Just to be clear, for Ancient Dragon Hunts, for a smooth experience, you ideally want a Tank, Healer and 3 Dps. Again with the upscaling it shouldn't matter what you have, but ideally get as much of the stats you need.
Something that both I and a couple of other wizards in my alliance noticed is that our dodge is not working when we fight the dragons. Also a couple of the tanks said they can't hold aggro on them.
Recently I’ve been hitting invisible “walls” in boss fights where I can’t teleport across boss attack lines and I can’t even move around it walking. Might be a glitch, hopefully it will fix soon :(
Just recently came back to the game. All my enhancements are gone. IL is around 25.1 K on my Vanguard Tank. Beating on the dragon in the second stage of the questline (Young Frost) for 45 minutes is rather absurd. It's baffling to try and figure out how to get caught up to be honest. This was always one of the issues with NW. Combat changes, gear changes, companion changes, which nullify work done for months.
So basically a new player can't do dragon hunts. Because at 22.000 iLVL you do not have BIS or maxed companions. If you had all that you would be way over 22000 iLVL. So there would be no need to scale. I would like to see the video at 22000 iLvl with items you get from campaigns. That is a new player. I'm pretty sure that the player would be ripped to pieces by the dragon. So I believe the only way a new player can do this is in a group by having others carry them. Anyway, I think you are doing a great job helping the community. Without you and the other content creators, this game would be a lot harder. So a big THANK YOU!!!
Maybe you could do solo the youngsters hunts required to just unlock the adult version...then you can run with other 2 players and unlocking the ancient in a full 5 party players...I think it can be possible to run the first tier of hunts, maybe optimizing your class gameplay and buying some decent seals gear or dragon vale ring/pants/shirt posted on AH, if you can't farm the queues on your own (I know it's not a so economic solution for a new player but...you could in the end get some interesting gear pieces). I ll try anyway, maybe with some guild mates help. Anyway me too I'll like to watch a fresh geared 20k player doing his first hunt just to see how finishes 🤔😅
@@R3member1 😁 maybe it's doable, I didn't try yet any hunt at all...I'll have some 20/23k alts for bank, but they have recycled pieces from juma I don't have just levelling adventures gear....we can launch the challenge to Aragon...make it with a fresh 18k Tank/healer straight out whisp caverns, no comps bonus, no mythic artifacts mounts debuffs, no Vale set no Mirage/Lion weapons etc... The video demonstration in fact it's not so 'accurate' ... 😁☠️
@@abccba5125 I haven't been able to get through adult dragon even with people who are 60k and up. When we get 27k it's way worse. Can't see getting through ancient with them in the group. The game developers are either out of touch with the game or they're trolls for allowing players to join a dungeon they can't clear or be anything more than a liability in the dungeon.

