➡You can also find the full, printable instructions for air fryer baked potatoes here: www.simplyairfryer.com/air-fryer-baked-potato/ Update: After doing some more research, we'd suggest ALWAYS poking holes in the potatoes before air frying - just to be on the safe side. Although rare, we've heard too many stories of exploding potatoes to take the risk. Always practice safe air frying! 😅
Thanks! We have an Instant Vortex 5.7QT Air Fryer - there's now a "Plus" version which has a few more features (like dehydrate) but we really love ours the way it is. :)
You definitely can cook the potatoes in the microwave if you prefer. Making baked potatoes in the air fryer is just another option... some people may not have a microwave, some may prefer the texture (the skin gets really crispy in the air fryer), and others may just want to give it a try :)
Much better micro first for 8 mins them put in air fryer for 40 mins like this video, they come out so lovely and crispy like you cant do in a microwave. (Unless you dont like crispy skin).

Thanks for the instructions and teaching
To cut down on cooking time you could blast in microwave for about 14 mins first and then about 10 mins in air fryer.
Great tip, thanks for sharing!

@@simplyairfryer Thank you
I haven't learned how to do the air fryers yet but why wouldn't you just cook the baked potato and the microwave?

If you are lactose intolerant, like me, you can substitute Plain Non-Fat Greek Yogurt for Sour Cream
Thanks for your comment, that's a great tip!
Poke holes just to be sure. Lo entiendes?
