Idk why the opponent never even tried to set up anything though. I understand Clefairy has taunt, but surely Scizor was faster. A single Swords Dance would've actually done something.
I cant believe they got rid of them and replaced them with the crappy enlargement feature. There's a TON of problems I have with the game, but damn, that one stang.
@@3EyesPurpleCat I never really liked the megas or z moves. But it is kind of a bummer to step back. Though, I do think it would be silly to keep adding until there were thousands pokemon in a game and a dozen weird individualized mechanics involving battles. Of course I would be a bit happier without trade evolutions and limited events from past gens that have to basically be hacked in.
@@chaosryans Its not silly is important having all the pokemon like always afterall the game have existed since over 20 years and many people have collected pokemon including in this the shinies,events,legendaries and the difference in the pokemon that can have moves that they cant have in any other way,also the z moves allow pokemon to have coverage in some cases the pokemon cant have coverage withouth the z moves while the megas in case in pokemon such as beedril and bannete make a huge difference withouth that they become useless in competitive battles so yes this things are important and NatDex and been able to have all pokemon also have on mind that they are pokemon trainers that have over 800 pokemon already.

I think Gen IV was the best in terms of competitive battling. The majority of Pokémon in the current meta still use Movesets from the HGSS Meta, just with a few new moves thrown in, or a different agility.
I’ve watched all your mega sweeps! They were my accompaniment while I washed dinner dishes and prepared lunches. This sweep though was ingenious. I would have been losing my mind had I been the opponent xD Looking forward to where the channel will go with Sword/Shield!

I was hoping for a Grass Pledge showcase, but this was really awesome. I had forgotten the move "Spotlight" even existed! By the way Pimpnite, once Sword and Shield have been out for a while, I think you should consider alternating between Gen 8 and Gen 7 videos. That way you can continue to showcase all the Pokemon, old and new. Maybe do a poll to see if other fans think it's a good idea.

I wish they'd surprise us with more megas! I was hoping they'd cover all the starters prior to gen 7 and give a few more like Lapras, Clefable, Gothitelle, Raichu, MEW, ARBOK, Dragonite, Roserade, Tropius, Arcanine and Flygon.
Also can you do a Primal Double Battle with a speed tied pair of Groudon and Kyogre, with each being able to only use Fire and Water moves respectively
It's possible: With a Speed tie, it is completely random which weather appears, either Heavy rain or Desolate Land, so one has to Struggle, the other one could attack (Heavy Rain: Kyogre can use Water Attacks, Kyogre has to use Struggle)
But that would be stupid, cause one of them is gonna faint to recoil, and you're gonna lose because you never know if someone's gonna run flash fire or water absorb
ive seen potential counters to this but this was a fun setup to watch. be thankful they didnt have poison fang, unaware, or something like Fire Lash (or even topsy-turvy if they could get it off before the taunt)

How badly would you have raged if a Fling Trevenant was sent out? Or one that Tricked your Ring Target onto your Clefairy? An Oblivious poke to Toxic your Clefairy? And they waited to use it just to ruin your sweep? What would your sodium levels be?

Your setup game for this sweep is insane. You seem to be the only RUclipsr who can run something as stupid as Bide Mega Venusaur and make it work somehow.

Gen 5 was my favourite, with 6 as a close second.

Mega Venusaur sweep starts at 4:13 and ends at 10:20.

You know that won't work right? Desolate land negates water type attacks, and primordial sea negates fire type attacks

They wouldn't use struggle until they ran out of PP, the attacks would just either evaporate or fizzle out.
