Which Ukraine has been begging for the west for this capability since the war started. Also, the Ukraine military had no updated military equipment, it was all old nor they had any proper military training. & this finally happened after the war started which took some time, training Ukrainians in the US & in other NATO countries how to fight. Same with military jets.
The better question is; why has Ukraine been able to fight Russia a nation with a a larger and supposedly superior military to a virtual standstill for two going on 3 years? No NATO troops are in the trenches. But Putin had to call his friend Kim for thousands of N. Korean combat troops to help the Russian military who has stacked up tens of thousands of casualties.
