I first got to community college I started off with algebra... I hated it and thought it was hard. I fought through it while watching your videos and i'm now in Calculus 2. I also enjoy math despite how difficult it can get. You taught me that anything is possible. Thank you for everything!
I have my Calc 3 finals in the morning. I spent the weekend watching your lectures. Everything makes so much sense. Thank You! This exam has no clue what’s coming at it. I got this!
I'm first-year undergraduate mathematics major at UC San Diego and it really is hard to find people who share the same love for math. You are one of my role models and your lectures have helped me so much and in some cases more than my professors. You break things down in a way for even non "math people" to understand and you would be someone I would point to as the face of math for students today
I face the same problems by studying physics. I agree 100%. Math has the ability to describe reality at a fundamental level and this is without regard to its inherent beauty. Thank you Professor Leonard!
Love you, Professor Leonard. I had a condescending teacher in my calculus 3 class who also picked on me for being the only girl in his class, your videos not only got me through the class but also got me through with an A. Now I'm working on quantum mechanics in physical chemistry classes, thank you so much for your helpful insightful videos.
Professor, Sending a great big THANK YOU to you all the way from South Africa !!! Exactly... I'm teaching "Math extra classes" due to the fact that so many student just don't BELIEVE that they CAN do Mathematics... So often it's not a matter of intelligence, but of HEART... A broken heart seems to let the mathematics skills "drain out"... and that's just terrible... But seeing a child's eyes light up with enlightenment and the JOY of Mathematics is simply INCREDIBLE... A God-given privilege... God bless & keep you !
Just got my results for Calc 3. Passed it with a pretty good grade by just watching your videos. Didn't attend a single lecture at my uni. Much gratitude for your work :)
I’ve had teachers in middle school who HATED when a student asked a question just to clarify something. They would say something along the lines of “if you were paying attention you would know” then go on and on and put them on blast and make them look like a fool in front of everyone else. Never asked questions because of that, from the fear of being humiliated. I feel those people should not be teachers. Also, I would like to thank you so much professor. I already took calculus 1 and calculus 2 but I am watching these lectures to prepare for calculus 3. These lectures are better than anything I’ve seen on the internet. Especially the ones you pay for. Plus I am reading a book along with the lecture to reinforce my understanding and the purpose of each section. My goal is to finish up to your calculus 3 lecture before the end of summer to prepare for calculus 3! Thank you for everything.
I’m late to this channel but this has been not only the best way to learn math but you completely changed my feelings toward math. You’re not only a great professor but an inspirational person. Thank you for posting these I hope nothing but the best for you.
Professor Leonard, i am 31 and in school while working a full time job. Your passion and love for math has been the reason I have passed calc 2&3. I am taking diff Eq and linear algebra next semester and will be going straight to your videos. Thank you so much for what you do!
Oh WOW there's hope! I'm 32 all the way from KE, and now I feel totally encouraged. I'm taking pre-requisite courses to help me in career and join school in the near future. Good luck to to you and I hope you aced your exams!

