Till Lindemann (the Singer), used to be on a short list to the 1980 Olympics (for East Germany), but he never got there, and he have kept himself in shape ever since. Till is also a licensed pyrotechnician, and does all the pyro himself. "An incident in September 1996 caused a section of the band's set to burn, and as a result, Lindemann got his certification in pyrotechnics so the band could perform with pyrotechnics more safely than it had previously" The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage. The real reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flamable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty. I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd. "The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real. How hot is was, it was hot..I have been to 3 of their shows (not this one thought), but 2 outdoors, and 1 indoor, the indoor was really hot, I drank 2 bottles of water and felt like I have used a couple more. The band have some merchandise if buy ticket to the front row, with the text "I survived Front Row at a Rammstein Concert" I don't have that myself, but one of my friends have.
Correction: Lindemann DOES have a pyro license, but he does not "do all the pyro himself". In fact on their current tour with over 600 pyro effects, there is a pyro crew headed by Nicolai Sabottka, who does several other bands, from Motley Crue and Kiss, to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
A Rammstein concert isn’t just a concert, it’s an experience. I saw them in Sunrise Florida a few years ago and San Antonio Texas last year. The amount of pyro is so unreal. The first time I saw them I started looking for the emergency exits halfway through the first song. Last year at the Alamo Dome the smoke was so thick they stopped playing for about 15 min because you couldn’t even see the stage. The “blood” is actually fire retardant gel. Let me tell you, they need it.

I just discovered you two and this is a fun channel you have going! Regarding this one, my daughter and i went to see them at the Los Angeles Coliseum last year and they were a blast.....Literally!! No matter where you sat in the staduim, the pyrotechnics show kept you warm and entertained.... I wondered why such a huge stadium when they've played indoor arenas, until I saw the stage show (google images) and realized that the new show wouldn't actually FIT indoors! Ha! The band members ware fire retardant because of the fireworks. Till, the lead singer, took a full pyrotechnics course so he could create the fireworks safely. I totally love this band and I'm a 57 year old woman and English, but I love their vibe and passion for their music. Plus they are awesome.
Yes, you saw that correctly. The whole stage was lit up. If you watch Feuer Frei, they breathe fire. The first three rows of their shows are called Hot Seats for a reason.
Check out Sonne. Some more great flame effects in it plus its a total banger! I saw them live in Quebec City and even though I am a theatre major who has been to thousands of shows in my life, seeing Rammstein live is by far the number one best live performance of anything I've ever seen in my life.
Most incredible experience of my life outside of family. Honestly when it was over i literally teared up. I since i live in the USA they dont come here often. End of 2021 i finals got to see them in Chicago at solider field. I bought the ticket just before covid hit so i had to wait two more years to see them. It was all my butt would talk about lol. I LOVE THESE GUYS! They have an incredible amount of great music, live and studio. I suggest if you get the chance GO SEE THEM YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT! We finally saw them last year and the show was IN-CREDIBLE! We were in the nose bleed seats and you could feel the heat from the flames up there.... INTENSE! My recommendation is to check out the song "Sonne" live 2022 or 2023. The song is one of their best songs and the stage show for it is awesome. Additionally, the video for Sonne is great too.
Their live shows are amaz8ng. I went to the 'mutter' tour in 01,02 or something. Took my dad and one of his buddies so we hung out at the bar at the back of the floor area and we could feel the heat from all the fire. Such a good show
Rammstein are absolute masters of their craft. They follow in a long line of Industrial / noise rock / performance groups in Europe including Einstürzende Neubauten, Mutoid Waste Company, Archaos, Test Dept back to Faust and even further back to Shostakovich and the Futurists ‘Art of Noises’.
I was listening to this with my friend Crystal in her room when this came out back in the day,her German Grandmother burst in and says why so angry music ,You Hate me why why so much anger ,and storms off 😂 I saw them with Kmfdm here in Vegas and they do not disappoint.

I went to their last concert in Vienna (there were 2 in 2 days) and it was something epic. I felt the flames even up in the back of the stand. The show cannot be described in words alone. You have to be there to feel the heat of the flames and the audience.
The lead singer Til Lindeman is a professional Pyro Technician this is why they can get away with a lot of fire and explosions in their show. Moreover the Post Apocalyptic look they wear along with their exposed skin is covered with anti flammable grease, this is why the shiny appearance. For people who haven't been so lucky. I am thankful that I was able to join Rammstein this year in Italy and France. Even if you are approx 60m / 180ft away, you can feel the heat of the fire. The tickets for Italy 2024 just arrived today. This time fire-zone.
Man on the treadmill is known as "Flake" on the keyboard. "Flake" easily gets bored during the concert. Plus, as both of you go thru Rammstein's rabbit hole, will see he becomes Til Lindemann's (singer) whipping boy during each concert. Til and other members of Rammstein are covered in flame retardant gel because of the pyros on each show. Til is also a licensed and certified Pyrotechnician heads a crew of pyrotechnologists on setting up pyros and making sure of its safely used in concert. Many years ago, Rammstein had an incident of pyros gone wrong and injured some in the audience.
Amazing part of this concert, it was held in Paris where 80+years ago Germans occupied France before WWII. Fans, mostly French fans chanting "Du Hast" (You Have) or "Du Hasst" (You Hate). In German, certain words has similar spelling with different meanings. Time does heal all wounds.

