- I'm assuming you already know the game is a co-op game with a traitor and what a Cylon is. I made this for my friends to give the quickest explaination of how to play I can without leaving out details.
I am really surprised there is little content about this game on RUclips. This is my all time favorite. Played a lot about 10 years ago.
Thank you dude, that means a lot! It's still my favorite game of all time (with the right group).
came here to make that comment. Haven't played the game yet, but read the rule book and was watching your video to make sure I was clear. Checked the book, and was satisfied that I think I understand gameplay... now to teach my friends!
I haven't played in a while, so this was a really great refresher. love this game.
You could use your President action twice, the office twice, or any two actions. So even if you were in the brig, if you were given an executive order, you could draw a card for 1 action and use a card for 1 action (or even reveal). I've seen someone use 1 action to get out of brig and 2nd action reveal as a Cylon.
great video! I just bought the game and it helped a lot with understanding the basic game flow objectives.
It's still my group's favorite board game and I own quite a few at this point. It's also a running gag that if it's late and we want to play something around 30 mins long, we'll go "ok, just a quick game of Battlestar Galactica". We always want to play it, but don't always have the time.
@eliteoftheelite The President card says you can draw one as an action. You get one action per turn. However, if you use your action activating the President's office, you may draw one and play one from your hand, or draw one and choose to draw another (you can look at the first before deciding to use one or draw for another). Also, if someone else uses an executive order (green skill card) on you, that gives you two actions.
very clear and useful :) ty !
@Badon124 Yes, two cylon centurions on the boarding track, they do not bump each other. Just put them on top and yes, you need to kill 2 to be safe.
@Badon124 So I'm assuming 2 heavy raiders are at one of the hanger bays (red arrows)? Then when heavy raiders get activated, you take the heavy raiders off the board and put 2 centurion tokens on the track. They will both move forward next time heavy raiders get activated.
Totally. I made this video to explain everything in the base set. There may be weird situations that come up, then you can double check something in the rules. This game is too awesome not to play.
@themaster408 So there are simply two to kill; each of which are at the same "progress" marker. Ok. I was wondering if one would kick the other one closer.
Great video.
Can you tell me what happens if more than one cylon boards? Say...at the same time?
I may reupload this because of 1 huge flaw. I've always played wrong with the Raiders moving towards vipers. They attack vipers first, but if there's nothing to attack in their quadrant, they move to nearest civilian ship, clockwise if equidistant. So the raiders would go to top left, not bottom left.
An example: in this video I say for skill checks you "go around putting in cards". I wasn't specific. If it was the end of your turn when you did the Crisis card and there's a skill check, then starting with the person on your left, one player puts in cards (has to say how many he's putting in, but can lie about what they are), then the next. You would be the last person to put in cards.
You may discuss how many people plan to put in, but you can lie about that too.
in the video. Forgot to mention Dice for damaging/attacks in ship to ship combat
Thanks Dude!
Im finding it hard to play this with a millions of rules in the book, do you think you could use this video to play this game and only slighly use the rule book?
what about the Expansions how do they work
Hmm...I should make one at some point. I own all 3 expansions and each one has optional parts to it. Right now I don't have a video for it, but I may make one in the near future. If so, I'll post another reply here and let you know.
as a first timer, really didn't help...
+Michael North I don't think it's supposed to be a comprehensive guide (thats what the manual is for), but great for a host to show new players so they get the idea and gist of the game.