Calculus is the first section in math that truly opened my eyes to the beauty of math. And it was mostly because of my high school calculus professor, and now, because of you as I work my way through your Calc III videos. Before, I wouldn't see trigonometry or even pre calculus as awesome, but now I appreciate it all because it's simply amazing how the more I learn, the more I value everything that I've learned before it. Thank you for all your videos, I can only wish I had found your channel sooner
Who and what every professor should be! He doesn’t do it for the check nor the statue! He does it so that we students can have a check as well statue one day!
One of the most humble and caring professors out there. I want to thank you so much for putting out math content for us to learn from. I wish you and your family a better future. Much love from North Carolina.
I don't comment on many videos, but honestly without you I don't know where I would be in my life right now. You gave me a second wind at school. I was stuck in calc2 and thought that I would never pass the class and your vidoes made me see calc as a new art form, I put the hardwork in and by watching your videos and understanding the way you explanation things made me understand calc on a level that I thought I could never achieve. I passed calc2 with a 95% and right now I'm taking DiffEq, I'm a step closer to becoming an engineer. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart I appreciate you can thank you for what you have done. The world is a mean and nasty place. And as one great man once said, "It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." , Thank you professor Leonard. I wish the best for you.
I've always hated math. I've never thought I could do it. It kept me from pursuing my dreams for so long. I just finished finals in my college calc class with a 96% and I truly could not have done it without you. Thank you professor.
I'm from the Philippines and I really love you videos. I wish for your good health and continue what you are doing. Again, thank you professor Leonard. God bless you and your channel.
“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty-a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music, yet sublimely pure, and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show.” ― Bertrand Russell Back in middle and high school, I used to have this discouraging feeling from being made fun at when saying I liked Maths. However, by the time I got to college and had my courses of calculus A through C, I had finally seen the hidden beauty of Maths and FELT a glimpse of passion to study it. When you reach this point of realization, you'll lose every bit of insecurity in showing your love of Maths and instead you will grow a light sense of pride in it :)
Thank you for speaking about this topic. Some of the brightest minds are shut down because of discouraging comments from teachers. Academics should be a place to build minds, not tear them down. I love your channel, well spoken video.
Dear Professor Leonard, you’re a great man and a great teacher. I just finished calculus 4 and differential equations. You helped me through many exams. Keep on mathing. It is truly important. Some people will never understand. You’re a resource for many people who will one day be Engineers, mathematicians, and really any other area that requires mathematics. I wish there were more people who looked like Superman and taught online math for free.
I had one of the worst Calculus 1 professors in my college to the point where not one student could legitimately not depend on him. Thankfully, my brother gave the word to me about you and you helped me survive the class. Thank you for teaching me, for teaching us 🙏
@@BenjaminsNotes Right! There could be organized channels that have their own subjects like Calculus 1, Diff E, etc... And the best part is that there would be live help from other students!
I had a math teacher in 7th grade named Mr.White. He was so mean. He was old and Grumpy as hell and made me feel dumb. He made me hate math.. somehow I made my way back at 30- finding your videos I started with your pre-algebra playlist..now almost done your TTP math playlist. And I must say, I LOVE math!! I'm so excited to learn what comes next. I will watch every single Playlist in order and keep learning. Math is beautiful. And you are an exceptional teacher which helps the most. Thank YOU ❤
Holy sh*t!! Professor Leonard, you’re such an inspirational person. Every word you said is true. Not everyone is good at math, but everyone can learn if the effort is there. This video just came around the right time when finals are about to start. A lot of students are struggling they often feel stupid because they don’t understand concepts, but your approach is the right way. Education is suppose to be a fun, safe environment where all students have equal opportunity and are not judged by their peers. Many students feel intimidated at times when they can’t comprehend some concepts, and it leads to anxiety and self hate. Many students feel this way including me, but you’re lectures give a second opportunity to students. Thank you so much ☺️. Positivity is the only thing needed in this world.
Well said, the appreciation can never be fully artuliculated for what you've done for us. Despite that. I just want to say thank you for being a mentor and teacher for us when we all needed one.
Professor Leonard, you are one of humanity's greatest people and I really mean that. I have been absolutely burnt out from not just school but from living and often times I don't have the motivation to learn. It's not that people make fun of me or make me feel stupid; I bring that upon myself. So thank you for your words of encouragement, I really need this. Looks like I'll be coming back to proofs really soon, and it is all thanks to you! Thanks again Professor!!!
