I'm getting "The Virtual Machine failed to boot. That might be caused by a missing operating system or misconfigured boot order. Mounting an operating system install DVD might solve this problem. Selecting an ISO file will attempt to mount it after the dialog is closed" :(

@@mdshakibulhasan2921 No :( I've tried everything, even different tutorials. VirtualBox did not work for me, on my mac.
What I did instead was use VMware fusion.
You probably need to hit "existing hard disk", rather than create a new , to select .vdi file while creating the Kali Linux.

I don’t understand why if we are downloading kali Linux then he chooses Ubuntu all of the sudden 😅
Because Kali is based on Debian Testing, just like Ubuntu. Virtualbox needs some idea what kind of Linux you want to run.

No it is not. VirtualBox is really bad with M1, M2 M3 etc. Try Using UTM to make a virtual machine in apple silicon computers

hello, i am trying to use a usb wifi adapter to use wifi for my vmbox , but it is not showing in my vmbox (kali linux),
i do added this via usb port from vmbox settings, then i changed my network type to bridge, still i can not use usb wifi adapter in vmbox (kali linux) . it will be helpful if you replay. is there any way i can connect with you, so that i can explain more. if needed.
