Wow. Praying for everyone's lights to be on. I and everyone around me in our neighborhood and side of town only had lights off for hours but came back on the same day. If Only Mayor Turner fixed this issue during Hurricane Harvey and the 2021 Freeze this wouldn't happen again.

The number of natural disasters that have been hitting houston has skyrocketed since this new mayor. He seems to have brought an ill wind with him.
Every news conference is a disaster. He has no plans and no solutions to anything but to obsessively talk about the past. What is Whitmire going to do? He is in the hot seat now?

Get prepared, people. The time is NOW! The government is not going to help you, it is up to YOU!
Get yourself a medium-sized generator that will run a window-unit A/C. Keep a decent supply of gas on hand (10 gallons would last 3 days running generator sparingly). Also, have generator and space heater ready for the next ICE STORM (remember that? Did you PREPARE after that nightmare?)

CenterPoint Energy, along with other major energy companies in Texas, has been involved in significant political contributions, especially after legislative sessions. For example, after the 2021 legislative session, energy companies collectively donated about $497,000 to state officials, including Governor Greg Abbott, who received substantial donations from the energy sector. These contributions are often viewed as rewards for favorable legislative outcomes and lighter regulations, suggesting a strong connection between the energy industry and Texas politicians, particularly Republicans.

Blaming a Party is NOT going to fix it. DEMOCRAT MAYOR TURNER who was our mayor for 8 years for HURRICANE HARVEY and The 2021 FREEZE should've fixed this a LONG TIME AGO and Both of those were horribly handled. Those funds were also stolen as well.