I found professor Leonard this past February when I began a statistics class that began in January. I learned everything in this corse through you. We use rstudio which has this traditional way of learning statistics more about coding than apply formulas and solving by hand. I was taking my final tonight and your encouragement email popped up. It made me smile and relax as I was stuck on a problem. After I finished my final I listened to your message. I feel like you popped into my inbox at the right time with a message that speaks to my exact experience with this course. Thank you for doing these videos and explaining in such clear detail that anyone can learn math.
theres nothing wrong for being passionate about math or science. If someone calls you a dork or a nerd for humbly engaging in learning these subjects they are likely to be insecure about their own intelligence. thank you for being so encouraging.
I'm older than you are, Prof Leonard, and a teacher of English. But I pursue maths as a hobby - mathematics is, after all, another language. I just want to thank you very much for your lucid and systematic approach; the trouble you take explaining concepts to us; and the sense of humour that you possess that does offer a little 'relief' from the tension of concentrating on maths. Thanks so much for enabling me to get my fundamentals in order and for making me love maths more and more each day. Incidentally, in India, where I come from, loving maths is 'cool'!
I was struggling with what major to choose when I first entered college. I had to take algebra, pre calc, calc 1, 2 and 3. During those semesters I used to watch your videos to learn. Your way of teaching math was so effortless and meticulous that Math became incredibly beautiful to me. Now, three years into college now, I am a math major and my goal is to be a math professor. It was all because of you, Professor Leonard. Thank you for inspiring me and many others. And also thank you for believing in us.
Just went through a few of your videos. I am rediscovering math after many years of life. Your passion is evident & has encouraged me to continue with your instruction
I don't recommend that people do this but for some reason I've been putting off Calculus 3 for much of the last third of the semester and as a result had no clue or motivation to learn what surface integrals, divergence, flux, curl, etc were. That was until a couple days ago. It was great you posted this video when you did because it really gave me the confidence and encouragement to sit down and actually learn the stuff for the final. So the day before my final I binge watched all of your chapter 15 videos for that class and MAN was that a life saver. Not only did I get excited to actually learn the content, but I also almost completely forgot that I had a final in less then 24 hours that I still needed to learn a third's semester of content for! Needless to say, I went into that final with no sleep but with all the knowledge and understanding of the material imparted by you and your amazing teaching style. I couldn't have gotten that A without your videos, and encouragement :) . Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You truly are the greatest professor, and I can say that with confidence.
Professor Leonard, thank you!! Thank you for everything. You helped me and my younger brother through Calculus 2, and Calculus 3 also back in 2016 and 2017. I would watch your videos and recommend you to everyone struggling. Thank you for helping me, and you'll always be simply the best. Greetings from California and we could always use a great professor like you out here in the golden state
Prof. Leonard, your country has thousands of people in it who believe that the earth is flat. I doubt that's simple because they don't understand math, but rather because no one encouraged them to do more and to be more. Don't let anyone talk down to your enthusiasm and love of math. It is so generous of you to share that with the world through RUclips. Hundred of comments left on your videos attest to how you are changing people's lives. You have single handedly done more for Calculus education on earth than any other human being alive today.
My love for math has been a lonely journey and i didnt really find it until my first college math class at 27! But i am reminded that van gough didnt pick up a paint brush til 28. i got so excited to truly be surrounded by people who shared the love. That didnt happen and i overly romanticized the concept before i began. I didnt fit in with The students as they didn’t share my love. Here i was in a major in which i thought the ego would be suspended but no, it was more prevalent than ever. More so because i loved makeup and nail polish and getting my hair done as much as i loved differential equation and infinite series (the most beautiful concept in the world to me, the most poetic of all mathematical concepts(in my opinion)) i was taken even less seriously. The teachers took me even less seriously then the students. When i asked a question once in class the professor told me “i cant even answer your question with that all that makeup on your face.” To which i was laughed at by the whole class. Bullied in highschool and then in college. Yay. I was so discouraged and sad that no one got excited about the subject the way i did, not even the professors. My math journey has been a lonely one, but the number 1 is my favorite number.