Before Rammstein and other German Bands like Scorpions, there was another group of German Bands. They were called Krautrock by some British journalist although not everyone liked the name. These people came of age in the late 60's and 70's, being born after W ll, growing up in a country that was occupied by American, British, French and Soviet troops and then finding out what their parents were up to during the War. You can imagine the effect. They wanted to create a music that was not like Anglo-American Pop. If they were influenced by Anglo-American music it was by Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Velvet Underground, Hawkwind and early Pink Floyd. Each group went there own way. Some of the Bands were Kraftwerk, Amon Duul 2, Neu, Can, Ash Ra Temple, Popol Vol, Cluster, Agitation Free, Tangerine Dream, Faust and Harmonia. They will make an interesting journey.
The stuff that looks like blood and dirt is actually an anti burn cream type stuff to protect the band from the heat and possible burns, Tel the lead singer is also a fully licensed pyro technician,rumor has it the tread mill was also powering some of the effects on the stage.
Live performance is unlike anything one could possibly imagine and by far is the best and biggest live show you could ever attend. A mix of German industrial metal with a pure musical theater performance along with the most extravagant pyrotechnics show. All of which combines together in a masterful live work of art. Even if one is not a fan of the music, one simple attendance at a live show and your mind will undoubtingly change. Speaking as a fan since the mid '90's who has seen performances of legends from B.B. King in a small theater to The Rolling Stones 40 Licks tour in Chicago, Rammstein by far is the greatest show ever. It is a show that is in a league all to its own. Just imagine last summer at U.S. Bank Stadium, Rammstein played at their first NFL Stadium. The stage setup had 1,350 tons of freight that required seven 747 cargo planes to fly all of it from Europe. They travel with a crew of 250 and hire on upwards of 300 or more locally to setup the stage which takes days. No matter where you sat in the staduim, the pyrotechnics show kept you warm and entertained.... I wondered why such a huge stadium when they've played indoor arenas, until I saw the stage show (google images) and realized that the new show wouldn't actually FIT indoors! Ha! The band members ware fire retardant because of the fireworks. Till, the lead singer, took a full pyrotechnics course so he could create the fireworks safely. I totally love this band and I'm a 57 year old woman and English, but I love their vibe and passion for their music. Plus they are awesome.

I saw them live in Quebec City and even though I am a theatre major who has been to thousands of shows in my life, seeing Rammstein live is by far the number one best live performance of anything I've ever seen in my life.
Most incredible experience of my life outside of family. Honestly when it was over i literally teared up. I since i live in the USA they dont come here often. End of 2021 i finals got to see them in Chicago at solider field. I bought the ticket just before covid hit so i had to wait two more years to see them. It was all my butt would talk about lol. I LOVE THESE GUYS! They have an incredible amount of great music, live and studio. I suggest if you get the chance GO SEE THEM YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT! It ruined all other fun for me lol forgot to say if i see more Rammstein reations i certainly will subrice and like every one!

We finally saw them last year and the show was IN-CREDIBLE! We were in the nose bleed seats and you could feel the heat from the flames up there.... INTENSE! My recommendation is to check out the song "Sonne" live 2022 or 2023. The song is one of their best songs and the stage show for it is awesome. Additionally, the video for Sonne is great too.

Their live shows are amaz8ng. I went to the 'mutter' tour in 01,02 or something. Took my dad and one of his buddies so we hung out at the bar at the back of the floor area and we could feel the heat from all the fire. Such a good show

Rammstein are absolute masters of their craft. They follow in a long line of Industrial / noise rock / performance groups in Europe including Einstürzende Neubauten, Mutoid Waste Company, Archaos, Test Dept back to Faust and even further back to Shostakovich and the Futurists ‘Art of Noises’.
It´s the only band on this planet, who has a "fire zone" in their locations. Most of the band members are trained fireworks technicians :o)

I went to their last concert in Vienna (there were 2 in 2 days) and it was something epic. I felt the flames even up in the back of the stand. The show cannot be described in words alone. You have to be there to feel the heat of the flames and the audience.

