Well explained. But Negative reinforcement should not be mixed up with punishment. Any reinforcer ( negative / positive) is used to increase a particular behaviour, whereas , when we say punishment ( positive/ negative) , it is to reduce a behaviour. Negative reinforcement should never be used synonymously with punishment . Thanks.