Its funny everytime I tell someone I like math their response is "what the... really why?" And to that I sometimes go on about how amazing it can be and how we use it for a variety of things and how its not just about "numbers". Sometimes doing problems feel like puzzles and they see how passionate I can be about math and they usually find it cool or at least they understand
Just to share guys, I failed two times on my licensure exam here in the phils, because of that i almost gave up, i did not know where to start, but it did not prevent me on trying, and i returned to basic of everything, and prof. leonards vid helped me a lot. Math is not about knowing the number, its loving and being excited about it. its the foundation of everything, know math you can handle almost anything, and to prof leonard I will forever be thankful. Here I am, 4 years being Electrical Engineer now.
As a pure math student, this is really insightful! I don’t like when my peers say that math is boring, etc. I mean they’re entitled to their opinion, but it’s something I’ve always loved deeply, and I’m glad that there are lots of math people in the world still.
Sir , you are the best. I have 2 yr old son, I will teach him math through your videos and most importantly i want to teach him the values you follow and make him a successful human being. To me your videos are more than Maths. Thank you very much.
This is the first year in my life ever doing calculus. With your help I am taking calculus 3 and I still can’t believe it. I think it’s a beautiful class but my tests are out of this world! I have a professor that shits on American culture for not being mathematically literate out of high school. His tests are pretty damn hard and he boasts most of this content is not even ‘real thinking’. It’s been an uphill battle with his terrible tests but I’m still in the game because of you professor Leonard! I would love to have the privilege to have a professor who treats our learning with respect like you!
Professor Leonard you are the Math RUclips GOAT! Your lectures got me through Cal1-3! I do my best to put all my homies on your shit! You make content relatable, clear, and understandable. When I watch your lecture I don’t memorize patterns, I gain understanding of content!
Some quotes that I've picked up or affirmations I tell everyone: "Mathematics is the letters and grammar of the universe while physics is the language." "You're only smart when you realize how much more you have to learn." I love science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Not because of how much money one can make off of it. But because you have an idea that can revolutionize the world and make it so much better, and it all starts with the fundamental constituents. Besides, people want to say math is complicated, but in all honestly, people have so many variables that others just develop a intuition to fill in the unknowns. That is not a solid way for someone like me to live and is the reason why we have so many problems in the world today. So many people rush out with an idea that they think, believe, and/or feel will make the world better, but the underlying variable that they choose to work on and assume is the problem is only showing a correlation and is sometimes nowhere near causation. You are a good man Professor Leonard and I appreciate all that you do for the people that you help (myself included).
I am 21, started my college with bright hopes and love for Physics. But some how my professors and fellow classmates made me realize I'm not smart enough. I dropped out. I'm not popular among girls. My girlfriend broke up with me a two years back(the first and the last). My family told me I'd never be able to do anything in my life. I was close to giving up, when I discovered the beauty of mathematics. I have been self studying mathematics ever since. I went through the double pendulum equations, Lagrangian mechanics, Einstein's field equations (non rigorous), a bit of Multivariable Calculus, general and special relativity, fractals. Now I'm studying set theory, mathematical philosophy and Calculus. I also studied a bit of graphology, computer programming(java, elementary python, basic C), psychology(crash course and books on hypnosis and false memory implants), articles on world history and origin of languages; but I do not have any degree.
I remember when I was in elementary/middle school I used to be terrible at math. I couldn't, and still can't, do mental math very well. At all. My first year of Algebra-I was bad, but when I got to Geometry I had an amazing teacher. He said to the class, “Teachers don’t fail stupid, they fail lazy”. From then on I became the best in every class I took. I never had less than a 95 in Geometry, Algebra-II, AP Stats, or any class. Because of this channel and ProfRobBob, I started the school’s first Math Club and tutored kids for 3 years.
Thank you sir. I am 23 and about to start college while working full time. I will be majoring in Economics and will require a lot of math and quants. I have been bad at math my whole life and very lazy which I think is majority of my issue. Just found your channel and this video has given me the motivation to start taking math serious and enjoy the process
I wanted to like math, but do to circumstances in my education I didn't get very far. Here I am now 35 and one of my goals in life is to learn as high of math (maths) as possible. You Professor have been one of the main motivating factors in my journey. I also encourage others that say they "are not a math person" to reconsider and have a different mindset about it.