The lead singer Til Lindeman is a professional Pyro Technician this is why they can get away with a lot of fire and explosions in their show. Moreover the Post Apocalyptic look they wear along with their exposed skin is covered with anti flammable grease, this is why the shiny appearance. For people who haven't been so lucky. I am thankful that I was able to join Rammstein this year in Italy and France. Even if you are approx 60m / 180ft away, you can feel the heat of the fire. The tickets for Italy 2024 just arrived today. This time fire-zone.
Man on the treadmill is known as "Flake" on the keyboard. "Flake" easily gets bored during the concert. Plus, as both of you go thru Rammstein's rabbit hole, will see he becomes Til Lindemann's (singer) whipping boy during each concert. Til and other members of Rammstein are covered in flame retardant gel because of the pyros on each show. Til is also a licensed and certified Pyrotechnician heads a crew of pyrotechnologists on setting up pyros and making sure of its safely used in concert. Many years ago, Rammstein had an incident of pyros gone wrong and injured some in the audience.
Amazing part of this concert, it was held in Paris where 80+years ago Germans occupied France before WWII. Fans, mostly French fans chanting "Du Hast" (You Have) or "Du Hasst" (You Hate). In German, certain words has similar spelling with different meanings. Time does heal all wounds.
Rammstein make always a crazy performance, from Madison Square Garden is a lot online, everything is worth for watching. Even if you are not a metal head or speak German. It's spectacular.
Right now, in musical terms, there are three bands that you have to watch in a concert: Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Nightwish, not necessarily in this order. Believe me, you will not feel complete if you don't watch a live show. You might like this song a bit more than that one, but all are absolute bangers. There are no such thing as a favourite song. All of them are favourite. Also, pretty much every Rammstein song have dual meanings. The interpretation is up to you. Thirty+ years of career with all the original band members and not even one bad song in their portfolio. That is something really special. You never know what is coming your way, they might surprise you with a lovely tender song, and the next one will shock you for all eternity. That is Rammstein, and why we love them forever. Till Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician. He looks like he does because he wears a flame retardant grease. Uses it because it helps diffuse the heat from all the fire he's exposed to and prevents burns.

Did you ever think you would hear so many French people singing to a German band ( thaat loudly) ;) ( Mind you this is a directors cut so sound and visuals have been rweeaked... but the fireworks are ll real... if you watch a more modern version of live show with advacnments in Drone tech youyou will see how huge the setup really is... Now that being said Imagine what an offical vud looks like... I'll give you a hint... Deutschland m offical vid is the 2nd most expensive music vid ever produced... over 6 mill USD...I'd rcommen live preformancce Engel ( I Think Madison square gardens is most pop) then start you off on a not so mind blowing offical vid... Before Rammstein and other German Bands like Scorpions, there was another group of German Bands. They were called Krautrock by some British journalist although not everyone liked the name. These people came of age in the late 60's and 70's, being born after W ll, growing up in a country that was occupied by American, British, French and Soviet troops and then finding out what their parents were up to during the War. You can imagine the effect. They wanted to create a music that was not like Anglo-American Pop. If they were influenced by Anglo-American music it was by Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Velvet Underground, Hawkwind and early Pink Floyd. Each group went there own way. Some of the Bands were Kraftwerk, Amon Duul 2, Neu, Can, Ash Ra Temple, Popol Vol, Cluster, Agitation Free, Tangerine Dream, Faust and Harmonia. They will make an interesting journey.
The stuff that looks like blood and dirt is actually an anti burn cream type stuff to protect the band from the heat and possible burns, Tel the lead singer is also a fully licensed pyro technician,rumor has it the tread mill was also powering some of the effects on the stage.
Live performance is unlike anything one could possibly imagine and by far is the best and biggest live show you could ever attend. A mix of German industrial metal with a pure musical theater performance along with the most extravagant pyrotechnics show. All of which combines together in a masterful live work of art. Even if one is not a fan of the music, one simple attendance at a live show and your mind will undoubtingly change. Speaking as a fan since the mid '90's who has seen performances of legends from B.B. King in a small theater to The Rolling Stones 40 Licks tour in Chicago, Rammstein by far is the greatest show ever. It is a show that is in a league all to its own.
Just imagine last summer at U.S. Bank Stadium, Rammstein played at their first NFL Stadium. The stage setup had 1,350 tons of freight that required seven 747 cargo planes to fly all of it from Europe. They travel with a crew of 250 and hire on upwards of 300 or more locally to setup the stage which takes days. If you see Till (the lead singer) in a lot of the live vids, he's always got what looks like grease on him, that's fire-retardant. He was so into the pyrotechnics that he went out and studied and got his own license, he likes to use so many and likes to work so close to them that he uses that incase he misses a mark and is standing too close to an explosion.
