CAS is a hard counter game. Either a single F-16 finish the match in 1 minute or a Pantsir or 2 make the game a no fly zone. This is actually awful for a game like War Thunder with the god awful lineup system.
@@mich421 oh, cool, ty. Then something has to be done about Mavericks, because NATO planes usually carry 6 of them... maybe respawn in the airfield or other indirect nerf past 10.0 so CAS at least have a small time window to detect and kill before the whole team dies.
I don't have a problem with the capabilities of CAS in top-tier. A good player, with situational awareness and game sence paired with a good loadout should be able to have great impact on the game. My problem is however that a there should be an equal counter. I feel like a good SPAA/SAM player should have equal chances against CAS and that is simply not the case. If the CAS player peaks inside the AA SPAA/SAM range, and drops his payload he can get out of the range way to easily. The only valid counter to CAS is playing CAS yourself or take a dedicated interceptor into your deck. I often do the latter and it is quite fun for a time but can be quite boring after a while. I really hope they revert some of the changes they did to SAMs like the VT1 or rebalance SPAA/SAM in general.
Watching these RUclipsr lobbies fucking infuriates me I rush with my hstvl cap scout 8 million people and get points for the f16c often without even killing anyone and there is ALWAYS a fucking pantsir with a missile already on the way before I spawn or on the odd chance there isn’t one up at that moment the agm65s do absolutely fucking nothing
@@mich421 ye, thermal is nice and range is nice. But if there is only one f16/f15 in the enemy team with aim120 and this happens almost always its done. Before fox 3 parch the su25 was good playeble

After mavericks and hellfires buff F16C is a force to be reckoned with. AIM120 on top makes it the most dangerous foe in GRB

If you fly high it will definitely notice you but if you fly low behind trees and hills the pantisir can't do anything to you

Pantisir radar has been nerfed now you also have interference with the terrain and things around you

How do you switch between targets in TWS?
it does it for you but i think there is a setting to soi your radar to each target but idk what it is
theres a keybind for it called "select radar/irst target to lock" it basically cycle thru targets on ur radar
Lmao, funny you should mention that CAS is broken... I just played with F-16C in my line up, ended up being spawn camped in the air by 15 enemy planes

Way better than su25sm3. And people still say its best cas. Wow 30-40km range but u need to hold 1 min track and die by aim120...
The SU 25 is super slow that's its biggest problem and you don't have much maneuverability the only good thing is the thermal vision