I was in Iraq in 2015 when I was in the Marine Corps. I was getting ready to get out after 8 long years. I found your channel and started from the very basics you taught, and followed along and practiced the best I could and ultimately ended up very successful in school. I did well on the ACT and it took off from there. Thank you Leonard. Thank you so much!

Well, I don't believe in coincidences. I'm quite sure that many people have spoken into my life at the EXACT time I needed them to during pivotal moments. I am very proud of you for making it through whatever you have gone through and graduating. That's an incredible accomplishment and I wish you the best of luck. God bless!!
I needed this! I'm a mathematics education major at my university & you have no idea how many people have discouraged me. "Why do you want to be a math teacher?" or "I don't think that is a career worth pursuing". Well, I disagree. I have watched your videos and they have given me a confidence and an understanding that I wouldn't have had without a great teacher. I am not a genius at math, but I have a strong love for it. Just like anyone else, it takes some time to learn. However this is what I want to do as a career. Teachers really do touch lives. I strongly believe that. I'm sure you had people try to discourage you too at the start of your college career, but look at you now! You are changing student's lives & doing so much good. Thank you, Professor Leonard. I will stick to this through the end.
Your videos were of great help to me during my freshman year and your message in this video is a noble one that deserve nothing less than admiration. Thank you professor Leonard for what you are doing it's a life changer for many students from all over the world! Writing this from KFUPM Saudi Arabia
Math is a bittersweet thing. When you learn a new concept/technique for the first time, those first couple of hours (or even days) are hell, but the feeling when you start catching on to the rhythm, and the satisfaction you get from getting a lousy book problem right, makes it all worth it. I've always found math incredibly alluring and unique. Think about it. Mathematicians changed the word with a mere piece of paper and something to write with. Enough said. P.S. I every upper division math student in my university would buy a "Trust The Leonard" t-shirt... just throwing it out there. ;)
I got my first A in a college math course (Calc 2) yesterday! I found your channel a couple weeks into the semester and you made learning so much easier than any other teacher I've had. Much Love!! Very Inspirational ...Greatly Appreciated!! GOD BLESS!! LOVE!!!
Professor Leonard thank you so so so much. You have been a part of many of our lives even though many of us do not know you in person. Thank you so much for imparting your love for mathematics to us college students and all those who follow you. Your videos definitely got me through calculus. Once again, thank you.
Thank you for your time, patience and consideration for the 'You Tube' students! This 63yr old student has learned with great ease and comfort from your videos. Your attention to detail and explicit explanations of 'why' the preliminaries and outcomes should be the way they are, is sublime. As a BSCE student from U.N.O, I wasn't expected to take Calculus 3. However, over the summer of '18 and all these years, I was intrigued by your teaching method. I took detailed notes, pausing your videos to jot down the work you displayed on the board - I was captivated by your clear explanations. I continue to this day to go over this exciting subject and enjoy the deeper understanding of my static, dynamics and structural analysis courses from school. You are a treasured and well respected. May God give you the strength and determination to carry on !
I made it through Calc 3 thanks to you, your passion for math and your passion for teaching. I've had a lot of professors who were really good at math, but very few professors who taught it as well as you do. So thank you, Professor Leonard! You are an inspiration to students all over the world. Much love from Canada!
Thank you, Professor Leonard! Your videos have been a great encouragement and aid in Calculus. You are my go-to source when I am struggling with a math concept. Your videos have helped me to enjoy math more.
As a math major in my senior year, I really appreciate this message. Though I don’t get a lot of hate for loving math, I did have bad experiences with teachers and just have needed some encouragement and validation that I’m on the right path. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with, encouraging, and helping us!
I hated Math, but you totally changed me 4 years ago! I started with your Algebra videos and have been enjoying Math ever since!
You missed numberphile they have great videos too
@@triptibiswas8941 I completely agree!
1. Thank you for making this during finals.
2. I. NEED. That. Shirt.
I second the shirt one, I would totally buy that.
Pretty sure that you can ask for specific texts on the shirts that you buy.
My favorite maths professor 😊☺️. You made me pass calculus exams. I watched your videos from limits to integrals. Thank you so much ☺.
Thanks Bertha!!
I will never be a teacher or professor. It's too late for me. I am a middle aged man. I have more years of life behind me than ahead. I know this to be true.
My circle of friends is small. I have not dated since my divorce more than 15 years ago. I rent a small room in the Bronx. I am not popular with females for many reasons. So, why not learn math the right way? Sounds like a good idea to me.
I'm a Computer Science student and when I first got to community college I started off with algebra... I hated it and thought it was hard. I fought through it while watching your videos and i'm now in Calculus 2. I also enjoy math despite how difficult it can get. You taught me that anything is possible. Thank you for everything!
Congrats!
Final's week! Amazing message! You are making a difference in this world. Thanks, for the great work!
I have my Calc 3 finals in the morning. I spent the weekend watching your lectures. Everything makes so much sense. Thank You! This exam has no clue what’s coming at it. I got this!
How did it go?
Oren Rosenman I got an A!!!
Niceee
you are the absolute best math professor I have ever learned from!!!
You singlehandedly carry me through math. You are amazing, and you are appriciated. Attitude is everything.
hey man, he didn't carry you. he merely just nudged you to the finish. you did it my dude.
That's correct! I can't do the work for anybody, I can just provide the resource. Your success and hard work is purely your own.
N. Ghazi hi can you recommend which videos or material that can help
Love you, Professor Leonard. I had a condescending teacher in my calculus 3 class who also picked on me for being the only girl in his class, your videos not only got me through the class but also got me through with an A. Now I'm working on quantum mechanics in physical chemistry classes, thank you so much for your helpful insightful videos.
congrats!
Professor,
Sending a great big THANK YOU to you all the way from South Africa !!!

