This was an amazing story, Keiichi loving and raising his niece as his own, and Kaede being willing to do the same with the man she loved, as well as paying forward all the love and support that she received from her own adoptive parents, was very touching. Family isn't always about blood relations, it's about who loves and supports you throughout your lives.

Honestly, I know they are going for tsundere, but it really sounds like she is pouting more than insulting, so I am ok with it.
I somehow find the family dynamic between all the characters to be very wholesome and heartwarming. The fact that Naho and Keichi parallels Kaede and her parents relationship and proving that blood relation is not what makes a family but the bond between each family member fills my heart with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
It's nice to see that, despite her mind coming up with some convoluted ideas, she was able to act rational towards him when he was clearly pushing his limits to be a good worker and good father.

Honestly, it is just a bit of emotional immaturity. Kaede determined that she must be this strict manager to be respected, so when expressing her desires conflict with that person, it comes out as pouting.
Emotional maturity would be to actually tell him how she feels, or ask if she can join him.
I would have immediately left the workplace for doing all that, like seriously, she treated him horribly all because she couldn't date him.

In PH 🇵🇭 we have this thing called pedecab (a bike attached with a side car) my dad always takes me for a ride in both mornings and afternoons when the sun does not hurt much ur skin. He bought a pedecab so he can safely take me for rides (he ties me with his expensive belt too like a seat belt so I wont fall off. Lol) now he's a little scared I do BMX. Hahaha😅

I love kids. That's a big reason why I became a teacher. And I was very happy when one of my principals made me the school's Science Lab Teacher. That meant that I got to "play" (science-wise) with the kindergarten through 5th grade kids at my school. Especially the kindergarten.
I bring this up because the MC took his 5 year old daughter to daycare everyday on his bike (BTW he should retire his bike and get a scooter with a child seat on back; faster, so he won't be late to work anymore) reminded me of something I used to do with the kindergarten classes.
In Georgia, kindergarten has to study how things move: fast, slow, stop, go, circles, spinning, forwards, and backwards. Which means that the kids get to play with all kinds of toys during this unit. But the best part for them is the beginning of the unit.
We play Follow the Leader, with me as the leader. We do all of the movement types as we trot down the halls, giggling. Other teachers always looked out their doors and would smile at our silly antics. But the best part always came when we returned to the lab.
I often had to use a wheelchair during the course of the day due to arthritis and gout. Not all the time, but often. During the week that I was teaching movement to the kindergarteners, I always made sure to fortify myself with pain medication. Because it wouldn't be me in the wheelchair, it would be the kids.
I'm a pretty big guy, so I had a wide wheelchair. Wide enough that two 5 year olds could sit in it comfortably. So two at a time, I had the kids sit in it. And the wheelchair was transformed into a carnival ride.
I would push the kids fast, slow, backwards, forwards, spinning in place, circles, and tipping the chair backwards so that the handles almost touched the floor (which meant that the kids were pretty much laying on their backs in the chair, which also meant that sometimes I would get kicked in the head accidentally due to the positioning). All the while, I would be calling out the directions as we moved: fast, slow, etc. The whole class would be laughing in delight as I wore myself out (and kindergarten was always my first class of the day, so I would still have to pull up the energy for the 1st through 5th grade classes and whatever they were doing that day).
The kids loved it, and they never forgot the meaning of the movement words after that.
Besides, it was fun for me, too, even if it was tiring.

I guess Japan is way different from here in the US. I'm retired and started watching Manga and love most of the stories. What I said about being different is how families there can turn there back on other family members who are in need. Oh it happens here but that is a rarity or just the child is running wild. There is no way I would turn my back on a family member like that especially one as sweet as this girl!

Typical how this goes. If its a single mom in these mange dubs, the FMC was stupid, married a deadbeat, got divorced, and the (typically younger) MC picks up the pieces. If its a single "dad" its either his niece, little sister, etc - i.e., never his kid. How about have the single dad be a real single dad and marry a younger woman? I only recall one video like that over the past year, but there are dozens of the first two examples I describe. Tired of it.