I can tell you if you can beat a Young Dragon it does not mean you can contribute effectively in an Adult Dragon or Ancient Dragon hunt. I am a Male/Drow/Devout/Cleric/36,000 item level with capped Power/Outgoing Healing for my item level. I heal quite well on an Adult Dragon. At this level only my Intercession which has a steep cool down which heals only the lowest hit-point party member and either my heals at 50% health Daily Power or my other Daily Power stacked with the healing over time of Healing Word is adequate for healing on Ancient Dragons. I can not keep people who just want to spam alive reliably. The damage Ancient Dragons deal is around 300k+. If you want to survive, you have to learn how to use your dodge skill.
No way would a 22kIL would anywhere near the gear you have 3 players at 22k wouldn't last 2 minutes in an adult dungeon, I'm 75k and I got put in with a 22k and a 28k and couldn't finish it, they got smashed
Exactly, the same thing happened to me. Had to run it twice, was deserted the first time. Tried to kill it on my own in the third phase but failed. So they need to match better or change the level requirements.
Poor Cameron manage do you have to actually be absent from one Oreo companion or can they be at right angles because I’m using the mystic that’s the best companion I have right now gets the highest that influence. The damn thing always follows me around so I’m a chef to try and get on the opposite side it follows me around and stays to my right all the time. Am I still doing come and advantage if he stays at my right arm out of single target
This advice didn't age well. I haven't been able to even get past adult dragon with players 60k and up. It's much worse when a we get someone as low as 27k.
Everyone scared me with these ancients. Ran in as a squishy bard dps at 39k IL with guild but with green Soulforged so they won't have to raise me up every time I mop the floor. It was also helping with % because anything else would have been a nerf. I ended up doing about 2/3 of our top dps-er damage who has BiS items. Even with mods, they're just dragons, nothing too scary. Very rarely they will 1-shot me out of nowhere. I would recommend anyone to do at least 5 solo, 5 or so adults no mods, several more adults with mods and then jump into ancients to farm your gear.
The problem is with these actions from Cryptic that there are a lot of people (I-level hunters) who are going running around in mythic gear with poor stats (from Enchants, Mounts, comps, and so on) and no knowledge of the very basic knowledge of dungeons...
We need to come up with a new Cheer’s. Lol I don’t drink much anymore. Lol. Diabetic. I have always liked smoking cannabis. Help this old 55 man feel less pain+++. Smoke them if you got them, is a good starting point. Lol
aragon i have request please if you dont mind, there is companion called "barbarian shaman" which was reward during leveling boost, i think 1 or 2 year ago, if you have that companion please please test it out to see how much healing and dps it has, i am returning players and it is one of my companions i want to see whether its worth leveling it up to mythic or not, anyway thanks for informative videos about the game, it helps returning player like me a lot. good luck.
is decent as active, and the player companion bonus will be very useful if you'll need extra power and combat advantage. for budget builds it's fantastic at mythic
There's a problem though, on xbox you now have people saying "Ancient dragon, fast runs MUST HAVE BAND OF AIR !!!!" same with Tomm and Tiamat.......One ring to rule them all lol Not getting into the debate but its a shame how 1 item is separating a whole community
yeah, its very easy for people to use the band of air as a judgement for sorting people. The Band of Air does show a persons commitment and that they most likely know what they are doing on their class to be able to complete hardcore vos multiple times. So I don't blame people asking for it,
Then the entire Trial? I'm sure that's wrong.....maybe the dragon has more mechanics then the CoK dragon though....but that's debatable. Cok dragon has 1 bite, 2 bleed, 3 tail swipe, 4 claw swipe, 5 breath (directed push), 6 spin, 7 big breath (push) 8 support (immune), 9 slow, 10 damage reflect, 11 fly up, 12 land, 13 rancid stench...I think that's all of them but how many does the new dragon have?

Unfortunately today almost no one does dragonslayer anymore so it is impossible to finish this campaign and impossible in 2023 to get your hands on this equipment. The developers have to come out of the end of the campaign otherwise we will never be able to finish it.
@@Aragon- That's what I did and when I search for adult dragons either the players are too weak or when they are strong it always takes forever to kill an adult dragon... and believe me that 95% of players who do it are only new players too weak who are intrigued to know what knows, nothing more, honestly the developers must come out of the campaign completions and allow to buy coins with the genius gifts, otherwise its impossible (believe me I'm not bad liver)
Im level 20, with 63 something in item level. I can't get on the dragon hunt, when I hit event in the queue list I get the protectors speech event- you know the enemies for P.E. level 5. Has anyone else encountered bug after bug since mod 23?
@@nola7557 I think you could cap out the 80 ridges for every toon, but before you have to run at least 100 ancient hunts with that specific toon to be able to spend the reagents for a mythic ribcage, so....900 hunts for 9 characters at once to get all the chest pieces in 1 week, plus the needed hunts for dropping the others reagents, I think maybe 7-10 with max out modifications for getting surely the max drop/hunt (since the ridges weekly cap allows you to buy only a mythic ribcage for 1 character)....otherwise, 100 initial tier 3 hunts and then 9 weeks with the main of your adventurer to get a piece for every alt
I just got to the Dragon Owen onfun. I got riches off the hot young dragons. Maybe it was off request for more die I don’t know I am, conversely, know my heart first attempt was with Aer barbarian, and while I killed the first John dragon, they used up every bit of resources that I had my warlock at a better time and I’ve killed two of the young dragons with the warlock, but it’s rough on low young players I mean young characters I mean ex ex ex Bernie Rob, even the young dragons

Still no I’m gonna repeat that I have gotten ridges and I’ve only done young I’ve gotten ridges and I’ve gotten what I call Tim general. I’ve got enjoy the components minute amounts I mean I looked up the lady over there that makes the armor for you or whatever, and I’ve gotten like tiny little fragments of the amounts needed, but I did get them off of the young dragons. Only done it on two of my characters and like I say, I Musta went through like 50 heel potions on my barbarian just to complete the one who is not doing well, and I do know one of the things I did wrong on him I did not understand about companions I thought about having them was all are you need it and you could use whichever one you want it kind a like the mounts and I think I was using I was using when I got out of the army the current event box it was only like 150 item level sodium chloride found my Staas was a lot less than a fighter been using domestic one but we all get for leveling