Much love from North

Great job on that 95%!! Keep up the hard work in Diff Eq and you'll do great :)
I've always hated math. I've never thought I could do it. It kept me from pursuing my dreams for so long. I just finished finals in my college calc class with a 96% and I truly could not have done it without you. Thank you professor.
Great job!!
I'm from the Philippines and I really love you videos. I wish for your good health and continue what you are doing. Again, thank you professor Leonard. God bless you and your channel.
Thanks professor Leonard, I really needed the encouragement right now! Exams week is this week and it's really killing me.
You can do it! Don't stress!
I have a 58% on the class right now, I’m already dead. Good luck to you!
“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty-a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music, yet sublimely pure, and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show.”
― Bertrand Russell
Back in middle and high school, I used to have this discouraging feeling from being made fun at when saying I liked Maths.
I wish there were more people who looked like Superman and taught online math for free.
you're a precious human being thank you
I had one of the worst Calculus 1 professors in my college to the point where not one student could legitimately not depend on him. Thankfully, my brother gave the word to me about you and you helped me survive the class. Thank you for teaching me, for teaching us 🙏

Thank YOU ❤
Thank you prof Leonard. I'm a huge fan of math and you have been amazingly helpful throughout my learning so I can go into a field that I love!
Thanks for your kind words! Keep your head up, you can do this :)
I never thought one of your videos would make me cry
I found professor Leonard this past February when I began a statistics class that began in January. I learned everything in this corse through you. We use rstudio which has this traditional way of learning statistics more about coding than apply formulas and solving by hand. I was taking my final tonight and your encouragement email popped up. It made me smile and relax as I was stuck on a problem. After I finished my final I listened to your message. I feel like you popped into my inbox at the right time with a message that speaks to my exact experience with this course. Thank you for doing these videos and explaining in such clear detail that anyone can learn math.
You helped me pass statistics with an A. Thank you so much.
theres nothing wrong for being passionate about math or science. If someone calls you a dork or a nerd for humbly engaging in learning these subjects they are likely to be insecure about their own intelligence.
thank you for being so encouraging.
Thank you for this Leonard, i hope you the best from Argentina ♥
I absolutely love how much he loves math and I'm not really of a fan, but I love seeing his joy from math, but I LOVE finally understanding it.

What a wonderful person. ❤❤

Yeah he should make a discord or reddit or something
It's a bit too much to ask thinking the free math videos he already provided us...I passed and did well in all my calculus classes because of him.
You truly are the greatest professor, and I can say that with confidence.
i wish you would teach discrete math :) loved your calc 2 series
Professor Leonard, thank you!! Thank you for everything. You helped me and my younger brother through Calculus 2, and Calculus 3 also back in 2016 and 2017. Prof. Leonard, your country has thousands of people in it who believe that the earth is flat.
I'm sorry for your experience. I hope that here you can join with others who do love the subject.

What?

Some quotes that I've picked up or affirmations I tell everyone:
"Mathematics is the letters and grammar of the universe while physics is the language."
"You're only smart when you realize how much more you have to learn."
I love science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Great job Paul! I'm happy you started a Math Club, very cool.

Math is a bittersweet thing.
When you learn a new concept/technique for the first time, those first couple of hours (or even days) are hell,
but the feeling when you start catching on to the rhythm, and the satisfaction you get from getting a lousy book problem right, makes it all worth it.
I've always found math incredibly alluring and unique.
Think about it.
Mathematicians changed the word with a mere piece of paper and something to write with. Enough said.
P.S. I every upper division math student in my university would buy a "Trust The Leonard" t-shirt... just throwing it out there. ;)
Professor Leonard, you love math and you have spread that love to so many of us. So deeply and honestly thank you.

Congrats on making it to your senior year in math!! That is excellent and I'm sure you'll do very well :)
I hated Math, but you totally changed me 4 years ago! I started with your Algebra videos and have been enjoying Math ever since! Some times to change one student's life, it only takes one teacher who actually cares about the mission of passing the knowledge, how to teach us to enjoy it and appreciate it. You are truly a Math hero, Thank you Professor Leonard!
We believe in Professor Leonard
