I rode KTM for years as the high seat was very good in the parts catalogue so piced up a new bike with a couple of high seats everytime. The GUTS look good and a good test Dennis.
Seats change according to whats in style. 5-10 yrs ago, everyone had that stepped seat that kept you from sliding back. Then there was ribbing on the back, ribbing front to back, & now the arrows.
6’3 tried wing seat on my 16’ yzf to get some extra to grip. Never going back, it was first mod on 24 ktm. Wing seat, phantom foam (firm and doesn’t break down as easy). I stayed with stock height.
Custom Tall soft and cut it down some, if you want comfort but a little higher. The guts high seats are about 3/4” taller, I’ll typically cut 1/4” or 3/8” off that. To cut the foam evenly, use a sharpie draw matching lines along the sides. Then use an orbital sander with a course paper 60grit to cut the foam down. Long swipes, be careful to not take too much material out. Eyeball it from the back to make sure it’s level. You can create your personal arch or flat.
@@idfitnessoxford Yes. I didn't want a hump on my seat so I decided to try the wings and they work better than I expected. However I don't know if it works as well on all bikes since the "rider triangle" and seat width varies. Very skinny bikes might not get the same improvement that I did but I'm just guessing. Mine is a '22 YZ450 so not very thin to begin with.
@@MatthewC137 gotcha. I have a gas gas 450 and I have trouble gripping my bike under acceleration when I stand. Feels like I am going to fall off the back of the bike…no matter how much I lean forward and squeeze. That why i asked about the seat. I am squeezing so hard I am getting bruises on the inside of my knees with braces on.
I ride a 97cr250r. I have a Tall seat with soft foam. I ordered soft by accident from guts, ended up being a blessing in disguise as it made the vibration so much more mellow. Definitely enjoy the tall seat more at 6’2
It was a few years ago and needed a new seat for my older 2012 KX450F and just wanted an entire seat to just bolt on, man it is really hard to find a complete seat there are a ton of covers and I can do it but I just wanted a new seat with everything already ready to go. So if you make parts make some more SEATS complete so I can just bolt them in. I am not good with staplers. Seriously. I have scars to prove it.

Arrows is just for aesthetics obviously …
Alot of guys still have steps in there seat's.
I like the arrow ones because it reminds me what direction the bike goes

I run the Guts winged seat and it works well.
Do you feel like it help provide better grip when squeezing with legs?

My Yami stock seat works just fine, A-class rider.
I personally like a guts high 4 rib no bump, seat.

They are talking about weight reduction of a front wheel axel but remove the kick starter and put el motor and batery to start the engine:)))))
Yeah the stock works seats arent up to par
The throttle jockey seats don't leave much cushion for over 190lb riders much support
@ motocross racing seats bikes not meant for all day riding anyway thats common mistake ppl forget. Gotta buy trails foam style seats for trails

Guts wing seat on 24+ yz250f is pointless doesn’t stick out enough to even be used as intended.
You never sit on the seat. Load of shite post.
Dennis, the tall blue seat you are holding, do you know if that is 30mm or the 45mm tall seat?