Well. This will be one big bored modul. And ofc, arena isn't for melee characters... It's hard to get near to the dragon because of all that crap on the ground (visible and invisible) and battlefield shouldn't be that small. I think this is the first campaign that we can't finish as solo player. We just need that ancient fights to finish campaign.
Adult Dragon fights are extremely boring for any group with a tank. They highlight the entire lack of class balance they have been doubling down on these last few updates. Why don't Bard songs give 3X bonus to support roles? It would justify running Bards. Why prolong these fights for no reason? Ancient Dragons will be the entire point of Hunt grinding, Adult Dragon fights should be More Fun. 1/3 the HP would be more than sufficient, the bean counters will be focusing on these indulgences sooner or later.
That's not the case as acciant dragon is hard they can 1 shot and u find players only realy run with there guild members I run with any1 I don't mind but being 22k in that you will get hit so hard and need a lot of scrolls
Life is too short to be capped on how much you can do yet on the other hand be required to complete a certain amount each day. My ex-wife was more lenient.
Now do it without BOA equipped and those weapons. Gear up from the level up adventures tab in the seals trader, remove your mythic enchants even the comp one. Gear out to true 24k IL like a new player would be. Then repost this. You did the community a disservice with this video. You told new players they can totally solo this content no problem. I think you've lost touch with the new player experience and seem to forget how few resources they have. Zone chats are full of players requesting to be carried by "HDPS". The devs messed up making this content 18k min IL and you messed up by telling your community disingenuous information. TL:DR - Tells new players they can totally solo this stuff NP while using the most powerful and optimal items that a new player would not have. LIES
@@Aragon- it wouldn't matter. I know what I've seen with my own eyes. I haven't even seen a 22k period. Usually they're around 27k+ item level. I'm currently watching a match right now with one 52k and two 72k+ struggling on adult. Your insistence on pushing this forces me to unsub. You're out of touch and you're incentivizing newer players to saddle the group with the burden of carrying them when even higher item level groups fail. See ya. Lol.

I think you do great work breaking down numbers, gear sets and what abilities are doing in the background. It is a great demonstration of META knowledge. However, when you post a video claiming that NEW players can complete this content and still contribute to the end result you sir are LYING. Your control variable does not match the control group that is what a new player has access to. It's bad science and YOU KNOW IT. Using bad science to garner views with an attempt to justify your bad science with an even worse example of a GROUP control variable is wrong. Start a new character. Use ONLY the items and resources a NEW player would have access to and you will understand the flaw in your claims. TL:DR - All knowing Aragon responds to claims of bad science with even worse science as justification for bad science.
I kind of stopped doing dragon hunts at all for now after getting to rank 10 because even with almost 55k IL, it takes my Hunter Ranger almost 20 minutes to kill one, and that's with Power over cap. Part of my problem with that is the fact that the dragon runs away twice, making you waste time chasing after it and fighting it's minions, at least the young ones do, don't yet know about the adult or ancient ones. If it takes me almost 20 minutes to fight a dragon, however young or old, I am greatly underwhelmed by the reward from the ones I can defeat alone. Right now, the best ways for me to bump my stats up and get my IL to do better at dragon hunts is to improve my insignias from Legendary to Mythic, improve the quality of my enchantments, and maybe hunt down some higher IL companion gear, but all of that is extremely slow going and as things stand right now, I don't know if I can handle ToMM, ZC, VoS, new Tiamat, and whatever it's called from Dragonbone Vale to do something about my main hand, off-hand, and artifacts.
Takes me 22 to 28 minutes to kill a Young Dragon as a 36,000 item level Devout Cleric with capped Power/Outgoing healing for my item level. I am surprised there is only around a 10 minute difference between our killing speed me being a pure healer. The dragons all run away twice regardless of what type you are fighting and there are monsters you fight in between. Ideally, this is a great time to build up your daily power guage.
@@lanceknightmare As a Hunter Ranger, I should be faster at killing things, but the fact that the dragon runs away is what slows me down. I know that the monsters in between rounds with the dragon are to build up the daily power gauge, but this is not a problem in most other queues. The time spent in them is spent getting to the boss and then defeating said boss, not fighting the boss in multiple rounds as you progress. There are queues and most if not all of the trials that make my statement not true, but these are not meant to be soloed. The young dragon queues are meant to be soloed, and if I take almost as long killing a young dragon myself as it takes a group to kill an adult or ancient dragon or do some other queue, clearly, I need to be stronger but the best ways still available to me take too long to do.
@@EBG... You're right. I was THAT player you seem of man. I would grind so hard that the moment z new expansion dropped and I got the new artifact or whatever... I'd instantly have enough stones saved up from farming so much that it'd get maxxed out. I just hating seeing those people use their CCs and get to my power lvl within a few days which took me so much longer. I had to quit after about 2 years

