A Winter's Day in Changthang | Living with the Changpas of Ladakh - 2/6

  • The changpas are a tribe of semi-nomadic people who live in Changthang, the high altitude plains of Ladakh and northern Tibet. Crops do not grow at these high altitudes, so the Changpas survive by raising goats and yaks. It is a hard life as they spend almost every moment days taking care of their animals and processing their produce.
In this episode we will see what a typical day of a Changpa is like during the winters. Everything from their activities at home, in the village and out in the plains with their animals.

i was reading somewhere that ladakh was considered a happy state inspite of the harsh weather conditions here. Thats because people live simple and together in communities respecting the environment. Hope outsiders always respect this tradition and not try to take development here. You are a great teacher. Some gurus teach with words, you teach by manifesting the principles of universal knowledge. Yes, you are absolutely right, the Universe does manifest reality based on your clear intent. The Changpas are manifesting beauty, hardship and freedom, it is their reality. What a wonderful teaching from life. Perhaps this is Life in Motion.

Great one again ❤️.... I am now realizing the transition from timelapses to cultural documentaries... Keep it up sir 😊...

Timelapses always felt empty to me. This is more fulfilling. But having said that I do want to capture more timelapses as fillers for my documentaries. I'm a bit cross with myself that I didn't capture any timelapses on this trip.
