If you end up modding the engine/airflow make sure you get HPFP internals and an accessport BEFORE ANYTHING else. Congratulations! That’s a gem.

even just an accessport first if you can't afford both. so you can at least keep an eye on the fuel pressure
High pressure fuel pump internals first even when your stock and get a real tune. The ots maps blow up motors the cobb ones r str8 garbooo

Congrats on the speed3. Got it new in 2013 with 2miles and currently at 120k miles. Car has been solid. There is a tried and true upgrade path, please follow it! Fuel pump and accessport first. You can get the awesome touch screen deck from Crutchfield, and it's really cheap and very easy to install.
mods in this order HPFP, Full turbo intake, Full downpipe or 2 piece down pipe... then cat-back exhaust... no fat turbo right away lol... the turbo is arriving in a few weeks .... enjoy the low miles I'm at 138k...
I have a gen 1 speed 3 with a gen 2 motor even if ur speed 3 is stock it needs the upgraded high pressure fuel pump internals it’s a must for every gen and every year. Even if your keeping it stock it still runs way too lean. And get it tuned by Justin at freektuned if u don’t want it to blow up. And don’t ever ever ever ever go full throtle in 6th it will blow up
Watch for that turbo going bad, my seals went at like 55k
I got one last month for 4k it had 132k on the odometer but its a one owner old guy and it's stock perfect engine and transmission he had it sitting out of registration for 4 years and I stole it for 4grand a Japanese car for 4 grand I have allready put 8k in parts and upgrades and I'm loving it

The awd system on the speed 6 was trash. That’s why they didn’t put it in. It had so many problems. Make sure u do auto tech or corksport hpfp internals and ngk iridium 6510 spark plugs and a full synthetic 5w40 Instead of the 5w30
I have a gen 1 speed 3. Love the interior way more than the gen 2. But regardless of what year speed 3 it is, they are such a blast to drive.
Best advice I can give you is... Do your research. I was researching for about 2 years before I bought mine. Edge autosport, corksport, Cobb tuning, and Rock Areuto are good places to purchase parts.
Good luck with it. You should love it. But watch out for the 2nd gear torque steer. It will make you shit a little bit. And gets the blood pumping. Just adds to the fun and thrills. 👍👍👍
Damn that is low mileage, I thought mine was low. Nice speed! Just picked one up a month ago 2013 52k on it.
Do your research on this platform I have videos on my channel but there are also a ton of knowledge out there on this platform. It’s an awesome car but is temperamental if you don’t do things right. HPFP internals and accessport should be your first mods if you plan on doing anything performance wise to it.
No WOT pulls at low rpm man, you'l go zzb cause of the excessive torque low end with the K04