Steam charts are unreliable as they only capture those players logging into the game using steam. There are huge swaths of players that use direct launchers to access the game that steam cannot provide analytics for. Just a reminder that steam charts are not the end all for data and stats regarding games.

Your a tank as Vanguard, switch to your dps path to kill stuff

I'm at 22k dps mid tier but I manage pretty well as long got single attack power build ,
I completed an ancient drayon hunt with everyone naked, so yeah with the right skill level it is do-able on 22k IL

Brand new player here, BiS is not even close to achieveable.

I upgraded it just to get more combat advantage. I like it because you don’t have to prox it.
It will take me years to get all of this grind done. By then, we will be several mods on and this mythic gear will no longer be anything special. :-)

Unfortunately today almost no one does dragonslayer anymore so it is impossible to finish this campaign and impossible in 2023 to get your hands on this equipment. The developers have to come out of the end of the campaign otherwise we will never be able to finish it.
Don't bother with the campaign, focus on getting your mythic gear from there

That's what I did and when I search for adult dragons either the players are too weak or when they are strong it always takes forever to kill an adult dragon... and believe me that 95% of players who do it are only new players too weak who are intrigued to know what knows, nothing more, honestly the developers must come out of the campaign completions and allow to buy coins with the genius gifts, otherwise its impossible (believe me I'm not bad liver)
Im level 20, with 63 something in item level. I can't get on the dragon hunt, when I hit event in the queue list I get the protectors speech event- you know the enemies for P.E. level 5. Has anyone else encountered bug after bug since mod 23?

All drops are for just your character, but you can buy the gear as account bound

Yes you can do it on multiple character, but some gear has a limit of Dragon hunter rank, and that is character specific

@@nola7557 I think you could cap out the 80 ridges for every toon, but before you have to run at least 100 ancient hunts with that specific toon to be able to spend the reagents for a mythic ribcage, so....900 hunts for 9 characters at once to get all the chest pieces in 1 week, plus the needed hunts for dropping the others reagents, I think maybe 7-10 with max out modifications for getting surely the max drop/hunt (since the ridges weekly cap allows you to buy only a mythic ribcage for 1 character)....otherwise, 100 initial tier 3 hunts and then 9 weeks with the main of your adventurer to get a piece for every alt

I just got to the Dragon Owen onfun. I got riches off the hot young dragons. Maybe it was off request for more die I don’t know I am, conversely, know my heart first attempt was with Aer barbarian, and while I killed the first John dragon, they used up every bit of resources that I had my warlock at a better time and I’ve killed two of the young dragons with the warlock, but it’s rough on low young players I mean young characters I mean ex ex ex Bernie Rob, even the young dragons

The young dragon run, my best timing as a dps ilvl 58k , 2:42min 🤣 so yes Ancient i can do it but now im ilvl 60k i got no responce or get kicked oh and same for nVoS, after ppl ask why we are not full yet and took 2 years for endgame gear
Still no I’m gonna repeat that I have gotten ridges and I’ve only done young I’ve gotten ridges and I’ve gotten what I call Tim general. I’ve got enjoy the components minute amounts I mean I looked up the lady over there that makes the armor for you or whatever, and I’ve gotten like tiny little fragments of the amounts needed, but I did get them off of the young dragons. Only done it on two of my characters and like I say, I Musta went through like 50 heel potions on my barbarian just to complete the one who is not doing well, and I do know one of the things I did wrong on him I did not understand about companions I thought about having them was all are you need it and you could use whichever one you want it kind a like the mounts and I think I was using I was using when I got out of the army the current event box it was only like 150 item level sodium chloride found my Staas was a lot less than a fighter been using domestic one but we all get for leveling

Well. This will be one big bored modul. And ofc, arena isn't for melee characters... It's hard to get near to the dragon because of all that crap on the ground (visible and invisible) and battlefield shouldn't be that small. I think this is the first campaign that we can't finish as solo player. We just need that ancient fights to finish campaign.

