A Winter's Day in Changthang | Living with the Changpas of Ladakh - 2/6

  • The changpas are a tribe of semi-nomadic people who live in Changthang, the high altitude plains of Ladakh and northern Tibet. Crops do not grow at these high altitudes, so the Changpas survive by raising goats and yaks. It is a hard life as they spend almost every moment days taking care of their animals and processing their produce.
In this episode we will see what a typical day of a Changpa is like during the winters. Everything from their activities at home, in the village and out in the plains with their animals.

Thats because people live simple and together in communities respecting the environment. Hope outsiders always respect this tradition and not try to take development here. It's great to watch your channel. You have such love for Changpa. No commercial Bear Grylis can match you. You have that calmness in you not running to somewhere all the time. The people here have hard life but simple and undisturbed.

I think I found u and ur videos during when I was looking for good stuff on like time lapse and stuff at leh... so it goes back I think 2 3 years back when I saw your channel and since then I have been seeing your each video... and I wish I could join u in one of ur regular visits to the place... and get up close and personal with the locals is the best I think so... u could also make a series of these and sell out to amazon prime or Netflix

That's a interesting suggestion Vasu. I've also thought about the same. But the quality of my content is not upto the level they'll demand. It will slowly get there though.
