After all these mini systems coming out, and most recently the Turbo Mini, I think it is time for a Jaguar Mini.

From what I've been told I'm too abrasive. My analogies are crude, language coarse - or forced, depending on whom you ask - and I'm terrible at marketing myself. Honestly, I think another issue is that there's so many people playing critic on RUclips with greater production values (4K capture and rendering), they're family friendly (no cursing, which also appeases RUclips and their advertisers), and choosing subjects that are of greater interest to viewers (i.e. Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Bat Guano). Since I don't care about popularity, I do what I want when I feel like it. So long as someone finds it entertaining and informative, I say "mission accomplished". 😁
Sorry for the lack of content as of late though. Hard finding time to play these days.

@@MasterCastTV NAH, This is why i like your content, games can be bad but you give them a chance as i did ,
bad is in the eye of the beholder, some times all we had was the hype on the back of the box in store or the mags, so what if you where told, that's not a real problem, your voice is legit.
if you focus on that moral outrage directed at yourself you never finish the simple things.
Have you ever ended up with a game you never asked for, being fucking pissed, but then playing said game and finding enjoyment from it.
there is nothing wrong with your delivery, you have good voice for this shit, the peeps who complain are either the critiques or the competition, your just as good as all the rest of the soulless, joyless, shills that do this on Utube. now that's abrasive.
I jest, if you stop or slow down because of what you said above then it is yourself that cares about what others think of you.
but i think you have done a great job so far.

I heard their opinions, though I never let it change me. Learned long ago that you can't please everybody, nor should you even try. You'll go insane. Besides, a wise captain once said, "If we're to be damned let us be damned for what we really are." That's my take.
The only reason I've stopped making videos so much is that my folks have medical concerns that need to be addressed and I'm all they've got in that department. Then I have my own day job, and that pays the bills. Finally, I got into this to keep myself busy between movie projects. Over time, MCTV kinda' crowded out those projects and I focused entirely on this. Ever since the pandemic hit, I view my free time a bit differently. So now I'm focusing on my movie shit. I've even been releasing 'em on VHS and Betamax. Hahaha!

To be fair, they're all videos I've shown already. I just stitched 'em together since some folks seem to like long-form videos. Not entirely sure why that is, but - what the fuck?
I've been around. I'm an "essential worker", so I've been inundated with hours. That, and I do much of the shopping for the household. Don't like the idea of sending my parents out in this chaos, and my wife works from home. My plate's just been really full is all. Ate into video production time.
I'm wanting to get into with Rick so as to see his progress on Nitrous (formerly known as "Not OutRun") and Crumbs (First-Person Pac-Man). However, I'm just getting things back up and running, so it's gonna' be a hot minute. There are some great things on the horizon as far as Jaguar's concerned. Bear with me.
      How've you been?

Yes, to be essential is truly grand! LOL! Honestly, I don't mind doing the shopping and stuff. I can go at my pace there and I'm helping the family. It's the work hours that drag me down. Whoof!
Awesome! Lawrence will be thrilled. With any luck, Last Strike will be out soon, along with reBOOTed. There's just so much shit coming it's not even funny.

Another good Jaguar video. In my time I spent at Atari and at the first E3 I got to play MC 3D with the Jaguar VR and at the time it was pretty mind blowing. The tracking was spot on and the VR headset, again for it's time, was great.
As someone who actually visited Atari on several occasions, interviewed the Tramiels, and has a complete Jaguar collection including some specialized controllers I approve of your representation of the Jaguar. Fair and the snark is at a minimum. 😁
I'd like to add that to garner views revisionist RUclips dorks shit on this console too much IMO.
T2K is in my top 10 games of all time. Still play it regularly today with several different rotary controllers. Makes me sad more people never got to experience it.
Get yourself a RetroTink 2X Scart and a Jaguar Scart cable and prepare to have your mind blown at how good the Jaguar can look on am hdtv.

    • @MasterCastTV
      @MasterCastTV  4 года назад +1

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. To be totally honest, I had released these videos separately, but some viewers like settling in for longer videos as opposed to skipping about. Although, I got to clean up some graphics I didn't like (I get anal about font size and color).
From what Clint told me, the headset was pretty spectacular. It's just a bummer someone hasn't gotten around to duplicating. I guess that would be difficult, considering the lack of paperwork available, not to mention cost. We were lucky to get re-production Pro Controllers I think. Hahaha!
Always try to be fair. Love my snark, though it's typically reserved for crap that doesn't make sense. You know, like The Crow: City of Angels, or JagZombies. I know what you mean though with so many personalities. Someone called 'Nate the Gamer' released a Jaguar review and - again - it's another kid wanting to be a personality. He didn't really bother to research his material, capture looks as if it were done with RF, which effects the A/V perception. Just not good....
He'll have 8,000 subscribers by mid July. 😂
The RetroTink SCART will never happen. Sorry, but I prefer composite via CRT. No HD television. I've seen the fancy shit and I can't say I'm all that impressed. When I first got the Jaguar, I spent a month just fucking around, playing games. Had it hooked up to the HD television via S-Video, and that looked pretty. However, when capturing footage, all of my old consoles are connected to a 20" CRT via composite (it doesn't have an S-Video input)....
I'm sure SCART looks nice if you're stuck with HD, but composite's just fine on an older standard definition television.

To me i feel like the Atari Jaguar along with the 3DO, Sega CD/Mega CD and the 32X get a lot undeserved hate from people not because they actually played on these systems but because they heard it from angry internet reviewers or generic top 10 or top 5 list videos.

Hover Strike, Club Drive, Super Burnout, Attack of the Mutant Penguins, NBA Jam T.E., a handful of Jaguar CD games and the hardware itself. Really, there's lots.

@@MasterCastTV Good thing that it is sorted out for the jag flash cart. For the TG16 mini it's not perfect but the emulation, comes close enough.Id say M2 did a commendable job for it.If you want a way to play turbografx 16 officially it's way to go.Id say this because now the console itself and it's games have become very expensive to buy second hand.