Adult Dragon fights are extremely boring for any group with a tank. They highlight the entire lack of class balance they have been doubling down on these last few updates. Why don't Bard songs give 3X bonus to support roles? It would justify running Bards. Why prolong these fights for no reason? Ancient Dragons will be the entire point of Hunt grinding, Adult Dragon fights should be More Fun. 1/3 the HP would be more than sufficient, the bean counters will be focusing on these indulgences sooner or later.
That's not the case as acciant dragon is hard they can 1 shot and u find players only realy run with there guild members I run with any1 I don't mind but being 22k in that you will get hit so hard and need a lot of scrolls

Now do it without BOA equipped and those weapons. Gear up from the level up adventures tab in the seals trader, remove your mythic enchants even the comp one. Gear out to true 24k IL like a new player would be. Then repost this. You did the community a disservice with this video. You told new players they can totally solo this content no problem. I think you've lost touch with the new player experience and seem to forget how few resources they have. Zone chats are full of players requesting to be carried by "HDPS". The devs messed up making this content 18k min IL and you messed up by telling your community disingenuous information.
TL:DR - Tells new players they can totally solo this stuff NP while using the most powerful and optimal items that a new player would not have.

I'm currently watching a match right now with one 52k and two 72k+ struggling on adult. Your insistence on pushing this forces me to unsub. I think you do great work breaking down numbers, gear sets and what abilities are doing in the background. It is a great demonstration of META knowledge. However, when you post a video claiming that NEW players can complete this content and still contribute to the end result you sir are LYING. Your control variable does not match the control group that is what a new player has access to. It's bad science and YOU KNOW IT. Using bad science to garner views with an attempt to justify your bad science with an even worse example of a GROUP control variable is wrong. Start a new character. Use ONLY the items and resources a NEW player would have access to and you will understand the flaw in your claims.
TL:DR - All knowing Aragon responds to claims of bad science with even worse science as justification for bad science.

I kind of stopped doing dragon hunts at all for now after getting to rank 10 because even with almost 55k IL, it takes my Hunter Ranger almost 20 minutes to kill one, and that's with Power over cap. Part of my problem with that is the fact that the dragon runs away twice, making you waste time chasing after it and fighting it's minions, at least the young ones do, don't yet know about the adult or ancient ones. If it takes me almost 20 minutes to fight a dragon, however young or old, I am greatly underwhelmed by the reward from the ones I can defeat alone. Right now, the best ways for me to bump my stats up and get my IL to do better at dragon hunts is to improve my insignias from Legendary to Mythic, improve the quality of my enchantments, and maybe hunt down some higher IL companion gear, but all of that is extremely slow going and as things stand right now, I don't know if I can handle ToMM, ZC, VoS, new Tiamat, and whatever it's called from Dragonbone Vale to do something about my main hand, off-hand, and artifacts.
you need to just be doing ancient dragons as soon as you have them unlocked. Don't waste your time with young or adult
Takes me 22 to 28 minutes to kill a Young Dragon as a 36,000 item level Devout Cleric with capped Power/Outgoing healing for my item level. I am surprised there is only around a 10 minute difference between our killing speed me being a pure healer. The dragons all run away twice regardless of what type you are fighting and there are monsters you fight in between. Ideally, this is a great time to build up your daily power guage.
@@lanceknightmare As a Hunter Ranger, I should be faster at killing things, but the fact that the dragon runs away is what slows me down. I know that the monsters in between rounds with the dragon are to build up the daily power gauge, but this is not a problem in most other queues. The time spent in them is spent getting to the boss and then defeating said boss, not fighting the boss in multiple rounds as you progress. There are queues and most if not all of the trials that make my statement not true, but these are not meant to be soloed. The young dragon queues are meant to be soloed, and if I take almost as long killing a young dragon myself as it takes a group to kill an adult or ancient dragon or do some other queue, clearly, I need to be stronger but the best ways still available to me take too long to do.

@@EBG... You're right. I was THAT player you seem of man. I would grind so hard that the moment z new expansion dropped and I got the new artifact or whatever... I'd instantly have enough stones saved up from farming so much that it'd get maxxed out. I just hating seeing those people use their CCs and get to my power lvl within a few days which took me so much longer. I had to quit after about 2 years

Steam charts are unreliable as they only capture those players logging into the game using steam. There are huge swaths of players that use direct launchers to access the game that steam cannot provide analytics for. Just a reminder that steam charts are not the end all for data and stats regarding games.
